The Point at Ingraham is a «high-end, pedestrian friendly, mixed-use urban design. There are 21 apartments and 2,268 square feet of ground floor retail space.» This is according to the property’s website. I remember when that corner used to house a gas station! But alas, «URBANINFILL» has arrived and a posh new, flashy development has literally been SQUEEZED into the lot. This is becoming a bad habit in the beach areas, although some would claim that it is just making good usage of an existing space. Not I. These over-sized behemoths are totally out of scale to the Crown Point area neighborhood of single family homes, apartments and small businesses. Yes, The Point at Ingraham looks good. It appears to appeal to a yuppie crowd of techies. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but it sticks out like a sore thumb in the low key PB. Studios here start at $ 1300 /month. A one bedroom unit will set you back $ 1600 /month and the two bedroom apartments cost $ 2300 /month. I do applaud having the Promiscuous Fork eatery in the retail space below The Point. That is one awesome restaurant. But this«urban living» thing belongs better in Hillcrest or North Park where all the skinny jeans-wearing hipsters can look cool in their high end apartments. 3 UnilocalSTARS for The Point at Ingraham.
