Dr Britney is the best and I purposely go when she works because she never leaves me sore and actually remembers my name when I walk in. She’s personable, gentle, and overall a great person.

I normally go to the joint on Rosecrans. On Sunday’s they are closed. So I went to the Mission Valley facility. I have to rave about Dr. Britney!!!
She got movement in my thoracic and lumbar area that other chiropractors could not. It’s a matter of technique and many modern chiropractors lack proper technique. The minute she had me on my side and made sure my movement was limited then proceeded with the adjustment, I felt she really understands how to do a proper technique .
Many chiropractors these days just let the body go limp and floppy and wonder why they can’t get an adjustment. The adjustment comes at the end when the body is in a taut position.
Dr. Britney is an execellent chiropractor and I hope she stays around at the joint. Finding a good chiropractor can be a hit or miss.
Update 5−19−16. Dr Brittney still rocks!!! The other Chiro is pissing me off. 7 people been waiting in the waiting room for over half hour. New patient or not if he’s going to take this long then he needs to have his own practice. Not be at the joint. As a client I joined because I don’t like long waits like at most Chiro office it’s in and out! This is the joint buddy! no frills chiropractic not a class for one client! 7 ppl waiting for over half hour is unacceptable. People are still coming in the lobby is filling up! keeping the 5 stars because of Dr. Brittney!

Comfy leather seating when I walked in. Helped myself to some chocolate. Can’t turn down chocolate! Karina the receptionist was a doll to work with. It’s $ 19 for first visit, consultation and adjustment. They have affordable packages and options. I’ve been to many chiropractors and the plus side to the Joint is you can go to any of their offices across the US. I travel a lot and this would work well when I’m in a different state. Another plus is No Appointments Necessary. Score!
My consultation was informative. I learned more helpful tips to help my concerns. I liked the gentle approach of my adjustment. Also Dr. Aj is hot and professional. If you need an adjustment and need a central SD location. The Joint is a good choice.

Hurt my neck bad in grappling and needed an adjustment. Couldn’t turn my head all day, got off work and went straight here, got there at 6:40pm and was promptly told no new customers after 6:30pm, even though I told them my neck was hurting. I even asked if they knew of anywhere else that would be open that could help my neck. Nope.
The girl at the desk didn’t care. She did care enough to tell me they open again in the morning.
Thanks for turning away someone in pain.

I couldn’t ask for more than what The Joint has provided me. For the amount that I am spending and be able to get an adjustment per week, is incredible. I used to have a different chiropractor that I would see regularly and for the cost 2 adjustments from a chiropractor (with insurance) I am paying the same amount for 4 adjustments (not needing insurance). You are not just paying for quantity, you are paying for quality as well. All of the chiropractors at The Joint are awesome, friendly, and remember what we talked about the last time I was in. Not to mention the front desk staff is amazing, friendly, and incredibly helpful.

Dr. Britany was very helpful and caring towards my two young daughters when I brought them in today. They are both sick with ear infections and coughs and I knew they could benefit from some help with some drainage. My youngest toddler was running amuck as I was trying to console my eldest 3 year old and the receptionist was kind enough to go above and beyond and hold her so that I could comfort the big sis as she was scared. Thanks for making our first visit so amazing and for treating us so well. It was much appreciated!

I love Dr. Britney, she just started and I loved how she adjusted me, I am 7 months pregnant and she specializes in pregnant women and pediatrics, when I first saw her I thought she’s not going to have enough strength, but don’t let her size or gender fool you, she’s small but tough and will give a ju jitzu type of adjustment lol! Prior to her I was getting adjusted by Dr. AJ he is also very very good! Overall I am happy about coming here and would recommend anyone to come here, everyone from the front staff to the Dr’s, everyone is amazing, and it just become even better now that Dr. Britney joined the team :)

I have always had an amazing experience and treatment here! They are sweet, professional and so caring. Even when they are so busy and I’m sure the docs are tired, they act like you are the only one there and will treat you for as many body parts as you need, they never rush you and always listen and greet you w/​a smile and warmth. It’s clean and welcoming and everyone is just sooo friendly. I love going here and very very highly recommend them.

Love the Joint! This place is great. Dr. Keith is my favorite. I have been adjusted by nearly all the Dr.‘s there, and they’re all friendly, helpful, informative, and skilled. Dr. AJ has given me lots of tips on body mechanics and exercises to help my back.
I have been coming now for over a year with the membership at $ 49/​month. What a deal! Sure, you may not see the same person each time, or have a «relationship» with your Dr. BUT– you can choose to come on the days your person works and get to know them a bit, and if you get a new Dr. just tell them about your body and what’s going on. Simple.
I am a full time massage therapist and I hurt my back badly last winter. I was a stiff, spasmy mess, and suffered major mobility issues, sciatica and could barely work for some time. I felt that regular chiro adjustments were necessary to «keep it moving» even though some days there was no way I was letting anyone touch me. That’s another reason the flexibility of doing walk-​ins was great as I could just stop by when I was feeling good/​loose and mobile enough to be mobilized. My previous chiro place was wonderful, but offered no special rate or discount for coming weekly, and at $ 35 a visit– I needed to find a more affordable option. All these reasons brought me here and i am glad they did. I recommend the Joint to all my clients as it is a wonderful compliment to massage therapy, and the two combined with exercise and stretching/​yoga should be a part of everyone’s self-​care régime! First time at the Mission Valley location. Asked for Dr. AJ after reading Unilocal reviews. Got my back, neck, and hip popping. Also told me what was wrong; my right hip was higher. And also taught me some stretches to do in between my stretches.

I have been to this location numerous times. Each time with a different Doctor. That happens with corporate owned franchises and I expect it. It means that there isn’t a lot of consistency. I know that one Dr. may get everything but that spot, and the next will get that spot really well, but not everything else. I know that going in, so I am happy with the outcome. This may sound like a bad review, but it isnt. for my needs it has worked out great. I go to three location, Escondido near work, San Marcos near home, and Mission Valley near friends on weekends.
If you are a first timer at the Joint, let me give you a few tips:
1. This is the drive thru of chiropractic care. If you want massage, therapy tables, insurance billing and special balms, look for someone like Dr. Joe Hernandez in San Marcos. He was wonderful for when I was first injured and had insurance years ago. Now that I am on maintenance, I don’t need all that.
2. If you have been seeing a chiropractor for years, or only go in to get your maintenance quickies, than this is the place!
3. The joint is a corporate owned franchise and they have locations everywhere. I pay $ 59/​month and receive 4 visits free. If I need an extra, it is only $ 16.
4. They always have first time specials and different membership options.
5. Be specific about your needs. They put it in the computer and no matter who you see, they all do the same routine. In and out in 5 minutes. Perfect for professionals or mom’s on the go.
6. There are no appointments. Walk-​ins only and first come first serve. Some locations get busy at lunchtime, so always ask how long they expect the wait to be.

I went in here because I saw the add for $ 19 and they wanted to charge me $ 60. I asked the girl at the desk all I want is the $ 19 and she’s like sorry it’s $ 60. Ok nothing I hate more then false advertisement. I guess I have to take my business elsewhere!!!

My girlfriend went in here for her back pain and it did not help her at all. They told her it was $ 60 for four sessions. We did not even use all four sessions. So we paid the $ 60. Then the next month they took another $ 60 dollars, we called and there like call back later when the managers here so we did. Then there like send us an email of your bank statement so we did then a few weeks pasted and we had to call them back to see what’s taking so long The manager said its been to long so we can’t give you a refund !!! Wow Never agian!!!

I hurt my ankle which led to my knee then my back. .all from high heel boots. I wanted to nip this in the bud before it got worse so I decided to give The Joint a try.
When I arrived it was standing room only however the receptionist said they could see me. She handed me paperwork which was rather lengthy however it didn’t take long to complete.
Since I didn’t have an appointment I figured it would take at least 30 minutes before I would be seen. Image my surprise when the doctor called me within minutes after I turned in my paperwork.
We went to the therapy area which had two tables and two doctors. We talked about history as well as what brought me in today. We did a short evaluation and the adjustment immediately after.
What can I say I feel good and even better I was able to get a chiropractic adjustment on a Sunday for $ 19.

Dr. AJ is fantastic! He actually listens and cares. A few of the other doctors could care less and get me in and out in about 3 minutes. The wait can be really long with only one poor doctor there rushing through everyone. This location seems busy each time I go in. I just go to see Dr. AJ; I recommend him!

I went in with a messed up low back/​hip on a Sunday and paid $ 19 for my adjustment. An older guy worked with me and he was very nice, but he didn’t help my issue. The adjustment was nice, he got quite a few pops throughout. He ended up making my shoulder sore for two days from the adjustment but it’s common for some people.
I kept complaining that the issue was with my hip. And he only did the standard adjustment. I was really disappointed that he didn’t try to address the problem, but the very low cost was worth the standard adjustment anyway.
Their normal adjustments are about $ 30 each which is totally reasonable. I may go back.

I just saw Dr. Matt. I feel great! I’ve gone to other locations but his technique is different and I think works best for me I have a few injuries and I walked out of there with no pain or discomfort. I’m even sitting and standing right. I definitely want to come back here.

In my previous review I praised the «no appointment needed» and «speedy walk in» service with your keychain check in. There’s usually only one doctor ever here working at once. Why?
New patients that are being seen take a longer time to access and be taken care of. Then you have a lobby full of regular patients backed up waiting and listening to everything you and your new patients are discussing. That doesn’t seem right to me.
Get more than one doctor to share the work load.

I love this place. Despite almost a decade of putting up with neck and low back pain (from two car accidents and a motorcycle accident), I have hesitated on dishing out $$$ for a chiropractor. I’m sure having The Joint as my first chiropractic experience spoiled me due to their low prices and efficiency. And, my neck has never felt better.
Please do not even start to mix «low price and efficiency» with «low quality service». Chiropractors do technical work, so let them service your aching spine and get you out the door so you can enjoy that extra time in less pain — not to mention a happier wallet. One look inside and you’ll be impressed by their simple but elegant décor (think plastic surgeon’s office), one receptionist and two part-​time chiropractors who are might even be practicing in their own clinics off to the side and making extra $$$ working here. No insurance means no administrative bullshit which then keeps costs low and which is why all they need is one receptionist up front. Low costs means pricing can be very reasonable and even less than what I would expect to pay from co-​pays (insurance companies really ought to start reimbursing more for holistic and alternative methods to therapy since throwing prescription drugs at patients will at times just mask symptoms).
Do not confuse efficiency for sloppy and uncaring service. What else do you expect from chiropractors? Hand-​holding? With Dr. Jim Becroft, I had a friendly practitioner who explained what was wrong with me, performed skillful manipulations with impressive cracking sensations throughout joints I never imagined could pop, and decreased pain afterwards (notice I did not say the pain is gone, you can’t expect any therapy to be a miracle cure that can undo years of pain and suffering that your body went through). After my second session today, which was cordial and quick, I was finally convinced to write a 5 star review for this place (I was tempted to intend a pun there).

Nervous energy /​breathing oddly is very disconcerting as well. The last time my leg was jammed into the bench… and my left shoulder remained stiff… even after the visit…
