The DD Van Service

We head a great experience with this company. We used them on NYE and they were affordable and on time. The booking process was extremely easy and our driver was great. I will definitely use them again!

I have not had to hire the services of this company for our events at this time; but when I was researching into the possibility of such a service for our Christmas party, I was ecstatic to find one. What a wonderful service? This company should be commended for providing such a service — I can’t even imagine how many lives they have saved — including the loved ones of so many. Thank you and kudos to you!

Although you might think of Über, Lyft, or even a good ol’ taxi, planning ahead with the DD is simply reliable and ultimately cheaper when you’ve got a group! We had a group of 7 in downtown SD on a Friday night and had scheduled for a ride home right around 2:00 AM.
Of course, ridesharing apps were all charging extra at the time and then on top of that you’d have to hail one to begin with. The DD was right down the street waiting for us in a spacious and comfortable van. Breanna (our driver) was extremely friendly and the ride home was actually relaxing after a night out.
Ultimately, the experience left everyone feeling like this is clearly the way to go out. We didn’t have to split up, didn’t have to worry, and ultimately saved money as well!

We recently used DD Van service and it was awesome! Breanna was super professional and extremly nice. I called a day before our event, needing only drop off, other services required a min amount of hours and were too expensive, The DD Van was not only able to accommodate us in a nice clean Van, but was also super affordable. Will definitely use them again.

Had an awesome time. Steve picked us up in lemon grove and drove us all the way to north county. Made 3 brewery stops and had a great time. Steve is super mello and easy to get along with. Prices are extremely reasonable. Will definitely use again!

Steve is the best person I have ever met. In all seriousness we got picked up in spring valley and taken to north county breweries (3) and made it home within 5 hours. I love this company and will definitely be using it again. Also he always told us where he was parked and offered to take pics without even asking. He was very funny and nice, love this ride!!!

Just used DD Van service again for the Rolling Stones concert at Petco Park. The driver Ryan was on time, super easy going and nice but more importantly flexible with our return being a bit latter.
They picked us up a big new van that was perfect for more then 8! There whole service rocks!!!

We came down to San Diego for my guys birthday and I planned a little brewery tour I made up myself at a few of the tap houses around downtown SD. I was thinking at first we would just über it around but at the last minute I thought I would do a little research on chauffeur services. Luckily I found DD! Breanna set us up the day before we came with a van for four us and I am so happy that we chose them and they were available!
Robert was our driver and is the nicest guy! He picked us up on time at the stone tap room downtown and we went from there to 4 others breweries. The van was very clean and he even had waters for all of us. I also love the fact that the company is family owned and operated. Everything went super smoothly and we had an amazing day thanks to DD!!!

Great experience. Our driver was very friendly and helpful on our excursion (a brewery tour for a bachelor party). The van was on time, spacious, and very comfortable (with plenty of room im the walkway for a cooler of beer and water for the in between times. This service was great for the brewery tour because we were able to pick all of our spots and our day. Price was also very good. I would use again and definitely recommend.

If you are reading a bad reviews on this page, then you are reading the wrong ones because this was the best driver service ever. Brianna was on time (actually she called and offered early arrival) and she was super cool to everyone in our group. We went to the Luke Bryan concert and she even let us tail gate and hang out before the concert. The van was clean, it was nicely air conditioned, and we kept some belongings in there and they were completely safe.
I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this driver service! In fact, I plan on doing a brewery tour or something in the near future because of how cool and simple this service was. The Drunk Driver has a new group of long time customers/​clients.

My friends and I used the Van service to go to a concert at Sleep Train Amphitheater. Breanna our driver showed up 20 mins early and sent me a nice text saying she was at my house but to take my time.
The drive was nice and air conditioned, and there was an auxiliary cord for us to play music that we wanted to hear, AND took us a back way into the venue where we didn’t have to wait in traffic and also got to walk right into the venue!
After the chaos of the show, she was super patient with us trying to get all our drunk friends together to head home.
I had a great time using this service and will definitely recommend and use The DD Van in the future!

Let me 1^st off say that I am incredibly shocked at a couple of the negative reviews here. My wife and I have used DD transportation to get to and from the airport, ride down to a Concert and have used them for transportation to breweries. THIS IS NOT A LIMO SERVICE! They provide a comfortable ride and will allow you to enjoy a tasty beverage to and from your destination. Steve has been all about pleasing the customer the few times we have used them and there rates are extremely competitive. Would I use them for a wedding? Probably not. That’s not there Customer but to get around town and do it safely with super cool people that are not out to gouge every penny from you is what DD is all about. We will certainly use them again and again!

I usually never write any reviews on Unilocal (purely out of laziness), but our experience with DD Vans was so good felt like I needed to!
I had DD Vans take 23 friends and I to the opening day races at the del mar race track and we had an AWESOME time.
Great drivers and great customer service… We were able to get a booking the day before the races (when most party bus companies were either out of bookings or trying to charge my group more than $ 900 for a round trip) and we got a great and easily affordable rate.
We took 2 vans, a 14 person and a 9 person. Both great drivers and no one in my group had anything bad to say about any part of our experience.

I mistakenly referred to the initial van we were supposed to receive as a «bus” — my mistake. The van we were supposed to receive was meant to fit all 15 of us. Instead, the driver squeezed 15 of us into what looked and felt like a 10 – 13 seater van.
We never demanded extra time on the beer tour. In fact, we got back 30 minutes early. We had the van from 1pm-​5pm and got back at 4:30pm.
You have no right to tell me that I was not very appreciative of your business. I absolutely was and was brought up to be respectful regardless of the situation. Since I was standing there, I can say that we were offered a discount as a result of your company’s mistake.
I am sorry that you are not happy with my friend’s 1 star review, but I am not speaking on behalf of him. I am speaking on behalf of myself and the experience I had with your company.
The group of individuals that joined my friend on what was supposed to be his special day, were not all part of the organization you chose to call out. This was not a fraternity event. Clearly, I am not in that organization either, but I will be sure to inform the organizations that I am in to refrain from your company to avoid the possibility of negative comments that your company may assume about an organization as a whole when only dealing with one individual.
Your company was there for the purpose of transportation, not the purpose of exposing our personal conversations to social media.

It really makes me sad to give such a bad review but it’s deserving by all means. I have used this company countless times in the past year for smaller rides to pacific beach and back with no hick-​ups at all, but the most recent use of this company has lead me to never use them again.
Me and my friends book this company for a birthday brewery tour. Regardless of booking weeks in advance and calling multiple times to confirm our appointment and order we still received exactly what we didn’t order.
I have worked in the high end food industry for years and in construction doing project management, from these experiences I have learned a few things, ethics, accountability and customer satisfaction. This company has proven that these words are missing from there vocabulary. Not only did they screw up our order 100%, but retaliated at us for there own mistakes making it seem like they were the victims. In addition, the driver that came to pick us up used profanity at us and told us we didn’t matter to him at all and that our business was not need. This is also the owner of the company that said these things.
*We ordered a bus that could seat over 15 people, instead we received a van that could barely seat 12.
*booked 4 breweries to tour that day (twice we called to confirm the breweries both times a week before the date we had scheduled), when they arrived they had no plan as to where we wanted to go.
I really hope this company and it’s ownership learns some organization and ethics because from a customer standpoint I have never been more disrespected in my life.

I really didn’t want to have to post another review. I merely expressed my opinion about my service and was absolutely shocked to see that this business decided to retaliate to my previous Unilocal review by attacking a third party business that I associated with.
Not only is this extremely unprofessional but they broke one of the general guidelines of a good business and Unilocal by publicizing my private information and what went on during the bus ride on a different social media website. She want on to attack me and another outside organization before even messaging me or trying to figure this out with me.
Keep in mind that they only posted this nasty review to my organization a couple days after I posted my Unilocal review. (By the way, I posted my review over a month after my service) so it was definitely a retaliation post.
They had called out an organization that was not the customer. It was an individual who was a customer. This was extremely inappropriate that they used personal information to call out an entire group of people.

Super flexible with our schedule, Sue got us where we wanted to go and let us extend our reservation to maximize our drinking experience. She knew where all the great breweries were, made a few recommendations and let us call the shots from there. Sue was super friendly, picked us up at the door every time we stepped outside of a brewery and helped us in and out of the van. Due to all the great beer, I felt like I was ran over by a van the next day but once I recover I would definitely use their services again.

Here’s the thing, you can count on these guys and the process is incredibly simple. I just emailed a week in advance and received a reply with various times and pricing options. Once I found the one that worked for the group, I confirmed and a Google calendar reminder was sent my way. Done!
On this particular night, we knew catching a cab was going to be an absolute b! tc# and UBER was going to take your first born. Turns out they were at 6.8X their usual rate so we looked like absolute geniuses for planning ahead and booking a van from The Drunk Driver Van Transportation.
You should have seen it, slews of drunk guys and girls with their shirts unbuttoned, heels in hand, mascara running down their faces, scrambling and fighting for public transportation. With an almost arrogant strut, our group cruised over to our awaiting chariot, (a big white van) and with a few slams of the doors we were on our way. Boom! Home safe and sound for a predictable flat rate. HNY!

Another NYE came and went and thanks to DD we got home safe and sound!
NYE’s are always fun but there comes that time of the night where everyone is trying to find a way home in the cold.
Drunkenly fighting over cabs at 1am just sucks.
This past NYE our buddy Brad B was smart enough to plan ahead and reserve us a ride home for the night. («look at the brains on Brad»)
As our evening came to a close, our driver was waiting in a comfortable van to swiftly take us home while Zombie like people staggered out of the party realizing they were screwed. He even went out of his way to pick up a friend that had decided to walk a few miles on their own.
For a safe, clean and comfortable ride home, think ahead and call these guys.
