I’ve brought my Audi here twice. Apparently my car is so good looking that people crash into it in parking lots trying to get a closer look. Sincerely though, these guys do excellent work. I’ll admit that I’m a difficult customer but I won’t take my car anywhere else. Thanks Randy!

Owner of the place was super friendly! I pulled my car into the lot & I was told I would be seen shortly. The owner & I went out too my car & checked out the front bumper area I showed him. Specifically my car didn’t have any REAL bumper damage. No dents or anything it was just scratched paint on the surface on the car. The owner briefly told me about how expensive it is too simply paint small surfaces & that my car didn’t need much work. He eventually went to the back & got a liquid that instantly took ALL of the scratches on the surfaces out of my bumper. He told me everything I needed too know if this happens again. The customer service was great. Highly appreciate everything. I keep saying owner b/​c I didn’t get his name, although I KNOW he ran the place.

Unfortunately, I’ve been to Randy’s shop 3 times in the past year or so. I say unfortunately because my car was damaged each time. The first time I was rear ended on the freeway. It turned out to be a total loss & the damages far exceeded the worth of my ’98 CRV. But I love that car & Randy was able to work the estimate so the insured’s company paid for all but about $ 100 & I was able to keep the car with a salvage title. The 2^nd time I got hit when my door was open & Randy was able to fix it without charging me anything. This last time (& it had better be the last!), my bumper came off & they are fixing it even as I write this. It will be ready tomorrow & although it cost a bit more than I had anticipated, the accident was my fault & it is what it is. I know some shops are shady but Randy has always been up front & honest with me.

I was referred to Randy by DCH Honda mission valley to have my ’08 Honda Pilot license plate bracket fixed (apparently a minor but common problem with this model). He scheduled me over the phone and gave me an estimate. I took my car in today and left with a secure, well mounted license plate! Car was finished earlier than estimated time frame and price was what he had quoted me. Excellent customer service in person and over the phone plus the work looks quality… it may have been a small fix but it looks to be more secure than any other previous try to fix it so I’m definitely satisfied! Hopefully won’t need to ever utilize the shop again but if I do I won’t hesitate!

Unilocal is right!!. wooohooo as good as it gets. some moron hit my parked car and did lots of damage. randy came and got it, handled all the insurance b.s. and did an outstanding job of repairing it. my vehicle looks better than pre-​accident. not only was the quality of repair great the customer service was a ten as well. i was always informed about the repair process. I can honestly say that this is by far my favorite auto body shop that I have ever been to in my life!!! I came to Randy with no idea on what I needed to do or how the repairs to my car were going to be handled. He broke it all down for me and took care of me and my car every step of the way. I know now that if anything goes wrong with my car, I will be bringing it to him and his shop for repairs. They have an awesome staff and are very friendly. They got my car back to me in even better shape than it was in when they initially took custody of it. I can surely say that if you need any work done to your car TAKE IT TO THESE GUYS!!! You will not be disappointed.

I took me Scion FR-​S here after a minor collision. Randy was extremely helpful and honest. He helped me sort through the insurance hassles and de-​stressed the situation a lot. The actual auto work was superb too — several parts of the body had to be replaced but the paint job was excellently executed and I couldn’t tell a difference.

This shop was recommended by Honda Dealership, but it is a family owned business with very high standards. Randy took care of us like we were family. He dealt with insurance company like a pro and we got our car restored to like new condition inside and outside after theft. They even detailed the interior. Needless to say, This Is THE BEST body and paint shop in the area. Hihgly recommended. Go there and ask for Randy, you won’t regret.

Randy Frank was not what I was expecting as the owner of Sports and Classics Auto Body. He is clean cut, well spoken and highly knowledgeable about not just his trade but also the insurance company we dealt with. Our car was recently stripped of interior after being stolen, the stereo and speakers were gutted and there were several new stains and burn marks on the seats and floor. After fearlessly navigating our insurance company for 2 hours of his time, he was able to get the insurance company to pay for TWICE the amount they originally agreed to. He is an excellent communicator and a decent human being. He was able to check out our damage right away and make sure that when we left, we had a safe reliable car once again. Thanks Randy!

Took my girlfriend’s 2012 Honda Civic here to fix a large scratch across both right side doors.
To call their work flawless is an understatement. We just picked up the car yesterday and it looks as good as it did when it was brand new. Moreover, it was worth every penny to see my girlfriend’s face afterwards, when she couldn’t even tell there was ever a scratch to begin with.
We actually had originally asked our Honda dealership/​service center to fix it for us, but they told us that they had all their repairs done by Randy anyways, and highly recommended we deal with him directly.
I gave Randy a call, and he said we could come by anytime that same day to get it checked out and receive a quote.
We drove in to some of their team smiling and welcoming us while fixing some really fancy cars (much fancier than our Civic!). The quote ended up being a little higher than we hoped, but he explained to us that they are not in the business of «spot painting» and they instead do all the proper finishing so we are not coming back in a few months asking why it chipped off. He was so confident in his team and the work they do that there is a lifetime warranty as well (I think he might have said everything they do has a lifetime warranty, not 100% sure though)
After some more explanation of the quote, he was nice enough to offer us a reasonable student discount. I’d say it was the lifetime warranty that was the biggest deciding factor for me, less so than the price, but he did go the extra mile to ease our decision process.
They told us it would take 3 days, and were done ahead of schedule in about 2 and a half days. No complaints there. We picked up the car and couldn’t be happier. Thanks Randy and team!

Overall excellence is how I would categorize my experience with Sports and Classics Auto Body. This establishment was suggested to me by my auto dealership, and therefore, I felt comfortable to seek an estimate from them. Randy, the owner, was professional and knowledgeable, and has an honest persona about him. Because I had plans to drive my car out of town before the repairs were made, Randy urged me to bring my car in for an inspection, to ensure that it was safe to drive. I was grateful for that suggestion! Upon my return, the auto body repairs were executed in a timely manner, and with great excellence! This review is way overdue — several months ago I had a major dent and scraped off paint on the fender of my year old BMW. Randy did an excellent job fixing the dent without replacing parts, matching the paint on the rest of my car and applying it so that the damaged area was virtually indistinguishable. I had spent considerable time looking for the right auto body shop and I’m glad I stuck with Sports & Classics.
My tipoff at first was that they work on classic cars for collectors — collectors are obviously both knowledgable and care to get it done right so I’ll follow their lead.
I don’t by any means profess to be a car repair or auto body expert, but I am pretty particular and checked every inch of my car (that I adore) both after the repair and over time to see how it held up. The work has stood the test of time.
In contrast, several months later during a routine brakes check the BMW dealership of San Diego a dealership employee ran my car into another car AT the dealership. I had little control over the repairs given where it happened and they ended up doing a somewhat passable job at repairing the damage that they caused. I can tell where they applied the paint, I see what I’ll refer to as «wrinkles» in the metal over the fender, and it’s nowhere near as good. That experience proved to me just how much better Sports & Classics really was.
Randy’s great with keeping you informed during the repair process, calling regularly, keeping to the due date, and not taking an exorbitant amount of time on the repair.
If your insurance company doesn’t want you to come here, tell them that’s where you want to go – it might cost the insurance company a bit more but it’s worth it to do it right.

Randy, I don’t doubt that your business could have been an «Award Winning» shop. Maybe once upon a time it was given that acknowledgment, but after seeing what your shop does today, I think you should reconsider using that title. Anyways let me discuss the REAL facts about what happened to my car. First, you received a 5 month old 2014 Dodge Challenger, virtually brand new with a large dent on the passenger front fender. Your shops job was to fix it, pretty easy I think for any shop. (So I thought).
A week later, I get a phone call from the dealership to come pick up my car. NEVER did I speak to anyone at sports and classics to discuss whether or not I wanted to keep the fender or replace it, I was never given that option it.
From far away the car looked good, but once I got close and inspected what Randy and crew had done I almost soiled my pants. First there was a paint run, yes a paint run or drip at the edge of the fender. Not only that, but the clear coat near the edge of the fender had come off or rubbed off when they removed the masking tape. And to make matters worse, the new fender did not match my front bumper. This mistake would have been easily seen if attention to detail was a priority. (My color is High Octane Red Pearl).
Now I wish the story ended there but readers it doesn’t. When sports and classics repaired the damaged fender, for some reason they found it NOT necessary to actually remove the fender they were working on; too time consuming for an award winning shop? (I wouldn’t think so). They «repaired» the fender on the car and just taped around it. I know this because you can see where the new paint meets the old paint underneath the fender. In doing so, overspray got all over the clear coat of my brand new car. I know this because a half ass attempt was made to remove the overspray therefor causing deep swirl marks all over the car.
Randy, your shop took a brand new car and botched the front fender repair and left deep swirl marks all over the clear coat. No sensible person would give you a second chance if you couldn’t do it right the first time. Besides Randy, bringing my car back and calling you out on the Tijuana style repair of my car would not have motivated you to properly fix my car.
By the way, I took close up pictures of your «Award Winning shop» repair, I can post them here on Unilocal if you still believe you repair was made with the «upmost pride in perfection».

As Good as it gets! I received Great Customer Service from Randy at Sports & Classics Auto Body, He called me when he said he would and my car was done on time, but more than that, Randy made extra phone calls to save me money on warranty work and even fixed a little dent not covered so his guys didn’t have to paint over it! They went Above and beyond and my car was fixed up Perfectly! Thank You Randy and Crew at Sports & Classics :) 2 thumbs up

Imagine my shock, horror, and rage when I pulled out of my garage space in my apartment building one morning and cut my steering wheel hard to the right WAY too early to avoid hitting my lazy neighbor’s Mercedes (who had parked in the garage driveway as opposed to his assigned space)…and scraped up the rear passenger side wheel well reeeeeally good. Right down to the metal and everything. And, unfortunately, not just on the relatively easily replaceable bumper, but on the quarter panel of my ’07 Camry, which is actually one big piece. Not pretty. I’m not proud to admit that I sat on it for several weeks before deciding to do something about it. Even in San Diego, winter rain can take its toll on the exposed metal and start to rust, so I did my Unilocal research, took the car to a few body shops in the North Park/​South Park/​Hillcrest area, and finally decided on Sports & Classics Auto Body because the reviews were *so * impeccable. It wasn’t the lowest quote I received, but I was the most impressed with the staff.
Randy was friendly and helpful and even gave me some decent advice on how to deal with the insurance claim aspect of the whole situation. They were also accommodating enough to let me keep my car there free of charge for several extra days after I dropped it off, because I decided to get it repaired while I was out of the country for about two weeks. And, above all, they made that ugly scrape completely disappear. It was absolutely flawless. When you’re already stressed enough about the expense, the insurance, and the stupid, stupid situation that got you into this situation in the first place, that kind of service goes a long way.

My truck turned out perfect!!!

I found Sports & Classic through other Unilocal reviews. Randy took really good care of me. My biggest concern was the paint color not matching. Well I can tell you my Honda Accord looks beautiful! I highly recommend this auto body shop!

I won’t give them a low-​star review because Randy was very nice and helpful … just know that «Sports & Classics» is a misnomer. They don’t do classics, despite all the fancy classic cars on this Unilocal page. You steered me wrong with your photos here … we’re going to Hawley for our classic car. Don Hawley will help … he’s truly old school!

Talk about procrastinating! I am the KING! I’ve been meaning to get around to this for a YEAR…
Randy is, hands down, THE BEST! Both of my sons moved to San Diego, a long way from Florida… Both of them needed work done on their cars. I looked on Unilocal and saw that he had good reviews and was close by, so off we went.
I explained our situation, the boys being far away from home, and not only did Randy go above and beyond as far as trying to save us money on the repairs, but also graciously offered both boys his personal contact info, with the statement that if they ever needed anything, help, introductions etc, that they should feel free to contact him. He said he could be their other Dad, and he was there for them. My wife and I were both very moved by this, I can’t say enough positive stuff about this guy. We walked in off the street as strangers, and it’s unbelievable how he put himself out there for us. We walked out more than customers, I’m proud to call him a FRIEND!
Oh, by the way, the bodywork was TOP NOTCH and extremely reasonable. I’d recommend SPORTS AND CLASSICS to anyone!

I was referred to Sports & Classics by my local Honda dealership, where I get my regular oil changes and maintenance. My car’s paint job had begun to show visible fading across the roof, on the edges of the door, on the trunk, etc. The guy at Honda gave me the business card for Sports & Classics and told me to call Randy because there had been a warranty extension on the paint for my car’s model year (2007) and I could get the paint restored back to new.
I brought my car in and he took some photos of the fading paint and contacted Honda with the images. He had been told that they would actually only cover half of the $ 3,200 paint job (which I still couldn’t afford). Randy took it upon himself to follow up, and Honda agreed to cover the entire job. The process from dropping my car off to picking it up took a week and a half, as promised, and my car looks brand-​new. He even replaced the striping that was missing from one door, and made it match the other door (my car is a coupe).
I am thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, timeliness, and friendliness displayed by Randy and Sports & Classics Auto Body. Thank you!
