My first time here and I was a little nervous because it was a house and not a business building.
But after meeting her she was very nice and had a nice little room to the right.
She does wonders. she tells you how it is… lets you know the honest truth about your eyebrows being thick or thin and lets you know what she wants to do. she’ll let you decide… if your unsure about how much you want her to take off. shell even do it little at a time so youll be happy. $ 10 bucks is not bad either

Having just moved from the east coast I needed someone desperately to tame them brows. Went back to my old faithful Unilocal to help me out here and found the best I have yet met! Shanaz is the best person to have ever tamed my eyebrows. She was Quick and I barely felt a twinge. My mother has given me more pain while ripping a bandaid off! And is the sweetest little lady! Absolutely loved meeting her and the whole experience was enjoyable if I could say that will definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

To sum it up, Shanaz was wonderful. I have always been extremely hesitant to get my eyebrows done by others but I recently decided to give it a shot with Shanaz (considering she had wonderful reviews) and I was not in the slightest disappointed. She did a perfect job and on top of that took the time to explain to me ways to better my eyebrows and up-​keep them since I had told her I was new to getting my brows done. All of this plus her kind and genuine personality and reasonable pricing are the reasons why I will be back for regular appointments with her. Thank you Shanaz!

First of all, know that I don’t love the whole threading/​waxing process but now that I’m with Shenaaz, I’m changing my tune. She took so much care with me the first time I went to her for a wax and made me feel as comfortable as possible. She was so kind and had patience which was exactly what I needed. I like being in a home environment for such personal care. I am and will continue to be a long time costumer of hers.

I had not had my eyebrows done for a while, almost 2 years because I felt I had over plucked them. She did an amazing job giving me shape and keeping the thickness. Really great job!

Shanaz is the real deal.
I was super hesitant going to someone’s house, but really, it’s smack dab in the middle of the suburbs of Rancho PQ, so you can’t be much safer. Her office is just to the right as you enter her front door. Shanaz is professional and meticulous. She takes her time and makes you feel completely at ease. (Oh, and she doesn’t own any pets, so those of you with allergies, rest easy)
I paid $ 17 for brows and lip. That is a bargain! The best thing about Shanaz is consistency. Like my fellow Unilocalers, I’ve been to just about every eyebrow place out there, the latest being Grace Threading. They’re good, but not consistent as you may get someone different every time. Not with Shanaz. It’s just her, and you’ll be glad it is. She did a fantastic job cleaning up my brows, and keeping my natural arch, just as I asked.

My cousin recommended Shanaz and never been to anyone else to thread my brows! She is amazing at what she does and I highly recommend going to her to get any type of threading done!

Shanaz is the best at threading in San Diego, hands down. I started going to her about a year ago and loved her work, but a new threading place opened and I liked the convenience of being able to stop by without an appointment. That was a huge mistake, and I’m back to Shanaz for good! She takes her time in ensuring your eyebrows are even and symmetrical, and that YOU like the way they look. I recommend all my friends and family go to Shanaz for her magical work with thread!

I adore Shanaz; what a sweet woman. She communicates what she thinks would suit my face, but is open to suggestions. I like that she stops midway through my brow threading and shows me a mirror so I can give more directions, and there are no surprises. I also appreciate that she is always on time – I’m never waiting for her to finish up another appointment. I’m a regular here and will be as long as I’m in the area.

Honestly I love Shanaz. I live all the way in San Jose, CA and come to San Diego very often and She is the ONLY one I let touch and do my eyebrows, ever. Anywhere! My eyebrows are crazy when they grow out and are crazy to work with. But she cleans them up really good and she is a master at her work!

Shanaz is the threading and waxing queen! I have never had more thorough brazillian in my life. Not only does she make you feel SO comfortable, but she makes her own organic wax and makes sure to thread the area once she is done so there is literally zero hairs or stubs in sight. As far as eyebrows go, she creates the most beautiful shapes that are natural (not too thin) and the perfect arch. As if it couldn’t get any better, she is the sweetest, funniest, kindest lady and I enjoy all the time spent on her table!!! Her prices are incredible too– eyebrow threading AND a brazillian wax for 40 bucks total! Yes please

If your kid is contemplating on getting her eyebrows done, take her to Shanaz instead of your child making a mistake by messing with them herself behind your back. Please it’s a great mother-​daughter experience, beginning the evolution from child to little woman.
Glad my daughter opened up to me about her insecurities, that she wants her eyebrows cleaned up so I took her to Shanaz and Shanaz was so awesome at comforting my daughter and giving her a lesson on just cleaning up the eyebrows and keeping her natural arch. She definitely gave my daughter a standard on how her eyebrows should be and I am so glad My daughter heard it from a professional!
My daughter only wants Shanaz to do her eyebrows and upper lip. After, my daughter had a stronger sense of confidence about her looks and I’m so pleased because it’s all natural and no chemicals used.

I’ve been going to Shanaz for awhile now and she is wonderful. She works out of her home, which actually ends up being perfect, because you don’t feel like you’re just going through an assembly line. She has a private room set up and the atmosphere is really calming. She takes her time and is very careful. There’s a reason she has so many 5-​star reviews; she knows what she’s doing and does it very, very well.
I would definitely recommend going to Shanaz! Her prices are also very affordable. I’ve tried a lot of threading places and I know I’ve found the person I’m going to stick with.

I had to grow my brows out for months because the last person I went to made them so thin. Sometimes the problem with going to bigger named places is you get a different person doing your brows almost every time (no matter how many times you request for the same person).
I love that I know what to expect with Shanaz. She explains the process and takes her time. She’s very precise! She offers other threading services too (such as upper lip). Note — you have to call for directions, she works out of her home so her address isn’t on Unilocal.

I’ve been looking for a threading place since I moved here and I’m so glad that I saw Shanaz on Unilocal!I couldn’t agree with the other reviewers more; Shanaz is great at what she does. I did the full-​face threading and I have to say that this is by far the best threading I’ve ever received. She’s so nice, professional, and meticulous. Shanaz is the best!!!
My friend and I decided to get our eyebrows threaded a few months ago, so we’ve been letting our eyebrows get gross and nasty. We decided to get them threaded this week (cough work Christmas parties cough) and settled on trying with Shanaz.
Well, we found out pretty quick WHY Shanaz has ⁵⁄₅ stars.
Even though we were calling in short notice, Shanaz was ready to take us the same day — at whatever time WE were available. Whaaaaaaaaaat?! We decided to go a bit after work to avoid traffic and actually ended up at her location 30min early. Oops. Well, she didn’t care that we had arrived early and was more than happy to take us in. Woohoo!
It was our first time threading so she was very helpful in explaining the method, what to look for, and ways to make our brows the best that they can possibly be for our face shapes. It was incredibly informative and I loved every second of it. Shanaz is such a sweet and kind woman.
I’ll be honest: The threading hurt and I cried. LOL!
It wasn’t that much of a pain on my left brow (where I tweeze often), but it was pretty painful for my right brow (where I am lazier with tweezing because I just use my bangs to hide them ahem). She was very pleasant throughout all of it though and distracted me with conversations about movies I’d seen recently, what I was interested in seeing, movies SHE wanted to see, actors SHE loved — it was really light-​hearted and I quickly realized how sweet and silly she is!
The threading didn’t take that long to do (maybe 30min for both of us) and her price is ridiculously affordable. I’m just sad I didn’t bring more spare cash to tip her!!! After she finished, my brows looked SO GOOD! I got them done on Thursday and filling them in has been a breeze… my brows are on fleek now, yo.
I’ll definitely be coming back again!

What a sweetheart !
After having a traumatic experience from a previous threading place, I was hesitant to try a new one. Low and behold, I discovered Shanaz (Thank you Unilocal !)
I had no clue her business was done at her home and when she informed me of it, I was a bit surprised. There were so many rave reviews (ALL 5 STARS) and they were legitimate customers. I like to do my research first and after doing so I contacted Shanaz via phone to make an appt.
Wow ! It was quick and easy ! She was able to see me the same day even though it was so last minute. She was very helpful and friendly on the phone. She explained that her address is not found via Unilocal since it’s at her private residence, but she was able to provide me excellent directions. The best part is she lives so close to me and it’s super convenient.
Once you enter her home you really feel welcome ! She is a sweet lady and you can tell she enjoys what she does. I immediately felt comfortable as if she was like family. I loved that. She has a room up front strictly for threading and it’s very inviting and professionally set-​up. Nothing shady here folks. She explained the process to me and asked me questions making sure I achieve the look I wanted. I can tell she really wanted to do a good job to make me happy and wasn’t rushing to get my threading done. I appreciated that. You don’t get that often at other threading places. I didn’t feel like a number. I felt like family ! :)
I have very sensitive skin, but I didn’t get a bad reaction from her threading, which I did last time from another threading store. Shanaz knew about my traumatic experience and assured me everything would be okay and that definitely calmed my nerves.
She was very sanitary and professional. She took the time to ask me in between threading if I was fine with the shape of my eyebrows and if I was feeling okay. It was painless and very relaxing ! I also got my forehead and upper/​lower lips threaded and was pleased with the outcome.
Overall, 5 STARS !!! She truly is the best at threading that I have come across and will continue to go to her. At the end of the session, she applied aloe vera to my skin and I was done. It was such a painless and pleasant experience !!!
Almost forgot to pay since we ended up chit-​chatting and hugging goodbye as if she was my cool aunt Shanaz. Hehe. She charges pretty reasonable too !! Totally worth it in my opinion ! I can’t wait to go back ! I’m no longer traumatized from threading ! Thanks Shanaz !!!
