Three Coral Dojo is a local martial arts school serving clients in the San Diego area. We are committed to teaching the true martial arts tradition of Okinawa, the birthplace of Karate. All classes are taught by Sensei Dr. RH Gutierrez, scholar, writer, anatomy professor, and martial arts expert. Sensei Gutierrez focuses on teaching self-​defense and building confidence with an emphasis of the importance of the true Karate tradition. Contact the office today to get started! Sensei Gutierrez is such a knowledgeable Karate teacher. He has studied among the masters in Japan and knows how to teach Okinawan karate. Sensei Gutierrez taught karate at Americas Finest Charter School before he opened his own studio. Our students learned so much and miss him a lot.

Dr Gutierrez is a physician who specializes in anatomy. He has studied the body’s mechanics and has related this to the practice of martial arts. Sensei Gutierrez has an appreciation of the nuances of the benefits of martial arts both in terms of physical outcomes as well as in strengthening the character of individuals. He teaches karate on the basis of individual strengths. I highly recommend his class.
