Spirit in Motion Retreats is a non-​profit organization specializing in cultural tours throughout San Diego and bus trips from San Diego to locales throughout Southern California. We also provide local walking tours discovering many hidden gems in colorful neighborhoods in South and North County. Our walking tours are fun, informative, and often involve culinary delights to add a little pep in your step as you traverse America’s Finest City. If you have your own group or are a Destination Management Company, we invite you to contact us as well and we would be happy to provide your group a special and memorable San Diego excursion or day trip from San Diego to Southern California cultural destinations.

History

Established in 2013.

We are a brand new tour operator proudly operating as a non-​profit organization. We are about community and know how valuable it is to our beautiful city, San Diego. Although as an operator we are new, our team brings years of passionate experience to the industry and we are excited in sharing this passion with you. We are day retreats exploring our world (and city) through tradition & culture.

Meet the Business Owner

Sherry J.

Business Owner

A native of Baltimore, MD, Sherry’s heart was called to the west. She packed up and made the great migration to Las Vegas where she lived for eight years before laying down her roots in San Diego. From a very young age, Sherry was taught to appreciate life, spirituality, people and nature, which carried into her adult years. While studying Classical Voice and Performing Arts in college, she was introduced to Reiki. This holistic healing practice awakened in her the need to explore and understand the world around her. After studying Buddhism alongside monks at the Kunzang Palyul Choling Temple in Maryland, she began to see the oneness that is living within every member of the human race. Sherry is currently studying Divinity and World Culture with the goal to earn a Doctorate Degree. Her work as a singer/​songwriter grows deeper as she shares powerful messages of unity, peace, love and acceptance. Sherry looks forward to sharing many laughs, many insights and many travels with you.
