I just had my son’s 2 year birthday party here today. I had never been to this park before and planned it from a different city. Based my decision on the pictures and reviews on Unilocal. The park didn’t disappoint. It has great play structures for kids of all ages and lots of sand to play with as well. All the kids and adults had a great time and people kept commenting on what a great park it was. Just wish there were some tables that had complete shade as the food did not do well sitting under the sun.

Great neighborhood park and one of the largest in the area. It has a full playground for toddlers to older children. Most of the play area is sand based. Great sidewalks for the kids to run around and ride their scooters. Separate area for toddler swings and a toddler climbing structure. — Large bathroom facility — Next to open soccer fields and a tennis court — Plenty of picnic tables for a large gathering — Plenty of parking in lot next to playground

This is an excellent park. Lots of climbing structures and swings. The climbing structures are set in sand so be sure to bring your sand toys.

Nice place to play basketball. Court is large and has smooth asphalt that’s easy on the legs. One end(the south end) has the sun in your face when we play in the afternoons, but it isn’t too bad. There’s shade off to the side. The park is big enough to play soccer or football or baseball in as well. The east field takes care of that. You see a lot of kids and families at all hours of the day in the park, as it’s surrounded by townhouses, houses, and an elementary school. Parking isn’t bad space-wise, but has limited options for shade so expect your car to get hot in the daytime. Access to the park is not very good. Driving, it’s only accessible through one street(Calle Mar de Mariposa) and that’s the only way out if you’re driving.

This is the neighborhood park for Torrey Hills and has been built since 2000 yet mysteriously shows up on few maps. The park has all your standard park needs including a huge soccer field, two huge baseball diamonds, a concession stand, covered pagodas with picnic tables, and a huge walking track. There’s even some wickedly steep steps up hill to the SDG&E access driveway if you want to go hard core. Plenty of parking here. Restrooms and children’s playground with sand base. Smallish basketball court. Not bad for a neighborhood park but not a wower either. Alternate foot access only from Carmel Mountain Drive at Senda Llena Luna via the fire access road or via East Ocean Air Drive near the SDG&E substation driveway. The YMCA scheduled to be put here backed out at the last minute. A solid 3 * performer maintained well by SD standards.
