Villa Pacific has exceptional service. Grounds are always maintained. They have the best views you can find in Bay Park.

I recently moved out of Villa Pacific Apts, they continue to raise the rent and made it difficult to remain. The views were fantastic but lots of surrounding road noise. I recently received a check for my deposit which I expected to be in full but was charged a $ 240 cleaning fees. That is ridiculous and I have proof that the Apartment was in fantastic shape. It just seemed one more way for them to squeeze money out of a departing tenant.

Update 9÷1÷15: A year later and theres TWO $ 3500 collections on my credit report I’m trying to get removed. They were left with my forwarding address to send me anything regarding damages or move out costs or anything of that matter.(there were none, and the place was infested with BED BUGS and uninhabitable upon my moving out)
Ive heard from my previous neighbors who I still see around (I didn’t move very far away) and they confirm the degradation of the quality of this apartment complex. The fairytale they presented to all of us has come to an end.
Be prepared for no credit or background checks, 75 year old peeping toms as your neighbor, hell if youre lucky he might even whisper to you through your bedroom window and offer to take you away to another country (THIS HAPPENED THREE TIMES IN MY STAY HERE FROM THE TENANT IN 2916 WHO HAD BEEN REPEATEDLY ARRESTED AND TAKEN TO PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL AND MANAGEMENT DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT, EVEN THOUGH THAT KIND OF ACTIVITY IS PROHBITED IN THE LEASE.)
You can clearly see in several reviews left by other tenants that the events that took place in my time living at Villa Pacific (bug infestations, faulty bookeeping, false collections) and shortly after were not independent to my experience. Im just glad I photocopied everything that was ever given to me to catch them in their mistakes.

I lived here for a little over a year incident free (aside from awful book keeping errors) until they started allowing seedy wierdos move into the building… around july 2014 my apartment became infested with BED BUGS. Upon reporting this to the management they informed me it was my responsibility and they were not going to do anything to fix the situation. It was not until I refused to pay rent that they agreed to treat the apartment (and ONLY my apartment). I decided to move out anyways when they took me to court over the unpaid rent (which they dismissed because I had already moved out and the house was uninhabitable during the period of time they were suing me for)
If you or anyone you know is having problems with bed bugs get legal aid and know your rights as a tenant! It saved me from having to pay for living in disgusting conditions. Long story short, I went to gather the remainder of my belongings the day after the second supposed bed bug treatment and found LIVE bed bugs still crawling on the walls. If they were only willing to treat ONE apartment there is no possible way that the infestation is taken care of as they were found crawling up from the floorboards from the first floor apartment below me.
Everything was great here and I had zero complaints until this happened. Darlene and Monica are irresponsible, rude and lazy. I have stood outside the leasing office and watched them ignore my phone calls as a resident on multiple occasions. Monica has hung up on me multiple time on the telephone throughout the bed bug ordeal as well. I was issued two 3-​day notices due to their faulty book keeping. When they raised my rent $ 150 at the end of my lease I was never notified and then charged late fees and given pay-​or-​quit notices. They are not willing to take responsibility for anything!

Lived here for around two years. Generally a happy experience. Very nice view and bright room. Kind of noises by the road side but it is very predicable. Nice maintenance team.

The views are spectacular. The interiors of the apartments are roomy and nice, nice updates (even if they didn’t update the range and oven… odd!) The office staff were friendly when we initially toured and were going through the process of leasing, but now that we have «signed on the dotted line» when you go in to make a request you feel like you are a burden. The parking situation is terrible. Why they can’t figure out an assigned parking situation like so many other complexes is mind boggling. One parking sticker for a 1 bdr, 2 parking stickers for a 2 bdr and if you rent a garage that is your parking sticker then paint numbers and assign the rest of the slots. I don’t appreciate working a 12 – 16 hr shift and coming home and not being able to find a spot in the lot the driving around for 20 minutes on the side streets looking for a spot and walking after being on my feet all day. Its not rocket science to figure out and maintain.

I moved to Villa Pacific in 2013. In initial impression based of the street appearance was that it looked very clean, I meat with the office staff Darlene and Monica and the help a very friendly yet professional dimmer, it mad me feel comfortable. I know that I needed to live here. Since then my family and I have been very happy living here the community is always clean the handymen are always accommodating to our needs and the service is outstanding. Darlene and Monica are always friendly and helpful. We love our apartment and the views that we have every day. We always appreciate the little community events that the management team put together for the resident.
This place is a dream and I would recommend any one to check it out.

Friends of mine just moved into Villa Pacific and so far they really like it. I checked it out today and it is located in a very desirable area – right up on the hill overlooking Mission Bay. I would never get tired of enjoying those great views.
There are three floor plans: 1 B/​R and 1 Bath with 725 square feet;
2 B/​R and 1 Bath with 825 square feet and another 2 B/​R and 1 Bath at 1,000 square feet. Three pools on the property and one is always heated year round.
The one thing that got to me is that my friend from church used to live next door to me. This morning, she said one thing that made me pine for Villa Pacific. She said last night she opened her windows and enjoyed a wonderful bay breeze and it was «SO QUIET!» No airplanes, party people, horns honking, dogs barking! Just QUIET. Another Unilocaler said to stay away from the units near Clairemont Ave. to avoid a lot of traffic noises but if you love pretty views, a convenient location and easy access to Mission Bay Park to go running or biking at – this just might be the place for you.

Villa Pacific Apartments are a breath of fresh air when it comes to the apartment hunting experience. Located right off the 5 freeway, you’re in close proximity to Sea World, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Point Loma, and anything that spans the 8 and 52 freeways. My husband and I have lived in neighboring apartment complexes off of Clairemont Drive, Clairemont Mesa, and in the Serra Mesa community, and none can come close to Villa P.
First and foremost you have the awesome view of Mission Bay from your private 25 foot balcony, in the Summer and most holidays you also get to see the Sea World fireworks show.
Second, the landscaping which doesn’t have anything yet everything to do with your living standards. I mean, it’s beautifully maintained daily, and the maintenance/​property management does a great job attending to the cosmetics of the complex.
Lastly, the details inside the unit are hard to match in this neighborhood. Crown molding in each unit, gas ranges, ample cabinet space, 25 foot private balconies, ceiling fans, designer Millgard sliding windows and doors, and new security front doors top it all off.

What an awesome place to live. It’s close to everything. The beach and bay are minutes away, the 5 is just down the hill and you are centrally located along San Diego’s coastal communities. The buildings are old but charming. They were built in the late 50’s and constructed with solid masonry shear walls separating the apartments which help keep the noise down. The floors are joist and wood construction with gypcrete insulation. The balconies are huuuuge. 27 feet long by 5 feet wide.
Great mix of people living here. There are a few bad apples that have migrated in from Pacific Beach but they usually find themselves being evicted after their first party. It’s a quiet complex with mainly working class adults, some families and young mature couples. Parking is ample along the streets. The garages are huge and come with a 10×10 storage unit attached to them. Management is very friendly and the maintenance crews are great and extremely hard workers. Villa Pacific is a great place to live if you are looking for a quiet neighborhood that’s close to the beach.
Oh yeah, a word of advice. if you do end up moving here, try and get a place that’s off of Clairemont Dr. It’s a little bit noisy on that side with frequent drive bys from loud motorcycles and showboaters in their suped up rides. We lived on that side for 3 years and finally couldn’t take anymore of it and moved to a quieter unit off the street.
