I found out about this small corner of deliciousness about a year ago, haven’t stopped going since then! The pan dulce is delicious and there is a wide variety to chose from. The cakes I have tired, delicious! I usually go in the evening for the street tacos and YUP! YOUGUESSEDIT! ALSODELICIOUS! I enjoy their tacos de lengua and chicken! Nice little place with good ambiance.

Bakery part is excellent. Everyone loves their tortas but to me, they are just average. Lots in mediocre ingredients stuffed into dense bread. And… every torta has a fried egg on it. Great addition to MOST tortas. But not all are enhanced by egg, soooo. Idk. The BEST thing about this place!!! The street tacos they sell from 5pm to 10pm every night. This is the reason to come here.

Friendly staff, the food would be a whole lot better without so many flies though. It was not pleasant due to that. I’m afraid to know what takes place while my food is sitting there unattended…

Such a great place to eat breakfast, lunch, AND dinner! I’ve had their tortas(con huevos a la mexicana) and I’ve also had their bomb tacos at night with their amazing meat! Also, their pan dulce is so soft and perfect! I absolutely love their conchas! If you want REAL Mexican food. This is the place.

I have been wanting to stop in this place for a long time and now that I have… I can’t stop. As you approach, you can smell the donuts. Go here for fresh fresh donuts and pan dulce. It seems like they have a nice selection of hot breakfast items. I noticed that they get a nice small group of people in for breakfast. This place is so close to home, I would like to explore more of the menu. Next time, I will be sure to post some pics of the delicious looking cakes and treats. The coffee is pretty good and the donuts are warm and fresh. Don’t pass this place up if you are in the area. In the evenings they have street tacos and I believe they also have tortas for lunch and dinner. YUM!

Really great bakery in a sketchy area. If I lived closer I would have loved to make it a local spot to pick up breads and sweets frequently. I wouldn’t go to get a sandwich on the other hand. It was good but nothing worth raving about.

This place is awesome!!! We come here for their torta Cubana. It has the perfect combination in it: freshly made bread, ham, carne asada, avocado, jalapeños, cheese, chipotle mayo, tomatoes and a the best part is the finishing of a thin egg patty. Not to mention they have a taco stand outside after 5pm. Tacos prices are kind of expensive for a small street taco, but they we generous with the meat. They recently raised their prices on the tortas and tacos. And this place is CASHONLY. Also, it’s sort of an shady area so just be aware of your surroundings when you drop by this place.

Went in today on a lunch date with my fiancé, but I’ve been several times(including in the evening for their street tacos). Their tortas are worth the trip and a great lunch option, but their street tacos are fantastic. I’m not going to rave about the donuts, but I love that you can get tortas/tacos and donuts in the same place here.

Alright people, I am not kidding when I tell you that you need to try this places’ mini tacos!!! I am warning you now that you WILL want to come back for seconds after you try this place out. This bakery sales a variety of things including: sweet Mexican bread, street tacos, cakes(small and large), variety of pastries that include flan and cookies, drinks, tortas, and the list goes on and on. I Feel like this place is kind of pricey but well worth your money. A torta costs about $ 7 and a taco costs about $ 2.50 depending on what kind you get. They carry Carne Asada, Cabeza, Pastor, Chicken, etc. tacos. Just FYI, you have to order and pay for your tacos inside. The lady will then give you a receipt that you have to take to the guy making your tacos outside so that he starts your order. Again, you neeeeed to try this place! Go for the tacos or tortas! They never disappoint!

These tacos are the best!!! Very ghetto area though… the taco stand starts at 5:30 pm daily… come around 6pm it shouldn’t be busy… gets very crowded after 7 on weekends …

Last time I was here was a few years ago, when they were still smaller than what they are now. It’s very close to our place and we always drive by and see the taco cart but we’ve never stopped by until our recent visit. We had a craving for street tacos. We were surprised that they have a much bigger space now. So the way it work is you order your tacos inside and show the receipt at the cart and they make your tacos. They have the toppings out on the cart and you can help yourself to them. My partner and I each had a trio of tacos: carne asada, lengua and cabeza. We were hoping they would have more TJ-like selection of tacos(tripa, ojo, etc.). For those of you who don’t know what those are, it’s intestines and eyes. It may sound gross, but they are very good!!! I won’t mention what the«etc.» are… ha! Anyway, they are very generous with their portions! For light eaters, you can actually make two tacos out of one. All the meat were tender and juicy. As with TJ-style tacos, they are under seasoned but after piling on the toppings, the combination of flavors is wonderful! The guy making the tacos was very nice. Him and my partner had a conversation(in Spanish) about the tacos. Before coming here, I had the intention of getting dessert, particularly a slice of tres leches cake. But I was so full, I didn’t even want to take dessert home. We will definitely come back though. The tacos were fresh and delicious and the the service was great! Of course, can you really resist all those carb-loaded Mexican treats???

This review is about the tacos — not the bake shop. Ok. I understand that if you see a taco cart on the side of the road in a parking lot in El Cajon Blvd., your first thought is not«Oh my god so yummy must have meat!» I get that. But in this case, it will be. I went with my husband this time around and ordered four street tacos. The tongue was savory and moist and the cabeza was just spicy enough with a delicious flavor. That’s my husband speaking. Personally, I won’t eat tongue or head. No pun intended. I always get the beef mini tacos. Now, I’ve mentioned several times, in prior reviews, that I don’t do weird bits of meat. If I eat a dish and a morsel of meat has a weird consistency, I spit it out and can’t finish the dish. I am very finicky when it comes to meat. And I’ve never had a problem here. The beef tacos are absolutely delicious! And the guacamole salsa is addicting. I add some grilled peppers and onions, a spritz of lemon juice, and bam! Gourmet carne asada tacos. They are seriously that good. Might try the chicken ones next… So don’t let the cart in the parking lot scare you — it’s one reason I love living in San Diego — we have the absolutely best Mexican food.

I love this place for their tacos & pastries. Originally, this started off as your traditional Panaderia aka Mexican bakery. They have your typical sweet breads(conchas mmm), cookies & donuts. They have amazing fruit tarts and assorted cakes. There is an array of food and drinks to choose from. During mornings, people often pick up a donut and coffee. They offer breakfast/lunch such as tortas & burritos. At around 7pm, they have a taco cart placed outside their shop, where you can get tacos; carne asada, cabeza(cow head), lengua(cow tongue), pollo asado, & Adobada(pork). They are all good. They are extremely generous with their portions, so you can actually make two tacos out of 1– that much meat is on your plate. Their salsas are legit — I enjoy their green salsa on tacos, with cilantro & lemon. There have been a handful of times when I have gone to pick up one of their tarts and they are all out. Considering the amount of people working, I assume that since they started getting busier with tacos they are focusing less on their pastries. Being that this is a panaderia I hope their focus on their bakery doesn’t go down. Quiero postre please.
