History

Established in 1983.

The Unity Center is San Diego’s largest New Thought community which has thrived under the visionary leadership of its founding minister, Wendy Craig-​Purcell.

Celebrating a history of excellence spanning more than two decades with nearly 1500 members. We provide a broad range of spiritually based programs & services including: dynamic Sunday Services feat. excellent music & positive, practical, progressive messages, a wide variety of classes & workshops for those just beginning their spiritual quest as well as those who have been studying for years, an outstanding youth ministry for toddlers through teens, a great bookstore & a loving prayer ministry. The Unity Center is an Inclusive Spiritual Community. We understand those who consider themselves spiritual more than religious & our teachings help people transform their lives in dramatic ways. We offer a safe & sacred place to connect with a deep sense of purpose and awaken personally as we help in the healing & betterment of our world.

Rev. Wendy Craig– P.

Manager

Wendy Craig-​Purcell is Founding and Senior Minister and CEO of The Unity Center, a 1500-​member spiritual community located in San Diego, California. The Unity Center, formerly known as Church of Today, celebrated its 25-​year anniversary in May 2008. Wendy is a graduate of the Unity School of Christianity, Unity Village, Missouri. She was ordained in 1980, one of the youngest to ever be ordained in Unity.
