TSA PreCheck – Terminal 1

I decided to fly out Thanksgiving morning instead of the Wednesday before because I figured there would be less hassle at the airport. The airport was fairly busy but security moved us through the check-​in very smoothly. One of the TSA Agents kept announcing «please make sure you are at the right gate. All I need is a flight number and I will be able to tell you if you are at the right gate.» I love that they attempted to make the security process quick and seamless. He also made sure to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who walked by. While a lot of people may be bitter that they have to be away from their families and work on a holiday I did not get that vibe from anyone. All staff members were pleasant and friendly.
The whole process (bag check in and security) took maybe 15 minutes. My advice to anyone is fly out the morning of Thanksgiving instead of the night before to avoid hassle and a busy airport! Happy Thanksgiving!
