Our students represent a wide range of ages, backgrounds and careers. We are a Team Pedro Sauer affiliate school, and 1^st Degree Gracie Jiu-​Jitsu Black Belt Robert Lovi is the head instructor.

We care about each student and emphasize the growth of mind, body and spirit. Jiu-​Jitsu is a holistic activity that involves strategy, timing, technique, drills, sparring and conditioning.

History

Established in 2008.

In 2012, Pedro Sauer 1^st Degree blackbelt Robert Lovi partnered with world champion Jiu-​JItsu legend, Eduardo «Telles» Moreira, his close friend & training partner. This dream team,” as their students call it, brings a new flavor and refreshing approach to Jiu-​Jitsu in San Diego.

Telles is recognized as an innovator in progressive Jiu-​Jitsu, and earned his black belt among the legendary Fabio Gurgel class in Sao Paulo that includes Marcelo Garcia, Demian Maia, Fernando Terere, Rodrigo «Comprido» Medeiros, Leo Vieira and others.

As the co-​founder of TT Jiu-​Jitsu, Telles and partner Terere (arguably one of the best competitors in history) they turned out world class students including Cobrinha, Andre Galvao and Ramon Lemos.

A world class Jiu-​Jitsu practitior, Lovi is considered by many to be one of the great instructors & coaches of the sport and art. His Jiu-​Jitsu is highly technical and he has the ability to visually convey concepts to his students.

Robert Lovi is a 1^st Degree Black Belt under 7^th degree Red/​Black Belt Pedro Sauer. He is considered a top level practitioner and trainer; and is regularly invited to give seminars to schools around the world. Lovi has trained with world champions including Jacare, Terere, Jamalao, Comprido, Galvao, Leo & Ricardo Vieira, Costa, Ratinho, Reis, Werdum, Medieros, Telles, and many others.

Robert lives and breathes Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu, and his students feel the positive energy and commitment to their advancement. Lovi considers Jiu-​Jitsu a gift that has changed his life, and he enjoys sharing that gift with others.

As an instructor, Lovi has a unique way of explaining techniques; he addresses them from a high level and then goes into the fine details.

Robert promotes technique over strength. Standing at only 5’8″ and 150 pounds, he handles much larger and stronger opponents with ease.
