One of my favorite antique/vintage stores in all of San Diego. Lots of really well-chosen items at reasonable prices. We scored a killer hanging lamp for $ 95. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Vestige is awesome! This was our second visit and Greg has some of the best furniture and décor for the MCM fan. We purchased several items on our first visit that were great one of a kind pieces, priced very well. He will work with you a little on price and knows a lot about the items. I would highly recommend Vestige. See you next time.

He stocks the coolest mid-century modern pieces, furniture is NOT overpriced(which is a problem in this genre) and Greg really knows his stuff. Really rad he’s designed a great space with awesome stuff so people can afford to have the designs that they want. He gave me a great deal on a couch of my dreams! I also got some strange little mushroom made of teak and a painting. I’ll be back obviously!

Great addition to the mid-century furniture scene here in San Diego. Vestige has lots of great pieces with a staff who knows full well what’s he’s got and can help with any questions you may have.

If you’re in the market for mid century, you MUST stop by Vestige. It may be a little smaller than some of the other MCM shops in town, but don’t let the size deter you. Greg(the proprietor) knows how to choose quality and collectible pieces. Frankly, what’s most appealing about the curated showroom is that it has an egalitarian flair(yes, egalitarian!). Whether you’re in the market for the perfect Danish modern table or simply a lovely Blenko to adorn your shelf, you’re very likely to find it at Vestige. Sure, you’ll find your iconics and high end lovelies here, including George Nelson and Herman Miller, as well as museum size/gallery worthy art pieces(should you need something to spice up that 20 ft. wall at home), but really, sometimes you’re just in the mood for a smaller collectible. I still smart from letting that Jere-esque flock of birds sculpture get away, but hopefully the Raymor bird dish I picked up today will fill the void… Vestige has an Etsy storefront as well, which I regularly visit to keep updated on new inventory, but if you see something you like, I’d recommend hightailing it down there since there is a good chance someone else is stalking the piece too. The shop seems to have a remarkable turnover rate, so return visits in person and online are generally rewarding… or frustrating *sigh* if you discover you’ve waited too long to make a move on something. Another notable feature of Vestige… the proprietor himself. Not only is Greg happy to answer questions and share his knowledge/enthusiasm for MCM, he seems genuinely concerned that customers are happy with their purchase. Case in point: my hubby and I were so excited about a pair of 1950s lightning bolt lamps(turquoise with 2-tier fiberglass shades, also turquoise!) that we didn’t notice that one of the switches was slightly sticky/reluctant. Not only did Greg point it out, but he offered to replace the switch/socket for free and deliver the lamp to our house. So we took the other lamp home and when I noticed its switch was ever-so-slightly sticky, I mentioned it to Greg and he replaced that switch/socket at no cost too. Even more amazing, he fixed it in front of me, giving me a lesson on how to re-wire a lamp(!). Do yourself a favor and check out Vestige. The pieces are genuinely interesting and varied, the prices beyond reasonable. You’re more than likely to find something you can’t live without while feeling transported to a different – perhaps your favorite – era.

If you believe that a starburst clock is a time piece made of candy, this review may not be for you. However, if you are still celebrating Hawaii’s statehood and think of John Forsythe in Bachelor Father as the REAL Modern Family, you just might be interested(you gotta see the Jack Benny/Bachelor Father crossover episode with Rochester and Peter). My wife and I heard about Vestige courtesy of Stuff, but for the life of us, could not remember the name. After a bout with Siri(‘I’m sorry. Did you say Vesuvius? Prestige?’) and a quick telephone call, we came upon the small and unassuming space that concealed national treasures galore(call Nick Cage, someone?). Eames; Plycaster; a Spanish-Language poster for the movie GIANT. And this guy knows his stuff. He knows Jere isn’t what they call ‘Seinfeld’ in France and that Charles and Ray is not a show that comes after Mike and Molly. We came away with the aforementioned starburst clock and a stone Easter Island head, as well as a tulip side table. All reasonable, backed with the sage wisdom that only a true fan of the period would possess. So, if the last time you cared about the Emmys was when Raymond Burr took the prize in ’61, visit Vestige. If you believe that the only extreme home makeover should involve Monsanto, visit Vestige. Otherwise, you are more than welcome take your GoGo juice, Real Housewives of Delaware and risk it.
