USA Gasoline

This place rips off; it seems that the screen saying what was deposited over $$ thru pump is fake, my tank is 15Gallons to fill. It was empty so I paid $ 40 at $ 2.85/gallon to fill, so it should be almost filled but it’s only half when I got car started. REALLY?!? the math don’t add up. Stay away.

This gas station has frequently gas pumping problems. I want to say that the service is good but all except for a chubby tall white guy with a beard who wears a hat and I saw him on my way home working the night shift (11-​idk on sat). The reason I say this is because this guy is EXTREMLY RACIST and VERY VIOLENT, a couple two wks ago I was pumping my gas and I was waiting and this couple just stops and puts gas in & the pump wasn’t working and so they told the guy it wasn’t working and he immediately got MAD and started cussing and screaming at them and banging stuff and kicking the door and calling someone on the phone and the couple just said «it’s ok it always happens» (which it does) and they asked for their money back and he never gave it back and he just got out and screamed at the couple and wanted to fight with the man while the the woman was recording him and he was just verbally HARRASSING THEM and being VERY RACIST and he kept yelling «you better go before I call immigration so they can get you of here to where you belong» and they said «ok call them «and they also just said «look man we don’t want any chaos we just want our money back» and the gas station guy was still verbally HARRASSING them still and so they just parked aside and called the police, the police came like 30 minutes later and he had already left ;like a coward (running away from his mistakes). I’m extremely disappointed that he still works there, when he clearly needs to be put in jail for what he did to those innocent nice people (the couple told me they will never buy gas from here and are scared of this guy, because of his verbal harassments and discrimination, the couple also told me that the police said it wasn’t his first time he did that) I at least think he should GO TO THERAPY and GET FIRED ASAP.

I very typical USA gas station on a very busy street which offers very competitive prices. The have a small island in the middle for cash paying customers with a couple of outside soda, juice, and water bottle refrigerators, and a couple of shelves, on with chips and the other with gum and candy (
).
The gas station is open for 24 hours, and I heard others have had issues with the pumps here, but they worked fine when I came in to fill up. I did not speak nor see an attendant, given I use the self serve service. Getting out of this gas station can be a bear on peek traffic hours given Rosecrans gets so busy.

This place is dangerous!!! Stay away.
We were pumping gas here and the nozzle popped out of our tank mid fill up and continued spraying gas everywhere. All over our car and my wife who was pumping it. It didn’t shut off even when it hit the ground and sprayed a few gallons before we could grab it and turn it off.
Then it happened again when we tried to put it back in.
The attendant came out and laughed at us and said this was our fault. If u value ur money and your safety stay away from here.

on 16 Aug 2014 at 200 pm I got gas with my credit card. As I was leaving the attendant gave me my card which I had forgotten for 5 minutes while gassing up. Apparently he photographed my card as I started getting fraud alerts from my bank for 700, 500 and 550 and 25 dollars.
The kicker, it was a new card and it’s first use and the first time it had ever been out of my possession.

This is one of the very few places to gas up on Shelter Island. Their prices are reasonable for the area. It is always clean here. Like the rest of Shelter Island it can be a bit cramped. My car seems to know when to come here like the horse that gallops back to its barn.

Usually some of the cheapest gas prices in Pt. Loma. My go-​to gas station while the Arco at Lytton is under construction.

What was once an Arco and then a Thrifty gas station is now a USA gas station.
According to a story on a Los Angeles CBS station website, «a major change is coming to gas stations as BP moves forward with plans to move out of Southern California.
The oil giant is selling its operations in the southwest in order to pay for the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, which devastated the Gulf of Mexico in 2010, «
That means Arco, which is British Petroleum is out, and USA Gasoline, which is Tesoro-​owned is in.
I am not sure about the quality of USA gasoline. I now try and use the good stuff from Shell and Chevron, when I can but I give this USA station 4 Unilocal STARS for being a convenient and affordable option along busy Rosecrans St. Usually you can count on this independent location to have the lowest prices compared to some of the other near by gas stations.
