Colin, the owner, is a really good guy who will do right by you. The chain tire stores play a lot of games, and after a number of years, it really got too much for me. Colin is honest with no games. I agree with the other reviewer that this is a «one of a kind» shop. And you can reach Colin from 7AM to 6PM Monday through Friday. That comes in handy, and of course he’s very hard working.

Excellent place — I got a full set of tires and an alignment that they finished in a few hours. Colin and his staff were friendly and helpful, made great recommendations on my tires and offers free rotations and tire care. I’m glad I went a little farther from my house to visit Top Tier based on their great Unilocal reviews — they absolutely exceeded 5-​star expectations.

This auto shop is one of a kind!
My girlfriend recommended Top Value Tire to me because she had such a great experience here. I came in thinking I needed a brake job, and explained that. The owner, Colin, called me back within an hour to say the brakes were okay and a minor fix could help keep them good for another 2 – 3 years. I couldn’t believe his honesty, as I was fully prepared to pay for the brakes to be changed and any other place would have charged me for that and recommended more!
I was so impressed that I called the next day to ask them to fix my alignment as well. It was raining and I thought it would be a good time to have it looked at. Colin didn’t make me feel bad for not mentioning this from the beginning and having everything done at once. Not only did I feel comfortable but the cost was less than half of what the dealership charges!
I am so impressed with Colin and his team that they are my go-​to shop from now on. Most auto shops take advantage of anyone who seems like they don’t know much about cars, especially women.
To find a businessman that is respectful, professional, polite, and honest is extremely rare these days. I highly recommended this shop!

I called several places to get a quote for an oil change and they’re pricing was totally fair and to be honest the person who answered the phone was really nice and just seemed very friendly. I asked how long it would take and he told me if I could get there soon it would be under an hour, which is perfect for me.
The one thing that I will mention is that while I sat and waited for my car to get done I could hear the way that the head mechanic/​office manager was talking with his staff and I was very impressed. They all spoke very genuinely about their customers and about the conditions of their cars and what they could do to help the customer and it was clear they weren’t in it to just price gouge. I was very impressed with their consideration for one particular woman who didn’t have much money and she wasn’t even in the office but they talked back and forth about what they can do to try to help her out so that she can continue to drive her vehicle.
He also noticed that my tires were very very bald and gave me a great quote for them and didn’t even pressure me at all but very sweetly recommended that I not drive it while it was raining outside. I highly recommend them and I will definitely be going back

$ 35 for an alignment is cheaper than anyone else I called by about $ 35. So if you like paying half for a job well done then go here. My mechanic who questioned this place told me what to look for to see if they did a good job. One of the main things was that they drove it before and after they did the work and didn’t rely on the machine. They did both. Thanks guys!

Made an appointment, was told they had our tire in stock, only to get there and they didn’t even check to see if they had them in stock, had to reschedule since they didn’t order it until I got there for my scheduled appointment. Went elsewhere since that is highly unprofessional.

I like the old fashioned feel of this place. The pace is slow and relaxed, but the guys got my tires on quick. they had a special deal for me when i asked and also had a lot of tires on hand for same day service. They really are, just tires. I liked this place.

I called this morning because I had a flat tire! I informed the guy that it had got flat two times in the past two days.
He suggested that it might be a screw in my wheel. He said to come on in, so they can check my tire. He said the charge to patch it would be $ 15. I couldn’t believe it, I thought once I got there the price would go up (like most body shops).
I got there about 20 min after speaking to them. They greeted me and took my car in. They said it would take about 1hr for my car to be ready. I sat down, took out my book and next thing I know my car was ready! It literally only took 20 min! It was amazing! I then got the bill and it was only $ 15!
I will be coming back whenever I need anything done to my car!

Wow! So I usually call around to get quotes on my tires before I commit. This was my first and ONLY call that needed to be made. The staff was very helpful on the phone. They didn’t gouge me on prices. They are very affordable and efficient. I called at around 930AM and arrived at the shop at 1030AM and they got me in, put on two new tires (mount, balance and rotation) and an oil change and got me out by noon! I am so happy with the services I received! I will be referring anyone who needs mechanical work done here! Thank you guys!

My car was long over due for new brake pads. I did my research and found Top Value Tire. Reading all the great experiences on Unilocal other customers had here made my decision to call and schedule an appointment to get my breaks done.
As I walked in Colin greeted me. Explained the service that would be done on my car and the cost and gave me a time frame on when my car would be done.
Colin and his staff did a great job! Best auto repair shop in San Diego! I’ll be back for any and all of my car needs. And I recommend anyone to come here as well!

Great price on the tires I needed, I called the day before to make sure they had it, and they ordered for the next day. Other place I called (bear tires) didn’t want to sell me 2, only the whole 4 pack, which is bullcrap… But these guys are up for the deal.
Got in and out in less than 30, 2 new tires installed and rotated. Very professional deal, didn’t try to push me anything, but threw in a quote for my rear brakes, that I knew are going to need to be done soon. I’ll most probably be back there for the service.

As with many people, I am very reluctant to drop off my car just to anyone to get it serviced/​repaired. So I searched Unilocal for trustworthy and highly knowledgable shops that I felt comfortable with. I found Top Value Tire and decided to stop by.
I showed up early in the morning to have them take a look at my brakes. I already knew my brakes were shot because they were grinding. Colin checked in my car and told me they would take a look at it to see what needed to be done. The job took about 30mins (like he said). He took me to my car to show me what was going on and what needed to be replaced. He, then, gave me a quote. I told him I would return the next day so they can work on my car.
While I was waiting, I overheard the conversations Colin had with the rest of the staff. He was very direct and straight forward in delegating jobs in order to keep their day on schedule and clients happy. The entire staff is very, very knowledgable! They spoke as if each car they were working on was pretty much telling them what was happening, as in one slight jerk of the wheel or a particular sound of the car meant something and they could pinpoint exactly what needed to be remedied. That’s the best way I can describe it. What I’m trying to say is is that they know their stuff!
I highly recommend them and will likely return whenever my car needs a repair. Thanks, Top Value Tire!
