Tanita Family Daycare

My child thrived at Tanita. I really like the structured setting. No kids fighting over same toy as I have observed in other schools. This is very important. I believe the nourishment given to a child can affect their personalities. It is very important for s child to feel loved and to know right and wrong. Thank you to auntie Maria Tanita and all the crew for caring, loving and guiding my little Leo!

Tanita Family Daycare is a wonderful in-​home daycare. Since the first day i dropped my son off when he was 10.5 months old I’ve felt assured that he is in great hands. Maria «Auntie» welcomes each child with a hug/​kiss/​snuggle. She is incredibly warm while being able to also discipline. The kids all adore Auntie and her staff. Ms. Elvira and Ms. Danielle are also incredible care takers… extremely engaged, animated, patient, kind and communicative with me as a parent.
Tanita Family Daycare provides a structured day which incorporates both play and learning (including manners!). My nephew, who was there until he was three, left for preschool being able to identify all 50 states by shape… incredible. My son is already learning how to wipe his own mouth with a napkin… again, incredible.
Tanita Family Daycare is a special place and one that i definitely recommend!

I have been a public school Kindergarten Teacher for 16 years and knew exactly what I was looking for in terms of childcare when we had our first child. Auntie runs a structured routine where children know what is expected of them. Children are continuously learning. They are intellectually and emotionally stimulated but also have time to play and explore on their own.
Most of the children showing up in my classroom each year have no idea how to follow adult directions, interact kindly with others, have independent self help skills or polite manners. Most of the Childcare and Pre-​Schools I see are very loose, giving children too much freedom and choice.
I believe that Auntie has helped to positively shape both of my children and gotten them school ready. She runs a tight ship and has definite opinions.
I would highly recommend her daycare.

We have been very happy with the care provided to our son at Tanita Family Daycare. Auntie does run a tight ship, but one that is safe, loving and educational. We have seen a fair amount of turnover with her assistants but have always found them to be loving and supportive to our son. Auntie has no problem letting you know if she believes you are doing something wrong as a parent, and I am sure she does the same with the children. After all that is what they need. We would definitely recommend Tanita Family Daycare to someone who not only wants thier child to be looked after but a place that is designed to help the child grow.

I brought my 14 month old daughter to Tanita after scrabbling to find daycare before I rejoined the rat race. After meeting Fatima, or «Auntie» as all the kids know her, I knew we had found the perfect fit. While at Tanita our daughter began learning to read, write, and do basic addition and subtraction… and learned a song or two in Portuguese, as well as potty training. The environment at Tanita is extremely loving, and our daughter still talks about how much she misses Auntie and her homemade soups she prepared daily for the kids. I can’t say enough about how fabulous Tanita Daycare is, and I’m so thankful we found Fatima. I highly recommend Tanita to all parents.

A great Day care for my little one. My daughter attended daycare when she was 2 year old. Now she is 6 year and we still remember how much miss Tanita cared the little ones .

When my daughter was 11 months old I lost my daycare suddenly. I received a recommendation from a co-​worker for Tanita Family daycare and fortunately there was an opening. My daughter stayed until she went to preschool at 4 years old. I cannot say enough great things about this daycare and especially about Fatima, AKA Auntie. My daughter, who is now nearly 7 STILL talks about Auntie. Auntie took such wonderful care of my daughter and taught her amazing things. She learned to walk at Aunties. She learned her letters by the time she was 18 months old, became excellent at doing puzzles, and even learned where various states were on a map! Money well spent! Great experience!!!

Can’t imagine anything better, honestly. Maria Tanita has created a loving, structured, and educational environment where our son has thrived for a year and a half. The staff adores the children and Maria hires people who love the children above all else. They also conduct the older group like a preschool with units where they build crafts and have circle time related to weather or the ocean. It is structured, meaning highly organized with strong routines (which of course kids love). She teaches them manners (I walked in the other day to a 10 month old having snack at the table and wiping their mouth with a napkin :)) and kindness and love. It is run out of her house, but she has dedicated most of it to the kids and she has a large backyard with lots of play areas and equipment. She takes kids at 6 months and we plan to switch our son at 3 and a half to a more «traditional» pre-​school, but what an incredible start our son has had in life. Thanks to Maria and her staff.

Our daughter has been at Tanita Family Daycare for 9 months — my wife and I could not be more pleased. Maria has created a structured yet balanced environment in which learning and fun go hand-​in-​hand. Her assistants Mayra and Sarah are fantastic with children, so much so that our daughter is eager to get to Tanita every morning and often doesn’t want to leave when we pick her up in the afternoon.
I highly recommend Tanita Family Daycare to anyone interested in daycare services.
