Moving and finding a new stylist is scary. But Lucy knew exactly how to handle my thick hair! So relieved to have found her and this studio.

Affordable prices, very good service. They know how to do color, cuts, and everything else hair related. It’s in the heart of Kensington so if you have to wait, you can get a cup of coffee at Lestat’s right across the street or get a quick bite somewhere down the street.

I am a fan of this shop and will continue to take my toddler here for his haircuts. They are affordable and do a good job. They are patient with my son and work through his emotions. A baby haircut is now $ 10(some reviews say $ 5) but still, that is a deal when considering what you have to contend with(some babies are not easy). I had my haircut done here as well and I was very happy with the results. They will continue to have my patronage. I don’t speak Spanish but can communicate with them fine using pictures and limited conversation.

I had a really good experience here. It was mid-afternoon on a Saturday, and I was looking for a place to go to without an appointment. I only had to wait about 5 – 10 minutes before I was seated in one of the chairs. The lady was pleasant and attentive to my needs(I asked to keep my hair long, cut the unhealthy ends, and wanted some layers). It was a quick haircut, but turned out to be everything I needed and only cost $ 20. My hair looks great and feels healthy. Definitely great for on-the-whim appointments if you’re not looking for anything specific. The place is a bit out-of-date with no fancy equipment or displays, but great service and great price.

OMG. I can’t believe I only paid $ 5.00 dlls for a baby haircut. I was looking for a good deal and I decided to ask how much they charged I was hoping no more than $ 10.00 and when I found out they have the baby haircut Tuesday I could not believe it!!! Definitivamente seguiré trayendo a mi bebe!!!

Wow… I had not cut my hair in 6 years cuz frankly I am never satisfied with the cut I receive. I sketched a drawing of what I wanted and Lupita, the owner, did a fabulous job and her rates are soooo reasonable. Will never go anywhere else again!

I just moved here from the east coast and have been looking for a hair salon. I found this place here on Unilocal.I am a brunette in my mid-thirties and get my hair colored to cover the gray. Sometimes I opt for highlights or other treatments, but this time I wanted an all over chocolate color. My hair is long and layered. I was quoted $ 75 for the cut and color, which is about what I am used to paying back east. The price included blow dry and style. I was not charged anything extra for products. I was more than pleased with the finished product. The color turned out beautiful, and Lucy did an excellent job on the cut and style. It’s true that the ladies’ English skills are limited, but they try very hard and if you show pictures that helps. The ladies’ English skills are much better than my Spanish skills any day of the week! They are very nice and I definitely recommend giving them a try!

Been bringing my twins here since their first haircuts. Hairdressers are always very patient and professional. Very good with kiddos who squirm and you can walk in if you need to. Recommend these ladies highly for an affordable cut.

I saw this place across from Pilgrimage Yoga when I was leaving one day. After stopping in to see the place, say hello and check prices I decided to go back for a cut later in the week. Men’s cuts are $ 12 now which is a great deal. Lupita cut my hair and it is one of my favorite cuts in a long time. She was very good about listening to what I wanted and then giving me the cut that I was hoping to have. All in all a great experience. Also at that price I feel like I can go in for cuts more often which will keep me looking my best.

I have been here several times now, and think I will continue. Cheaper than Supercuts and they don’t try to upsell you on products and services. They are also very nice and I’ve never had to wait very long. Yes, a little bit of a language barrier, but I haven’t had any problem getting the results I want. Support local businesses! :)

What sweet women! They are as inexpensive as the beauty college I use in Austin. They colored my hair. Did low and highlights. They trimmed my hair and were great at blow drying. They are my new salon when visiting from Adams. Only good deal I found in San Diego! I will miss all of them. After writing this review, I have come two more summers for great haircuts, color and blow drys and have com eto think of these dear women as family.

I stumbled upon this little Mexican hair salon after literally fleeing a high-priced kids’ boutique. I drove straight to Studio 67, which is right next to Viva Pops. The place is nothing fancy. Kids haircuts are $ 10, men pay $ 10 and women around $ 15. They take walk-ins and appointments. The staff is very nice and accommodating, but may have limited English skills. They do have plenty of gringos who come in and are able to communicate their tonsorial needs just fine, but it helps if you speak Spanish. With all the money I save, I’m going to buy lots of Viva Pops!
