Alex and Alexander were awesome! I had to upgrade 4 phones and 4 lines… oh by the way we got some great specials and phones!

I came into this Sprint store about a month ago because my balance was absurd and incorrect… I had been having a NIGHTMARE of a time with Sprint since the moment my boyfriend and I signed up with them, so I definitely didn’t go into the store with a warm disposition…
(Little background story:
We started our plan at Best Buy and for the first week or so we did not have working phones. Best Buy and Sprint sent us back and fourth letting us know it was the others’ problem to fix and while they did fix it at the end of every day; we would wake up to non-​working phones the next morning. Frustrating to say the least…)
I wish I knew the name of the young lady whom assisted me at this Sprint because she was awesome!!! She was patient with my moodiness (sorry, whatever your name is!) and understanding of my frustration. She held on the phone for nearly an hour trying to straighten out my bill for me and was still kind and sweet through being hung up on, at which point she had to start the process of helping me straighten things out all over again.
I left with a fixed and paid bill, as well as with a smile. Hold on to that petite little lady (whom I only remember was wearing a cute Michael Kors watch I complimented at the time) — she is a keeper!

My husband Oliver and I walked in sprint not expecting much from them. let me tell everyone so they dont encounter this problem this is NOT a sprint corporate store this is a 3^rd party Sprint by IMobile dont get me wrong not that it matters u get the same service but better customer service so being 3^rd party they dont lack on that. The only problem you may have is returning a phone must be returned only at this location where it was purchased. .I went in there did my research and had a game plan mapped out on what we wanted and what we wanted to pay. With Verizons ridiculous bill i wanted more for my buck Alex the new manager is pretty amazing he answered every single question we may have had and gave us every single promotion there was and stacked everything together. He was a pretty patient guy and very knowledgable in what they were selling. I never had such great customer service ever and i am seriously not over exaggerating that. Usually when i want something i research it and educate myself and ask ALOT of questions dealing we us and when i say us (i really mean me the wife lol) is not easy and usually ppl get stumped with all my questions. But hey if u dont ask they dont tell right?! Verizon had us paying $ 230 for two lines and sprint gave us a bill of a $ 180 give or take for more. We basically were there for a few hours but it was fine because they gave us a cheaper plan, more data and 4 lines, and 350 dollars worth of accessories. Few days later we moved out of state and had a problem with our bill i called sprints wack customer service and they directed me back to sprint in san diego. I called Alex and quickly with no hesitation he jotted down my info and will address the problem. All around cool guy even the hubby gives him 5 stars. That being said this Sprint off Balboa location is really a good place to go to Just ask for alex the manager they really want your business and will do everything they can to make their customers happy. Sprint really should acknowledge Alex he really is an asset to your company and should be recognized for his great job performance. There was another latina lady that was pretty awesome also. i forget her name though but shoutout to her as well she was more of a behind the scenes girl. Will recommend to all my family and friends! I wont even call customer service any more if this is the kind of service i keep getting from this store! hands down the best ever!

Employee who helped us out was friendly and helpful so no problem there. She explained the options about switching from another carrier to a family plan and was patient with the questions and forthcoming about how much it would cost.
She showed us the phones and clearly went over there was a lease price, with option to buy as well as purchase price. Though we had to ask for a range of phones… the only ones that initially were shown to us were the flagship phones. No mention of lower end ones until we asked or even middle range phones? I’m not sure if that’s a result of them trying to push the more expensive phones or whether or not this store has them… seeing that they are a third party store that sells Sprint services and not an official Sprint Store itself.
Still, it was a relatively painless experience even if we didn’t end up signing up for anything.

Will was a huge help. He helped me so much with my account and saved me money. It’s service like that, that keeps customers like me coming back!

Popped in for the new iPhone 6 on Monday. Jen helped me navigate the Sprint reduction in my data plan and over the next 2 years I will save over $ 700 on my plan/​phone!!!
Phone that my 10 year old chose wasn’t in stock… «Should be a couple of days», says Jen. Sure enough Jen calls on Wednesday. Had a super busy day at work and called Jen to see if she was still at the store. «Got some stuff to catch up on — I’ll wait for you» she replies after a 10 hour day!!!
Got my phone, saving money and even got some cash off the new cover and accessories.

I have been using this Sprint store for several years now. I am never disappointed by the level of service I receive here. I had to go in yesterday to take care of multiple items Will and Alex were so helpful! They took the time to explain my options and take care of all the paperwork. This is a busy store so try not to go right after work or on the weekends… better to go during the day if at all possible. Excellent customer service!

Great Customer Service From ALL the staff but Jennifer is terrific. My wifes phone bonked and she spent 45 minutes getting it back online even though this is NOT a repair store she went out of her way to make me a happy camper. Thanks Jennifer !

STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!!
I preordered my iPhone 6 PLUS on ⁹⁄₁₂ with Tre (super nice guy, this low rating is not for him). He calls me Monday ⁹⁄₁₅ to confirm the phone I wanted. I’m thinking «was my phone not ordered on the 12^th, did I lose my place in line?» Tre assured me that I did not. ⁹⁄₂₀ Tre calls me to let me know my phone arrived. I go in to the store and the phone is NOT the PLUS.
JENNIFER (this 1 star is for you «babe»), said «oh we’ll just Return it and order you the correct phone.» I then asked her if I lose my place in line. She said «yes» with a smile. «Thanks Jennifer!» (I do mean that sarcastically). Monday rolls around and a coworker told me to just order the phone on the apple website. Great idea, so I call this store up and ask them to simply cancel their f*ck up. «You have to come in» says a friendly voice on the other end. I replied with «I’ve been in that store twice now, everyone acknowledges you, and tells you ‘someone will be with you in a minute’ but no one waits one you because they’re too busy with Casper, plus I have a small baby.» «I’m sorry, but that is our policy» so I ask for the managers name (JENNIFER, your shining moment is coming up), I ask to speak with her, and she is busy, she’ll have to call me back. So I leave my number. I didn’t get a call back from JENNIFER all day! This did not surprise me.
I walk in to the store at 630pm ⁹⁄₂₂ with my baby, who will need to eat soon. A couple of hillbillies walk in the door in front of me, so they’re waited on immediately. Everyone just greeted me and told me some one will help me out soon. About 10mins later a young man helps me, gets all my info and assured me my cancelled order was completed. So I ask for a print out. They don’t have that he tells me. So I ask for a print out showing that I am now eligible for my upgrade. He pauses and the lovely JENNIFER chimes in «we have to return the other phone first, we are waiting for a return kit and that takes about 14 days.» Wait, what? 14 days I have to wait for this stores ERROR!!! Unacceptable! And yes folks JENNIFER said that with a smile. As if I ordered the wrong phone and she was happy that I now lost my place in line again! JENNIFER tells me that they cannot order me a new phone until this one is sent back. How is that fair? I could understand if I ordered the wrong phone or changed my mind on the specs, yes I should have to wait. In this case THIS STORE F**KED UP MY ORDER, JENNIFER IS A POOR EXCUSE FOR A MANAGER AND NEEDS CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING, SHE NEEDS TO STOP BLAMING OTHERS FOR MISTAKES, AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE, AND I WILL MAKE SURE TO DIVERT EVERYONE FROM GETTING SCREWED BY THIS JOKE OF A STORE.

Stay away from this place, I’m warning you. This place is SHADY. We were fooled by the friendly staff, including the guy who helped us, Alex Herrera. We arrived Friday, September 19^th when the iPhone 6 came out and since this was a hidden spot and most people do not have Sprint as their provider, there was no wait at all to get the new iPhone. Alex seemed helpful at the time, guiding us through our options. To proceed, however, we needed to buy $ 50 worth of accessories. What?!
We inquired further about this policy and Alex informed us it was the manager’s policy and he thought it was unfair too. We asked how long this policy was to be in effect and were told at least a month and a half in all the Sprint stores around the area.
We both thought it was ridiculous, but weighed our options and reluctantly decided to fork over $ 50 for 2 phone cases ($ 39.99 for the iPhone 6, $ 9.99 for a crappy one on sale that we would never use but needed to reach the minimum to leave with the iPhone). We felt robbed after we left.
Yesterday, we called Sprint to verify if this information was actually true. They were appalled upon hearing our situation and put us on hold. When they called back, they said they spoke to Alex and he denied this policy. They opened a case for us and we told them we would follow up with them after we sorted it out with the store. We called the store and told Alex that we were returning the cases. He got flustered and told us to come in.
When we got there, he was busy helping other people. I walked right up and said, «Hey, remember us?». I simply did not feel the need to wait for his service when we shouldn’t have had to make an extra trip in the first place (especially if he was ripping off the people we walked in on him «helping»). Of course, his attitude completely changed from the friendly and helpful employee we dealt with on Friday to one that is apprehensive (a.k.a. he knows he’s in deep sh*t). He texted someone on his phone and went to the back to talk to someone. He returned our cases and didn’t say much. We asked for the name of his manager and all he said was, «Jennifer» and refused to give us a last name (sheisty much??). The whole situation was very sketchy and we had a feeling he was in on it by the way he acted.
After a phone call with Sprint, we recommended that they audit the store to look for any extra add-​ons of accessories worth $ 50 of all customers who got the new iPhone. This is a completely unacceptable and ILLEGAL practice this skeezy store is carrying out! It is insulting that they think they can get away with extortion and whoever is responsible needs to be removed from his/​her position. If these are the types of people that Sprint would allow to represent them, we want no part in giving them our business.

The staff was amazing, super helpful, friendly and tried to get me in and out as quickly as possible. The staff gets 5 stars all the way! The one star rating is for the $ 50 extortion fee to buy a new iPhone 6. I do not know if this is a store policy or sprint policy (I’m investing and will revise my review if I learn otherwise). When I went to buy my new iPhone6 I was informed they could not sell me the phone unless I purchased $ 50 in accessories. WTF??? If you want to avoid a extra $ 50 on an already pricy phone go somewhere else to buy your phone.

Quick and simple on this one. Walked in yesterday to upgrade my phone. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed by all of the associates and felt right at home. Alex, a really cool associate, came up and asked what I needed. I told him what the plan was and he was more than happy to help out. I told him id be back the following day at which he had no problem. I came back today and he was very helpful. We had a good chat about how the retail world worked and some good laughs and I was on my way. All in all, it was a solid day with spring. Got my new phone and was pleased with the service I received. Thumbs up to this store!!!

At first the store looked closed so I called in but there were two employees in there. I walked in and I was the only customer so I got helped right away. Andrew was the guys who helped me. He was really funny! The other was a girl who’s name I didn’t get but they were both super chill! We were all talking like we weren’t even in a sprint store which was really relaxing after having such a long day both for them and myself.
The customer service was seriously GREAT! I would probably come here again just to talk to those two. Got my phone no problem and definitely 5 stars for them!

The gentlemen here at this location are very knowledgible and extremely helpful. 5 Stars to the staff !

This is by far one of the WORST Sprint Store in San Diego. When I first bought my phone they were friendly. One month after my purchase when I had issues with my phone they had no interest in helping what so ever. With one employee telling me to call Sprint myself because they only sell phones.
Then I went back a couple of weeks later to try and have them set me up with my employee discount at the place I work at and they shut me down again. The same guy who shot me down the first time told me that I had to go to Sprint online, fill out my info myself, and to go home and do it myself because they dont do that at the store.
The third time and the last time I went was because I was shopping at Vons and decided to by to Sprint since I was there already just to pay my cell phone bill. Guess what they said? You can do it yourself by calling Sprint.
So pretty much every issue I had their answer was. CALL SPRINT. Apparently this store only SELL PHONES and this is their OFFICIAL SPRINT STORE not some random stand at a Best Buy or a Radioshack.
I truly advice people to looking to buy a SPRINT phone to NOT GO to this store. Either buy it online or go thru a friendlier SPRINT store who is willing to go and beyond to help you with your service and not just sell you a product and tell you that your on your own once you purchase the product. If I could rate this 0 stars I would.

I came here to find out when my contract was over and they said that I was eligible for an upgrade this month but my contract wasn’t up until December! December??? I always thought my contract was up July but when it was july there was a Sprint that said im elegible for an upgrade in July but my contract is done in September! I always thought that was weird and now the store manager here was telling me it not til DECEMBER???
So, I asked for it to be printed out for me and the store manager only prints out showing im elegible for an upgrade in September then, God bless Ana who looks it up and shows my contract indeed was up in July.
So thank you to this store for finally telling me the truth.
I feel Sprint corporate owes me some money… seems they lied to me about my contract just to keep me.
Don’t trust what Sprint TELLS you. Ask for it in writing or they might string you along for a long ride.

Ismael took care of us for setting up a new account with iPhone4s. It was quick, customer service was awesome. I like other guys working there as well.

I went to the Sprint store on Clairmont Mesa and Overland next to Starbucks. I deliberately went at a slow time. Two «salesmen» (not) and I’m the only customer. I told the one guy who expressed some interest in a customer in a totally empty shop, that I knew nothing about cell phones, contracts, data plans, etc. (I don’t. I’m 65 and only have a landline.) Well, I didn’t get any help in that store. If this is what LIVE help is like, I can only imagine what it would be like getting help from them over the phone. Or maybe it’s a generation x or y thing. Anyway, I can cross sprint off my list.

I went into the Clairemont store (on Balboa) yesterday trying to buy an iPhone and the woman working there did everything she could to try and talk me out of it. She kept saying things like «you don’t want an iPhone», «have you ever tried blackberry?». When I asked her how to access Siri on the iPhone she flat out said she didn’t know. I left and went to the store at UTC. They were so helpful and they were happy to sell me an iPhone! I don’t see any reason to ever go back to the Clairemont store.
