When I feel like immersing myself in gardening supplies, stacks of wood and metal, and pieces and parts of a house, I go to Home Depot or Lowes. When I just need something now, I go to San Carlos Hardware and pick it up. And if I’m not sure what I need, there are a half dozen people working in the store who know their stock, know home repair, and know how to treat a person like a person. It’s not a toy store like the big boxes, but it serves a useful purpose, and it’s a nice place to shop.
