Verde San Diego

A friend of mine bought a bag here and luckily I went in because they only had two left! Loren was extremely helpful in helping me and my daughter choose the best color and how to best style the bag. It was hard to leave with just one bag since they have such an unusual and beautiful selection of handbags and pillows. Many from recycled materials such as Italian upholstery or seat belts. Definitely recommend this store.

Staff are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable about the items they carry. This is the place to go for unique items. Quality and appeal of everything in the boutique is marvelous. I love this place and tell every one who is going to visit Little Italy in San Diego to check out Verde. Thank you Verde!!! You have a repeat customer for sure!

This place is my jam! My favorite purses in the whole world are Harvey’s seatbelt bags and they have a ton in stock! I wanted them all! I am a big environmentalist and I love this store’s concept. Repurposing is always a good idea. The saleswoman was really friendly and chatted with me while I browsed. I will make a point to visit this store every time I’m in San Diego from now on.

Buyer beware … Wife just bought a bracelet — literally 3 mins later she found the same one next door for ¹⁄₃ the price — but Verde absolutely refused a refund citing a «store policy of «NO REFUNDS ONLY STORE CREDIT». And yet Verde store tag-​line is ‘a store with a conscience’ …

Stopped in here by chance on the way to dinner. Amazing little shop with great unique products. Also earth friendly. The store’s owner is exceptional. He knows everything about the products (material, durability, where it was made, etc). What a great experience. So many beautiful items!

Walked into Verde with my mom and sister. we went crazy! The bags are all unusual, beautiful and affordable! Loren the manager knows everything about all the bags. he was a delight to work with. I bought 8 bags as Christmas gifts! A real find for unusual bags that are FUN!

My new favorite store ! and for good reason… they have items for sale I have never seen anywhere else and I really support the Earth Friendly vibe to it of re-​purposed products. I bought a vintage wooden tennis racket that had been up-​cycled, I guess is the term for it, into a HANGING MIRROR. Absolutely fun, good-​looking and one of a kind just-​right home décor item for my new condo.

What an amazing store! I love all the vintage things, and all the eco friendly upcycled goods. I bought a blue peacock vegan leather handbag that i absolutely LOVE it’s gorgeous! They have some of the cutest bags here… EVER! I’ll definitely return to shop more!

I happened across Verde yesterday evening when I was downtown checking out all the new shops in what was the downtown police headquarters and is now called The Headquarters. The store is tucked away in the NE corner of the complex and you could easily miss it because the signage is not prominent.
The assortment was quite a diverse mix of mostly personal accessories. This ardent environmentalist was very surprised to learn that all the merchandise in the store is recycled, upcycled, repurposed and sustainable. They call it eco-​chic, but I call it a brilliant, cost effective, chic and practical way to save the planet.
The prices are extremely reasonable. I bought a # of Christmas presents, including: two purses made of sustainable grasses by Cambodian women who I’m told make a good living from their enterprise; a beautiful purse made of «vegan leather,» which is indistinguishable from real leather and WAY cheaper; and a very cool iPad bag that is made from repurposed Australian waders. I also bought an indestructible dopkit for myself that’s made from recycled seat belts.
Loren, the manager, was very knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic and helpful, without trying to sell anything.
The Headquarters complex also has memorabilia from the old police station on display and a jail that you can walk through; what could possibly be better? ;-)
I love the unifying green concept of the product assortment and Verde’s execution is flawless. I highly recommend that you visit this store.
