I had a massage appointment this noon with Lynn I believe. A pinched nerve in my back last 10 days has been killing me. Ice/​heat. Popping ibuprofen like TicTac’s was not helping. This girl went to work and I cannot describe the relief of pain since having this massage! Thank you!

I’ve come here quite a bit for my massages and I have been pleased every time. The environment is clean and the receptionists are always so nice, helpful. There is always convenient day and times for appointment setting. I myself am infamous for calling for same day appointments and have always gotten one here. So far I’ve done the Swedish, deep tissue and back on track. I have yet to find a place with the same quality of service. Also, in the little complex it is in there is a little of everything you would need or want except a hardware store, lol.

I had to write another update to share how incredible Tamara is. She and Mija are my absolute favorite therapists. I learned the hard way that it pays to not see anyone else (that’s for me — you do you). Tamara is simply amazing. She takes the time to talk to you before getting started, finding out what’s going on with your body and what you’re looking for in your massage. She remembered from several months before that I’m a runner with sore legs. When she asked how I was feeling, I shared that I’m having painful shin splints and a sore Achilles heel. During my massage, she paid special attention to those areas and she incorporated delightful aromatherapy scents. After, she talked to me about magnesium and potassium — things she thought might help me. I didn’t leave before booking my next appointment with her. She’s the best!

Service and Staff: as you walk into the doors. Your senses are awaken to another land. The scent in the air is heavenly and the customer service is very friendly always greeting you with a smile. I love the massage menu they provide,
Easy and simple to read. They treat you like royalty here and I feel taken care of.
Atmosphere: clean, organized and an oasis as if you are in Thailand getting a massage.
Prices: affordable and if you purchase their yearly package there is a significant savings.

I came here for a massage after I got in a gender bender and it was really good. Parking isn’t fun but the guy (I forget his name) spent extra time on the part of my back that was hurting. I can’t afford massages all the time but when I can, I would definitely come back here again.

My boyfriend surprised me with a certificate here for a one hour massage and one hour facial. I had a great first time!
Th Knot Stop is located next to Ralphs and Trader Joe’s and customer parking is up to two hours, but according to the front desk at The Knot Stop, their customers get 3. After you check-​in, a worker will have you fill out a worksheet to discuss medical concerns, areas of the body that are most tense and the degree of pressure you prefer. You wait in the lounge with access to water and tea until your therapist comes out to get you.
My massage therapist was Gary, and he was very friendly and determined to make sure I felt comfortable! He talked everything over with me, and in the end, I got a great massage. The only reason I docked off a star is because we started late, around 9:15am when my appointment was at 9am (I was early too), and since I was scheduled for a facial after, my massage lasted until 10am. I really wish I could I have gotten the full hour because I felt like certain body parts were a little rushed. Still, Gary was very accommodating and did a wonderful job!
Karen did my facial, and she was amazing!!! She explained all the products she used, and her hands are magic because she gave me the world’s best neck massage. I came out with my skin feeling refreshed and my neck feeling loose and relaxed. She also recommended skin regimens and various products at the end of my session.
The customer service is fantastic here. They make you feel comfortable, make sure you stay hydrated, and they’re very open about feedback so don’t be afraid to ask for any adjustments. Overall I would definitely come back!

They have some amazing masseuses, and some that are decent. I’ve had the best massage and I always leave here with stress melted off and knots smoothed out. I won’t tell you who my favorite is because I don’t wan you stealing them: P

I had the Massage & Facial package from Danielle (2 hours total but I didn’t have to leave the room as Danielle does both). She is very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. I had a very aggressive massage once so I asked her to start super gentle and she did. Later, I asked for more pressure and that was the perfect amount. Overall, the location is very relaxing (which is shocking considering it’s in the Ralph’s parking lot which, I’m pretty sure, is one of the craziest places on the planet) and the store out front has lots of great trinkets!

This place is Amazing!!! I love the therapists here! I always come out of Knot Stop feeling very relaxed. I’ve seen many different massage therapists and would definitely recommend them.

We go to The Knot stop on a monthly basis and for the past five months I’ve been going to see Tamara… Every time I go it gets better and better and I feel like my body has changed each time. She is the best massage therapist I have never gone too.

I am really, really, really picky about massages, my absolute favorite indulgence in life (even more than pizza) so I must admit, I had low expectations for The Knot Stop. Why? I don’t know. I should really be more positive. Anyway, no sooner had my boss gifted me a gift certificate for a one-​hour relaxation massage for Christmas than I was sitting in the lovely waiting area, waiting for my therapist to come get me. My one gripe with The Knot Stop is this waiting area looks and feels like a place to be quiet and relax, yet another waiting customer was allowed to yap away in full volume on her cell phone as I was leaning back with my cup of tea in hand and my eyes closed. A Knot Stop employee walked through the area and shot her a look, yet didn’t say anything to ask her to take her call outside.
A few minutes after my scheduled appointment time, my therapist, Mija, came for me and took me to the room. She then proceeded to give me the absolute best massage I’ve ever had in my life. Truly, it was a life-​changing, heavenly experience. I might even say it was among the best 60 minutes of my life.

The Knot Stop can be hit or miss. I would give Knot Stop 3.5 stars, but since half stars aren’t allowed, and the price at Knot Stop can’t be beat for this area, I’ll just round up. I’ve been here a handful of times, and have had decent massages, and «just okay» massages… Nothing super impressive, but great for last-​minute massage «emergencies,» and the price is right. It certainly beats Massage Envy and it’s a no frills place, although they do have a little waiting area with some delicious tea, so maybe that counts as a «frill.» I’ll probably return but most likely just for last minute bookings and/​or when my favorite place is out of reach (due to price or simply time constraints).

Very nice deep tissue massage with Christie today followed by facial. Super relaxed with a nice cup of herbal tea after. Special treat for my sister and myself. Feeling like a new woman and ready for the rest of a beautiful day.

I went in for my first time today! Front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming! My massage was done by Mikey! He had a great personality and gave me an amazing runners massage! After running 13.1 miles, my legs were incredibly sore, but he found every knot and made me relax! My recovery will be speedy! Thank you!

The only place my boyfriend and I will go for our massages. Masseuses are all experienced and even offer useful advise afterward to prevent or help certain situations in the future. All staff are super super friendly and accommodating. Love this place!

All 5 of my stars are for Karen! Although I love the front desk staff, and the waiting room with the coconut tea and cucumber water. I wish I had more stars! lol! I was competing for a fitness competition, and came in to see her regularly to fix all my knots, tight spots and strains. If it wasn’t for her, I don’t even think I would have been able to push thru certain points with my training. She understands and listens to the body, she doesn’t just go thru the motions. As most of you know, achieving fitness goals lies much in the hands of diet as well as RECOVERY. Getting a massage by her is a real treat, and you leave feeling exactly how you should feel after a massage… rejuvenated. I felt like I’d come in all broken and fatigued and leave ready for the next killer training sessions. Miracle hands. She’s by far my absolute fav!

A couple of weeks ago I was in need of a great massage and evening of relaxation. A few friends had recommended The Knot Stop, and I was surprised and pleased that they were able to see me on a Saturday night. My therapist, Tamara, was amazing! She had such a calming presence, and really took the time to listen to my needs and problem areas. She spent the entire hour working out all the soreness and tension in my back, and combined therapies in a way that no other therapist has done for me in the past. She seems to genuinely love her work — you can feel it in her hands! She is very intuitive when it comes to pressure and areas to avoid. I was in heaven at the end of the hour, and wished I had booked a 90 minute massage. That being said, I will definitely be booking another appointment with her soon!

I just want to let everyone know that I am so thankful for the Knot Stop. I work out all the time, but just did the Spartan Race in Temecula and was so sore I could barely move. I was told about the Knot Stop by one of the trainers at Orange Theory. She told me they were miracle workers on sore muscles. My trainer was right, after the massage I could move my neck and back freely. I feel amazing and I will definitely be a loyal Knot Stop customer!

I looked up this place on Unilocal and expected to come out feeling fresh and relaxed. However, my experience was horrible. The masseuse I got was sick. She kept sneezing and wiping her nose while massaging me. She was really nice but she shouldn’t have come to work when she’s sick! I got a cold because of her that weekend. But at least I got my refund!

Since moving to San Diego four years ago, the Knot Stop has becoming my go to spot for my massage needs. While I would love to join their monthly membership to have a massage on a more regular basis, it still remains more of a luxury for me compared to budgeting for about $ 75/​month with the tip. What I do appreciate about the Knot Stop is that the staff are always extremely professional from helping to find an appointment time that will work for my needs to asking about trouble spots and pressure level at the beginning of the massage. As I do not have a regular masseur, I have found a high level of consistency in the massages. Generally, I recommend a firm Swedish massage because it helps to work deep into the tissue providing for necessary release while still allowing for some level of relaxation. As I workout regularly, massages for me are more about helping the muscles rather than pampering with pure relaxation. Nonetheless, whatever your needs, the Knot Stop has you covered. Also, I recommend signing up on their email list as they do provide discounts from time to time. My husband and I took full advantage of this discount to get a couple’s massage before our wedding! Overall, the Knot Stop is an establishment where your money is well spent. Parking in the area is challenging as it is located in the Hillcrest Shopping Plaza near Ralph’s and Trader Joe’s, so make sure to arrive early!

The worst massage ever. I used to come here before and the massages were great. Won’t go back. I walked out on the massage it was that bad.

I was in need of a good massage so one of my friends that has a membership here recommended his fave masseur. Luckily she had availability so I was able to book with her sooner rather than later.
The Knot Stop is in the same complex as Ralphs/​Trader Joes, and many other businesses, so the parking lot can be crowded at times. Upon arriving, there were a couple of people at the front desk to check you in. The waiting room is nice and has mint water and also hot tea as well to drink.
My massage with Mija was awesome! There were parts on my back/​shoulder area that I didn’t know were tight until she started working on those areas. Some of the session requires feedback on pressure applied to spots until the muscles released. Her pressure was spot on. She also combined circulatory work as well and demonstrated a different technique (forgot the name) that she does. The combination of everything was great. I felt as if she knew what my body needed and she was able to work on it. She made several recommemdations of what I can do in my daily life that included more stretching to loosen tightness.
Mija was exactly what I needed!

I was dubious when I first walked up to this place, and wondered how a strip mall salon could help me, but I was blown away as soon as I walked in. I had never been here before, and was impressed by the staff that immediately greeted me and got me checked in. I was led to a luxurious relaxation room to fill out new patient paperwork and was given some yummy tea to sip before being led back for a DELICIOUS one-​hour massage by Danielle. I felt amazing when I was done despite a rigorous chiro adjustment and having done a 5k a few hours beforehand. Highly recommended!

Let me start this by saying that I have been having an extremely difficult time with my body lately, especially my joints.
I’ve been going to the doctor repeatedly, dealing with my nightmare of an insurance company, had x-​rays, been put on medications that I can’t even function on all because my joints hurt unbelievably.
Until yesterday!
I went in to use a gift certificate a friend gave me for my birthday for a deep tissue massage and was paired up with Dani. I’ve had massages in the past, so I wasn’t expecting any miracles, just wanted to relax.
I explained my trouble, being told I have fibromyalgia and tendonitis in both my wrists. When I went in, I could only tip my left wrist back by about 20 degrees, rather than a full 90.
She was probably the strongest masseuse I’ve ever had and extremely good at finding the right pressure for me, also using a wonderful minty oil that relaxed my muscles even further.
After she spent a good amount of time on my shoulders, forearms and wrists, the massage went as normal, ended, I got up and had some of their tea in their lounge and I went to leave, grabbing the door handle with my left hand carelessly, which usually would have sent sharp pain up to my elbow and numbness into my outer fingers… except it didn’t happen.
I was able to open the door without any pain at all! I got in my car and took it easy, on my wrist, still not doing anything much with it, thinking it might be temporary.
Well it’s the next day and there is NO MORE PAIN in my hands, wrists, arms, or shoulders! As a web developer, my hands are my tools and this is the first time in months that I’ve been able to work without shooting pain up my arms in several years.
Seriously, this is one place you’d got to try and make sure you book with Dani!
Also, the prices are pretty fantastic for the quality of massage you’re getting, so bonus points!

I love knot stop! I don’t have any particular favorite masseuse, I’ve never had a bad experience with any of them.
The only reason I don’t rate knot stop with 5 stars is because my massages are never the full 90 min that I purchase. I’m always brought back to the massage room at my exact appointment time, but by the time I change and the massage starts, it’s already 15 – 20 min past my apt time. So say my apt is at 1 pm. My massage actually ends up getting started at 1:17 ish and still ends at 2:30 but it actually should end at 2:47 since I booked a 90 min. Frustrating. I really hope they find a way this can be fixed and prevented!
Other than that… It’s my favorite place to get a deep tissue :)

I bookmarked this location to remember to review. but now too much time has passed and I cannot for the life of me recall the masseuse I had assigned to me.
Thanks to him I fell madly in love with this location, and I will absolutely be returning. At first, I didn’t think he could do much more than a standard squish-​squish massage. but this fella kneaded the knots out of me, creamed me like butter (get your mind out of the gutter), and left me stumbling happy drunk out of there. most important: pain free.
It’s a cute location (aim for Corepower/​Starbucks in the plaza– I daymn near walked the inside and outside parameter of the lot looking for the place). Nice little quiet room with tea and pretty décor. and small rooms on either side of the business. Everyone was very kind — ooh, I especially recall the front desk guy being gorgeously sexy on the phone (and extremely polite to the frantic Asian girl who got lost in a parking lot).
As you can guess I loved my massage. He was a shorter, South American/​Mexican/​Spanish gentleman, with a nice smile and gentle aura… but deliciously strong hands that smooshed the hours in front of the computer, the crappy chair at work, and hours behind the wheel out of me. I honestly think I was drooling during the massage. By the time I lifted my head out of the massage donut, I swear I had snot running down my face from being that relaxed.
Prices were reasonable and they have package deals. Tons of parking and just great customer service. Definitely recommend coming by if you need some TLC to your aching back/​neck. I will be returning the next time I need to act a fool at the hands of a man.
