The food here is consistently very good. The fri day specials are almost gourmet level at bar prices. The service is always great. The staff is more like hanging with friends. This place is a Friday night must for us

Awesome at atmosphere, food and staff! The pizza is out of this world. the margarita + with bacon, chicken, bacon. It was awesome. and the service was attentive and friendly. People where super chill

Place was open on a Tuesday morning when we were looking for a place to get some sit down breakfast by the water. Was given a recommendation for this place from the guy running the print shop down the way, Miss MissionBay.
Had a great selection for breakfast at great prices, especially considering the portions the plate came out with. We went with the biscuits and gravy combo and it was one of the best biscuits I’ve had here in SoCal. They also offered a free kids meal with the purchase of an adult meal.

Found this place at random while searching for breakfast near Belmont park. I was pleasantly surprised. Quite a few breakfast options for a bar. I had a California omelette (bacon, cheese, and avocado) and my son had the French toast sucks, which he seemed to enjoy. Coffee was really good too!

Good breakfast and kid’s entrée was free. I had a breakfast sandwich and my son had an egg and cheese burrito, which he actually finished. Now that is incredible! Easy location right by Belmont Park.

My family and I walked into this place to get a beer and a bite to eat. We sat down at a booth. There were three workers chillin in between the bar and the kitchen; we made eye contact with them and they acted as though we were invisible. We waited there another 5 minutes, 10 minutes in total and still they did not come over to acknowledge we were there to actually spend money $$$!. I seriously could not believe how horrible the service was, but I guess I should have got the hint considering it was an unpacked establishment. I do not recommend this place Unilocalers’.

This place rocks. Great beer selection and NFL games galore! Give it a try, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Honestly the food is what saves it. The bartender was so blatantly rude. Just wanted some quick burgers and a beer and she was so awful that I stared to question that maybe I offended her. Just trying to pay took forever and last time I checked, to-​go food is the easiest. And no it wasn’t busy, so as a bartender there’s no excuse.

Went in there saturday night and it was pretty busy. The waitress said she was to busy to serve us. Said we had to go to the bartender. There was only 1 bartender. We brought in 10 people to spend money and the service stunk. Why would they bot have more staff on for a saturday night and college football. Poor ownership and loosing money

The big thing about the service, the chick doesn’t pay any attention to you, it’s not busy, no reason for her not to come up to us… Not even once, not even to say «is everything okay?»
The food… Just gross, poor insult to Mexican food every where.

What a cute little place right off the beach. After spending a couple of hours exploring Belmont Park, my family decided to head over here to get dinner. The wait, at 7 on a Sunday, was essentially nonexistent. Our waitress was super attentive, and was quick to take our order. Our order came out quickly and was incredibly fresh. I got the fish and chips, and was impressed with how well it came out. Not to mention, the fries were incredible.
The prices were a little expensive, but considering it was a beachfront restaurant, I was not too surprised.
I look forward to returning next time my family and I travel to San Diego.

Yep the Coaster Saloon is A-​OK. My son wanted to eat somewhere close to the roller coaster and he is not a fancy food eater. I remembered that the Coaster Saloon had some good bar food so we headed there.
My son had chicken strips and at $ 5.00 for happy hour they were ample and cooked just right. The ranch was a little too thick and tart for my taste. My drink was also pretty decently priced. You have a view of the roller coaster and you can hear the people on it screaming. Pretty cool. For the smokers out there they do have a smoking patio. Some of the smell does waft into the dining area which could be bothersome for some.
All in all Coaster Saloon is a decent solid place for cheap drinks and bar bites.

The blonde bartender was beyond rude. Lack of creativity for mixed frozen drinks, topped with rudeness made us leave almost as quickly as we came. Save yourself the time of what probably would have been overpriced drinks and even worse food.

I’m visiting from Los Angeles with my fiancé & we stopped by here because a local told us their burgers are good. So we wanted to get some drinks. we stopped here also to eat. We seen the seat yourself sign so we sat at the bar. Not one person greeted us. The bartender didn’t speak much she gave us the menu when we asked for it I didn’t like the vibe so we told her we r gonna order a burger and told her well done pls… the burger took so long and it wasn’t well done. I’m not coming back.

You can find this bar located in between a pizza place and a Mexican restaurant. When I first walked in the place was packed! It was about 6:30pm on a Friday. I found a seat and waited to see who my server was, but after being over looked by 4 times by the girl servers I figured I’d grab myself a menu. That right there, was a lack of customer service.
There menu was pretty fair, you had your options of american food (burgers, salads) and few optional tacos as well as their new fried tempura shrimp.
My gf and I finally figured out what we wanted and when we stared out into the bar… again our server was no where to be found so I had to get up and go chase one down. This whole not having attentive servers here is beginning to make me think this is a common practice.
Well, our food finally came and my tacos was alright, nothing stellar. My gf food on the other hand was not so good. She ordered their new Tempura Fried Shrimp and it was very mushy… tasted undercooked and barely any shrimp, just all breading with a huge gap where the shrimp should’ve been! Lol
Anyways, we brought it up to our server and she quickly fixed the problem and rushed a new different order.
Our overall experience was ok. I liked how the bar had a very extensive list of crafts of tap :) way to go!
And they have a huge white wall where they project music videos or sports off of. Their food was pretty pricey but other than that, they really need to fix their customer service. Please train your staff to be a lot more attentive, you shouldn’t have to get up and look for your own server. I most definitely will not be coming back or recommending this place at all.

I’ve come here on 3 different occasions & each time I’ve experienced a VERY rude staff! Being a business owner myself, they do not realize their bread & butter are their customers! I’ve been a local for a year and ½ and have come here a handful of times and they do not give me a local discount! You only get a discount if you’re ‘in the industry’. What douche bags! Locals discount = more business. Sorry I have a real job and don’t work at Draft or Luigi’s Pizza (which sucks)!
The dude working behind the bar was only there to weed out the drunks which he quickly stereotyped my friends since they got in a heated debate about football! Boys will be boys… No one got violent or disrespectful but the guy bartender quickly tried to get us out as soon as the talks got loud!!! HELLO ITS FOOTBALL! Overall this place sucks I don’t know how they stay in business with such HORRIBLE customer service!

I liked it here.
We had wings that were soaking in bbq sauce. The bartender was super attentive. She recommended Alpine Duet IPA and I loved it. Someone at the table next to us ordered a pizza and I drooled as the woman brought it out. Obviously I didn’t eat it but it looks like it was cooked to perfection.
The space is spacious. There is an indoor and outdoor patio. 13+ TVs to never miss a minute of the game. Clean bathrooms ;)
Most people appear to be locals but they are welcoming of anyone that walks in.
Right on the beach and with a great view of the roller coaster. Nice place to grab some brews. Not too pricey. Good time.

So I decided to stop in here for a couple beers before heading home after a day at the beach. I sat at the bar and had a female bartender approach me right away to take my order. I saw that Unilocal had a check in offer of $ 1 off pints so I ordered a shocktop (it was priced at around $ 7). I also ordered fries and added cheese to them ($ 1 more). The fries were eeeeh and took a very long time to come out. And the cheese wasn’t hot like I would want it to. like when it’s been sitting out for a while.

So anyway I’m about to pay and show my handy Unilocal check in offer and the girl says «you know what we don’t take those. I don’t know who put that on there but we’re trying to get Unilocal to take it off.» With NO APOLOGY. And her tone was kind of rude.. So due to the service, this place gets 2 stars from me. I ended up paying for me and someone else so my total was about $ 40 and the bartender really couldn’t even take the lousy $ 1 off??? I think that’s not very smart on their end. But oh well, I won’t be returning to this place.

I went out for a beer to watch the World Cup game while my wife had to do some work. I’ve always wanted to try the Coaster for a beer, so I walked in. No specials during World Cup games, boo!
They do have an awesome beer list here and a bartender that looks just like The Big Show from WWE so that is 2 huge pluses.
I ordered a Lupilin Lust beer, good beer! Super hoppy and amazing aroma!
I checked into the place on Unilocal and they didn’t honor their $ 1 off pint special for check-​ins. Are you frickin’ kidding me?! You are going to piss off people who you know are going to review you over a dollar?! OK.
Well it just cost you 2 stars because I would have rated it 5 stars for dive bar charm.
Good beer selection and food but chintzeyness gets you nowhere.
