I have had a contract with this company for many years. The inspectors are great – very knowledgeable and professional. Dealing with the office is another matter. If you call the
800# to schedule service, they can’t help you and want a scheduler to call you back. The phone person was not allowed to give out the local number, which is ridiculous. The scheduler calls in a day or two and we play phone tag for several days. This is not good customer service.

I called this company on Friday ⁵⁄₂₀ because I have been having a Rat problem which brought in Fleas with them. The Rats have been living in my couch and mattress that I sleep on. Friday I called and the appointment scheduler was really helpful and confirmed my appointment for a free inspection the following day which was Saturday ⁵⁄₂₁ somewhere between the hours of 3pm and 5pm. It is now 9:47pm of ⁵⁄₂₁ and I still havent heard from them. No Call /​No Show!!!
I will never inquire about any of their services ever again!!! I will burn my apartment down before calling this horrible company ever again!!!

I work in Real Estate and I could not be more irritated by this company. I order termite inspections for escrow transactions on a regular basis (about two — three times a week) and the lack of customer service, ability to talk to the local office, and ability to get reports and clearances in a timely manner is appalling. I’ve sat on hold to get someone on the line for almost an hour recently.
We have a client that purchased a warranty for termites, yet when the inspector went out to her property he tried to charge her an inspection fee, got upset, pushed my agent out of the way and left. So I had to order a new inspection to be done with another inspector. Just to let you know too that the website claims to offer free termite inspections??? Not sure why the first inspector was trying to get my client to pay anything or discuss fees!!!
I am also so sick of calling to hunt down reports and clearances when I’ve provided my info and asked that I be sent the reports. This company needs to get it together if they want any business from my office.

We’ve had a contract with Terminix for 15 years. Our first tenting experience was fine… however we only had the house covered for one day which we later found out the norm is 2 days. After the initial tenting an inspector came out every year to see if the termites had returned. Each year he said they hadn’t. After several years, my husband noticed evidence of them in our attic and asked for the house to be tented again. The inspector convinced us it wasn’t necessary and told us to do a heat treatment. A few years after that my husband, note not the inspector once again, noticed they had returned to the attic and spread to a family room wall. We insisted the house be tented.
Our inspector made arrangements for the work to take place during a school break 3 weeks after the initial agreement. After spending several days bagging up food etc in our home, we got a message that the treatment needed to take place a day later than promised since another customer had canceled their appointment… this made no sense to me but I agreed. The day prior to our appointment we got another message that the entire tenting was canceled. After spending an hour attempting to get in contact with either my inspector or ANYONE at our local branch, I was finally told they forgot to make arrangements with SDGE to turn off the gas. (Something by the way I mentioned several times to them since the SDGE agent seemed concerned about this when I called to schedule an appointment to have it turned back on.) I became very upset and they suddenly found a way to make the tenting happen.
When we returned home we found personal items of the workers as well as 10 clamps left scattered around our yard. On checking the roof my husband found 5 more clamps, 20 broken tiles, and 2 broken vents. We were made aware that some damage to the roof was inevitable since they were walking on it… but really! I’m sure they could have avoided the vents and at least some of the tiles. We are now out $ 500 for repairs.
We have canceled our service contract with them and caution anyone from using this company. They are unprofessional and inept.

sprayed perimeter of house and deck so carelessly they killed several of my plants including a 40 year old bougainvillea. I am devastated seeing this plant literally die in front of me since they were here last month.

I wish I could give this company NO stars because of their horrible customer service and final result! They were suppose to start on a Monday morning between 8:00 — 8:30. They called the day before and said that they couldn’t arrive until between 9:00 — 11:00. I said NO I had a doctors appointment at 9:00 and they promised they would be here before I had to leave! The supervisor came out with the employee and said they had to contact SGE because there was a gas leak and we could go to the hotel and they would be in touch. We waited all day and finally the next morning we came back to our house to make sure everything was okay. There was NO tent and nobody had contacted us!!! My daughter called Terminix and they said they left a message on our home phone!!! REALLY when they knew we were in a hotel thinking our house was being tented??? The supervisor told me he would extend my warranty for an extra year because of the inconvenience I suffered. FORGET IT!!!
On Wednesday they finally tented our home and said it could be occupied again on Friday. After paying for a hotel for 4 days we came back on Friday and found our pool supplies all at the bottom of our pool and our bushes were all burned. $ 3,000 later all I can say is that working with Terminix was a horrible experience and would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! I am a 90 year old widow who had to finance this horrible experience and every month remember it again when I pay the bill!!!

Did no kind of inspection. Walked into a house uninvited. Had no answers. Called customer support. They transfer you and transfer you and transfer you and transfer you. My question was do I need to move the exterior lights. They did not know. I’m glad I didn’t go through with them.

I had a termite problem in 2014 and called Terminix. They did an inspection, which supposedly found evidence of (only) subterranean termites. I paid $ 3448 to have a bait system installed. In 2016, they sent an inspector, who found no subterranean termites but extensive evidence of dry wood termites. He said they would send someone to treat the areas affected. When no one called, I called to set up the appointment. After being on hold for over 20 minutes, I was was told that my contract only covered the subterranean termite species, and that they would not treat without another inspection and a new contract. This is a giant rip-​off. Do not use this company for termite problems.

Even though I have had several different technicians over the past few months, everyone I encounter is very friendly and capable. After a recent price hike, I appreciated that the company worked with us, since we have been a client for a while, to get the price back down to something reasonable for us. We have both termite and pest control. I appreciated the recent robocall telling me that a quarterly pest control service visit was scheduled. The time did not work for me (I don’t do 7 am under any circumstances and I asked the customer service rep to mark that on my account). Anyway, they rescheduled me for next day service in the afternoon, and someone showed up, as promised. It sounds like Terminix is having some business difficulties, which I hope they can overcome, because they have given us good service for many years.

In response to my previous review Terminix sent an email after my review for me to email somebody. Over a week later and still no return call.

I made a follow up and I’ve done multiple calls at TERMINIX AT: 858−268−0231 and they just put as on hold or either transferring us here and there not getting us any further to help. This contractor Inspected our home by DANIEL BENNER License No: FR49338 came to my home and did the HOME INSPECTION. We paid him cash but did not provide us the correct INSPECTION REPORT that I needed. This create so much problem by asking this TERMINIX FIELD REP and keep calling him in his BUSINESS CARD he gave us the NO#: 619−861−6388. He never returned our calls and it’s over a week that we been dealing with this TERMINIX REP and customer services could not help us because DAN BENNER did not turned in the INSPECTION REPORT TO TERMINIX OFFICE and didn’t even let us signed the report as a client and the cash payment has not been mentioned or annotated on the report so TERMINIX thought that we didn’t pay the inspection!
Dan Benner is very unprofessional, money hunger, and bad guy in TERMINIX company. I dealt with TERMINIX in 2013 for TENTING FUMIGATION and the Field Representative name: JOSE (Papa) ESTRADA is way better than DAN BENNER by processing reports formatted legibly and efficient.
DAN BENNER committed fraudulent, bogus reports by adding words that is not typewritten in the original reports after we had filed complaint. He is a scam and not reliable. He was dealing with my husband as Retired Veteran 20 years in the NAVY and as a DISABLED served this country. He got our cash payment pocketed the money and never returned our calls.
We asked his sales manager if he could return our money WE paid that is useless report due to sloppy job processed by DAN BENNER that is not acceptable with fraud/​bogus t reports. We are not satisfied with his services due to his rudeness, unprofessional and money hunger. DAN BENNER TOLD us that he does not accept check or credit card and its only CASH!
This causes so much problem because the incorrect home inspection reports provided was not signed by this FIELD REPRESENTATIVE TECHNICIAN and didn’t provide our signature in the report as a customer.
In order for us to get this squared away is to call another HOME INSPECTION SERVICES who does inspection reports with reasonable prices and I can register for annual membership with outstanding services as valuable customer. I advice to look around somewhere out there have a better services they can provide not this customer services at TERMINIX.
Beware this person: DAN BENNER LICENSE NO: FR49338 who screwed us and I wonder how many more customers he scammed.

I am very disappointed with the customer service I received recently from Terminix. After my house was tented I purchased a contract for an annual inspection which includes taking care of any termite problems. We are getting ready to re-​roof the house and found evidence of termites. I called for an appointment to come out and take care of the problem. They set up an appointment and then sent me an email saying they’ll be out for the annual inspection. I called them and said I don’t want an annual inspection, it’s too soon, I just want someone to come out and take care of the problem. They set up another appointment and on the day of the appointment called and said they couldn’t make it that day because they were too busy. No other day would work as the roof work will be starting. The lady argued with me that I had cancelled the first appointment. She said all of their emails say annual inspection. How would I know that? I was going by what it said. Needless to say I got no service and I will not be renewing my contract with Terminix.

Failed to keep their own appointment! Due to overbooking on their part, I’m sure. The feeling I get is they are in for the money, not for the customer. Already had hotel reservation, had to pay cancellation fees not to mention gas was already turned off! Thanks a lot you turkeys!

Ever since we had our house treated for ants internally and externally approx. two years ago, we have been ant-​free within our home. Much appreciated! Julius does a great job in our 3-​month external treatments. He is very thorough and courteous. Thank you!

Do not sign up for the contract. Their fav trick is to schedule a trip without consulting with you. That doesn’t work for me, since my house is completely fenced in. I paid for six months without getting a thing. When I called to cancel they were completely rude to me.

During the recent annual inspection of my house I was very pleased with the job the inspector did. He was courteous, thorough and professional. Also, while doing the inspection he was considerate of my property, taking care to not leave scratches, marks, etc. on my furniture, appliances, and other items.

Waiting on hold again for the third time this morning. I am trying to find out why the technician, who already rescheduled this appointment once, missed the two hour window that we scheduled this morning. No matter what number I call, I only get customer service representatives in another state, who say they are transferring my call to a local dispatcher, and then put me on hold again. Terminix did not used to be like this, but in the past year, their service has gone downhill.

I would give negative stars if i could. I used them once, for wasp control. I was told they would remove the wasp nests, and then put on something that would repell future nests. The guy only removed one nest, and left. He had to come back the next day to remove the other nests. He said they don’t have anything to repell nests. I talked to the person who scheduled the visit and was told they do one or the other (not what I was told when I booked the appointment).
I get calls from them about my service contract every 2 – 3 months. I NEVER had a service contract with them, only used them the one time. I have asked 15 times for them to take me off their call list. Given the many negative comments, they must be desperate for business

Do not do business with these people. I’m not sure why I didn’t check Unilocal or Angie’s List before I went with an exterminator, but that’s my fault. I had my house tented and they left my house in shambles. The destroyed all plants near my foundation, which is understandable. However, they left I flushed urine in/​on my toilet. The did not replace the screens the took off my windows. They tracked dirt and mid throughout my home. I did the «after fumigation» survey they provided and someone responded saying they would let their manager know of my dissatisfaction… Never heard another word from them.
Trust me, stay away and use a smaller company. I went with a large company thinking they would provide better service. They did not. As far as I know, the termites are gone, but the overall price my home paid was not worth the extra cost.
Do yourself a favor, and hire someone other than Terminix.

Previous homeowner had Terminix service and they «tried» to service us by showing up when we weren’t home, leaving a card and sending a bill. NO ACTUAL WORK WAS PERFORMED because my yard was locked and they didn’t have access! I called them back and they supposedly fixed it but just received another bill today.

Ok work done on the house but unfortunately terrible customer service and extremely hard to work with. I do not recommend using them because if you have any issues they will not be able to fix them and you will end up wasting so much time on the phone trying to fix things yourself.

After fumigating the house ourselves, we decided it was best to contact professionals since the spiders kept appearing. Bad idea. My mother called to set an appt. on Friday and they told us someone would arrive shortly within the hours of 5pm-​7pm. NO ONE showed up. We didn’t even receive a call! It was frustrating to sit and wait, believing someone would show up. We did not bother to call and ask questions or try to set up another appointment. It just comes to show their poor work ethic. Very unprofessional.

My initial doubts about Terminix were only exacerbated by the lack of courtesy and confusion that we experienced from customer service and the technicians. By lack of courtesy, I am referring to how the technicians do not show up during the set time appointments and come at a much different time instead (or not at all, even…)
Two days before we got our house fumigated, we were told that the technicians would come between 9 AM and 10 AM on the day of to set up the tent and start the process. On the day of, the technicians did not arrive during that time window. When my mom called Terminix to ask why, customer service told us that they would be coming anytime between 9 AM and 4 PM instead. It left my mom and I very frustrated because it pushed back our schedule for the day, and we didn’t know when to exactly anticipate them.
Just late last week, different technicians were supposed to come to do free ant exterminations as part of the post-​fumigation process. We had to reschedule twice because the technicians failed to show up at all during those two initial appointments. On the day they finally showed up, they simply did the work and left without a word to confirm that they were finished.
The reason why I am giving two stars is because one of the technicians we spoke to was very helpful in explaining the whole fumigation process and what we needed to do beforehand to prepare… Although he was very bad at replying and picking up his phone when my mom and I had important questions to ask him.

I have been a TERMINIX customer for over 10 years. Technician was scheduled on Sep 4^th and failed to show up. No calls received. On Sep 8^th I called to reschedule service for Sep 11^th and was told no appointments available but a tech can be at your house on Sep 9^th between 4pm and 6pm, so appt was scheduled and I rearranged my schedule to accommodate their schedule. On Sep 9^th I called Terminix 4 hours prior to my scheduled 4pm appt and was told «Tech is on schedule and will be at your house just a few minutes after 4pm». I left work early to make sure I was home by 3pm in case tech was early (as has occasionally happened in the past). I waited until 6:30pm and tech never showed up nor did I receive a call. At 6:30pm I called Terminix and was told, «I do not phone number for the tech nor is there any notes in the system indicating why he did not show up as scheduled. I will send a message to the branch manager to contact you and provide an explanation and reschedule tech for following day.» Here I am still waiting to here from a manager!!!
This is not the first time I have had trouble with tech’s showing up as scheduled.
Based on the reviews I have read … doubtful I will here from a manager or see a tech anytime soon. I don’t know how a company with such poor customer service stays in business

I was doing a refinance on my house and my loan officer called Teminix to perform a termite inspection. I had a VERY small window of time to perform the inspection and Jay Mitchell, the inspector, accommodated that. He was friendly and knowledgable and kind when he alerted me of the termites in my attic.
They set up the tenting to best suit my schedule and helped me when I had questions. While he offered many services, he was honest about the need and scope of work. Jason Curry installed attic insulation while I was at work. He was clean and treated my home and small dog with respect.
I understand that people give bad reviews because of the nature of their business, but I had nothing but good experiences with them. I would recommend them 100%.

Best termite protection plan! My awesome inspector Caleb C. did a fantastic job talking my grandparents through the process and gave a fair estimate. Termites are gone and my grandparents and I are both glad we chose Terminix!

Ripped off, bad service, high charges and hidden charges compared to the others. I set an appointment on Monday but the technician, did not come to do and kept lying he came. When I called me Tuesday to ask for the result, he was liar that he came but he did not come. I gave him the lock code to get in the house to inspect but he did not do until I found out on Friday. I cancelled and hired a different company to do but he still opened my home to get in to inspect without telling me. This is a bad and unprofessional service. WATCH OUT EVERY BODY THIS COMPANY. Bad service, never do on time and high charges. Look and read all one star first before you pick up the phone to call…

My daughter got bed bugs from Las Vegas and freaked out when she got home after seeing them and getting a rash from them. I called Terminix on Monday morning to come inspect. They were supposed to check their schedule and call me back to let us know how soon they could come out. An hour went by and no call. I called them back and finally set an appt for that evening between 6 – 8 Pm. They never showed or called? We called back the next morning and got another appt for the same time, 6 – 8 pm. They never showed again??? After calling and not getting through at 8:30 pm, we called back the next morning. They finally sent someone out around noon. Horrible scheduling and management! After an $ 800 quote to remove them and not getting any kind of discount for the inconvenience or hassle, we decided to go elsewhere! Never again will I call Terminix.

I had a termite protection plan with them for five years. Every single year, I had a problem scheduling my annual inspection.
I’ve had multiple no-​shows for the inspections, or people arriving much past their arrival windows. I’ll call and ask why the tech didn’t show up, and they’ve said things like «the technician called in sick today.» Fine, people get sick, I understand that. But if dispatchers knew that the tech wouldn’t show up, why didn’t they at least notify me to reschedule, instead of letting me sit and wait for someone that wasn’t going to show up? It’s total disrespect for my time.
Last month, I had another scheduling hassle with them to get a Saturday appointment. I wound up having them tell the branch manager that I want a Saturday morning, you pick the weekend, I’ll make it work. I was trying to be reasonable. The local manager emailed me directly with an acceptable date and time.
This weekend, the guy didn’t show up. I called and they told me their system showed a later time that day. This was news to me. Their logs showed that dispatch had changed my appointment time, again without bothering to give me so much as a courtesy notification, and let me sit there all morning waiting for someone that wasn’t even scheduled to show up.
THEY HAVE COMPLETE AND TOTAL DISREGARD FOR THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS.
(To be completely fair, every single person that actually came to my house was unfailingly polite and pleasant to myself, my wife, and my kids. No complaints with the actual techs… the ones that showed up anyway.)
Five years was four years too many with them. I canceled my subscription on the spot and demanded a full refund, and I’ll take my business elsewhere. There are plenty of other termite companies in the area with much higher ratings.

After the annual termite inspection in February 2015, the technician announced that there was past water damage under the main bathroom, and that there was FUNGAS. Cost:$ 750, though he didn’t put it in writing. He also didn’t offer any proofs of evidence. After contacting both a plumber and an independent contractor, photos were taken of the questionable area, and There Was NO FUNGAS! Essentially, the Terminex technician LIED to me, and was attempting to defraud me! I called and complained loudly. I was told I would get a credit, which never happened. I hope this technician lost his job! I am canceling my coverage. Don’t trust these people!

NEVER USE THEM! That’s all I should have to say. Nightmare of an experience, from customer service to actual service at my home. I have no idea how these people are still in business. Use anyone else.

Good grief this company is a HOT MESS!
I originally called their #866 number at 11:47am on 7÷12÷14 to schedule an inspection of my home. I spoke with Sophia Townsend. She advised me that she would message the branch manager closest to my home and have him call me and he would probably be at my house by the end of the day. I thought WOW… that’s pretty good service. Same day? Awesome! I’ll stay home and wait! I’ll sacrifice my Saturday and wait! Wait wait wait!
The whole day went by. No call. No show. Nothing.
So I figured perhaps they don’t work on the weekend. That’s fine — I like my weekends too, you know? So I figured they would call on Monday. Nope.
I figured they would call on Tuesday. Nope!
So by late afternoon on Tuesday I’m starting to wonder WTH… and I call AGAIN… you know, because I’m pro-​active like that. I spoke with George. George was a little snippy. George needs some phone skills training — just sayin’ — he didn’t make a good impression on me. George then tells me that the manager that Sophia sent my message to was out on vacation, so that’s why he hadn’t contacted me. Brilliant. So if you have a customer that wants service, there’s no one checking that branches emails or anything like that to save yourself from losing business? Fabulous business model! So I tell George I will have to «call them back» to schedule, because at this point I was wondering if I even wanted to hire these fools.
So here it is five days later. I called AGAIN just now and spoke with Autumn to finally schedule an inspection, because after all, Sophia and George both said it was FREE. It even says so on their website. I explain to Autumn the fun I had waiting all day Saturday, the lack of phone calls, etc… and she says it’s ok because they had me scheduled for 7÷21÷14! Um, WHAT? This company literally put me on their calendar without calling me or asking for my consent. I kid you not! Total disregard for a potential new client… could you imagine if I had not called and they just showed up out of the blue? How has this company stayed in business with this sort of business model?
I cancelled the appointment, of course and now that I see the other reviews, I’m glad I did…
