USA Gasoline

The usual overnight guy is awesome. I see him all the time and usually throw him a wave! Great guy and you can tell he really cares about his customers!
There was night in particular however where the gas hose was leaking and I called over an older gentleman with white hair to show him. My tank was not full even though he insisted! There was wasted gas on the ground that I paid for and he obviously didn’t care. He proceeded to watch as I filled up my tank, which is filled from the back because it’s an older vehicle so I have to hold it. I assumed he thought I was trying to fill it up as much as possible which is false. Three gallons later it finished filling and he said «see its full! It’s not the hose!» And he walked away. It wasn’t my car it was the hose but apparently he didn’t care about it and I didn’t quite care for his attitude. I don’t know who this guy is but he doesn’t know anything about customer service. I’m going to take my business elsewhere from now on.

I used to go here all the time. Price wasn’t bad for the location. However, on a Friday night the cash accepting machine ate a $ 20 bill and didn’t give me credit for it. It was on the graveyard shift, and when I called back to speak to a manager at 11:30am, I was told that they were both gone for the weekend. WTF? DO NOT USE THEIR CASH MACHINES AT THE PUMP!!!

I saw price rise by 50 cents a gallon over a matter of days at this station. I was paying $ 2.97 a gallon when crude was around $ 50 a barrel. Today regular is $ 3.43 a gallon and crude is below $ 50. And their recent price for diesel was $ 3.15 a gallon and it normally was above the price of premium. Talk about price manipulation and none of the ridiculous reasons cannot be supported.

Though this gas station is conveniently located on the corner of Saturn and Palm Ave, I am never returning here again… I used to get gas here all the time, but one day I had a bad experience with one of the workers/​managers. I went in with a small bucket to see if I can fill it up with just a tiny amount of ice, and the worker seemed very upset/​angry just because I wanted a little bit of ice. I told the guy that I come here all the time for gas and yet was still angry and said «I’m not going to lose money (referring to me as I’m getting a free tiny amount of ice) and said that «You can just go to the dollar store right over there, they have bags for a dollar.» Nice gas station, and I had some good experiences here but it takes just one bad customer service incident like this to cause me to never return again.

Always cheap, which is crazy down by the beach and they aren’t ever super busy so it’s a nice in and out experience. Definately reccomend seeking them out when in OB.

Not much to say about this gas station other than that it’s refurbished (for lack of a better description). Now USA Gasoline, but formerly AM/​PM it now has new pumps and no debit fees. Payments can be accepted both indoor and outdoor.
Because it’s on the corner near a lot of stores (in particularly the 99 cent store next door), you see a lot of walkers frequently cutting through to get to the other side. Some are potentially homeless. It’s not crazy out of control, but I personally would only gas up here in the daylight.
It’s on the corner not too far from 5N/​S freeways. Getting out is tricky. One exit requires a right turn only which means you have to drive down a while before being able to make a u-​turn (whomp!). The other exits into 4 lanes at a stoplight and requires that someone lets you in. Not convenient if you need to get over to the left turning lane to access the highways. Le sigh…
But hey, if you need gas, you need gas. Prices here are mid-​range comparing to other stations in the area. If it’s not urgent, feel free to pass it up.
