Established in 1922.

Mecherle opened the business in Bloomington, Illinois, primarily to serve the needs of farmers. Since 1922, State Farm Insurance has branched out to add approx 100 other insurance and financial services products. State Farm has been the #1 insurer of cars and homes across the United States continuously since 1942. State Farm is ranked 32^nd in Fortune 500 in 2008 based on total revenue. State Farm has grown to include 67,000 employees and 17,000 agents servicing 77 million policies in the United States and Canada, and serving more than 1.9 million bank accounts. As of 2005, State Farm is insuring about 40 million vehicles nationwide. Tony Gormican is a long time agent and provides a wealth of knowledge with his wide background.
