History

Established in 2013.

Our Founder Dave is a real do-​it-​yourself kind of guy. He has worked in the I.T. field for over 15 years and has a real knack for getting different kinds of technology to work together harmoniously.

He spent many hours putting together the photobooth for his own wedding in September of 2012. It went really well (considering the fact that the booth ran itself while Dave enjoyed his wedding reception).

After the honeymoon in Hawaii, his wife Julissa reminded him of how much work he had put in to getting the photobooth to run, and that he pretty much had started a business without even knowing it.

After a few more practice events for friends and family, Snappy McGee officially launched in January of 2013. 2013 was a great success and the future is so bright, we gotta wear some big goofy photobooth prop shades :)

Dave is a San Diego Native who loves long walks on the beach, romantic candlelit dinners, and making your events AWESOME with his Photobooths.

He’s an avid musician in local bands and has over 15 years in the I.T. field under his belt.

He decided to strike out on his own and merge his wild nightlife musician side with his I.T. techie side and thusly Snappy McGee Photobooth was born!

Snappy McGee did our son’s birthday party last month, and they are the best! Costumes, templates, and just a really cool guy all the way through the planning process. We hired Dave for our daughter’s Sweet 16 party. He and the attendant were great to work with. Customized text on photo strip, decent variety of props and spacious for several folks to be in the pics. We also had the social media package which was an awesome way for those who wanted to get their pics online real time. We had the photo booth for 3 hours which was more than enough time to get lots of pics for a 5 hour party.

We had a successful Halloween event thanks to a last minute booking with Dave’s photo booth. He was very professional and quickly responded to all my inquires. He exceeded my expectations and even helped us design a unique photo strip which included our company logo! Great touch which everyone loved. We all had a wonderful time and got nothing but great comments on the photo booth. Looking forward to having them out for future events. One of the best decisions was to hire a photo booth for our wedding on Oct. 25th! Dave was very responsive with my inquiries. The Gal That Took The Photos Was Also Very professional. I loved working with Dave! Not only was he very responsive in my inquiry and questions but the wedding Photo Booth was awesome! He did a Traditional Vietnamese booth where all of the guests line up to take photos with the bride and groom as they enter the cocktail hour. Not only did the line move quickly but the prints came out quickly and they looked beautiful. I will definitely be using Dave for any events in the future!

Snappy McGee Photobooth ran 2 photobooths at our wedding at the Marriott Coronado Island on 8÷23÷14.
From the start, Dave was very easy to work with and returned emails/​texts/​calls in a very timely manner. Dave assisted in creating custom templates for each of our photobooths. We ended up doing a 4“x6″ template for the entrance photobooth and a 4 picture template for the second photobooth that ran throughout the night.
A couple highlights are:
1) You can select an open air photo booth or an enclosed photobooth
2) Photobooks are provided depending on the package you select
3) Backdrops are provided or you can use your own (we used our own)
4) Dave is very proactive in the planning process. We met with him for an initial consultation and he met us a second time at the venue to give us his professional opinion on where the photobooths should be placed and what the space & electrical requirements were.
I’ve used at least 50+ photobooths in the past at weddings, corporate events, etc and by far Dave has the most high tech and professional set up I’ve ever seen. The dissfussed flash set up that he uses makes the colors in the pictures really pop and he has great props that he brings along. Our guests all loved their pictures and had a lot of fun.
Working with Dave was definitely a pleasure. I would definitely use Dave again in the future and would highly recommend Snappy McGee Photobooth.

Best decision I’ve ever made to was to hire Dave for our 9÷6÷14 wedding. Dave from beginning to end was extremely professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. Our guests had the most amazing time in the photobooth and the AWESOME pictures we received was solid proof (and also very hilarious!). Definitely one of the highlights of our wedding for me. Dave made us a custom photo strip, brought amazing props, and was so wonderful to work with. Oh, and he also sent us the picture files 2 days after the wedding — score! All of our guests made comments on how fun and awesome it was. Do yourself a huge favor and hire the best — Snappy McGee!

SIMPLY THE BEST!
We had Dave run our booth for our wedding at TomHams Lighthouse back in January and all my guests including me (the bride) had an incredible time. He is by far the best photo booth company to work with. He is great quality and the price is perfect and affordable. He came highly recommended from my best friend who had her wedding 6 months prior to mine. We loved him so much that we gifted another friend a photobooth session for their wedding. Super fun! My wife, son and self were all invited to the grand reopening of the soup plantation over in Point Loma after their big remodel and it was a total blast thanks to Snappy McGee! I grabbed a business card from Dave the owner who was operating the booth just to be able to share our experience with everyone here on Unilocal and to be able to solicit his services in the future. I have seen these ‘Photo Booths’ in the past at events but have never really felt comfortable enough to approach. Dave was great, he was not just super friendly but also engaging and inviting without pressuring anyone to jump into the booth to get their fun picture snapped. This is a rare balance and my hat goes off. Everyone was having a great time in and out of the booth. It was a perfect opportunity to meet new people. I would highly recommend Snappy McGee for your next event without a doubt. Great memories!

Snappy and his assistant did a great job at my Wedding. My friends and family had a blast. He provided more then enough props to have a great time in the booth. One of the things I loved, was he let Joe and I (bride and groom) photo bomb whenever we wanted. He provided me with a scapbook and the picture quality was amazing, the only thing is I would have preferred the pictures were glued on, not just slipped in. My 9 year old moved some of the pictures and they don’t go with the messages. Snappy was very easy to communicate with and was available for onsite meetings. I would recommend him anyday.

We had Snappy McGee at our wedding reception on 8÷24÷13. They had fun props, including a life sized «most interesting man in the world» for people to pose with. Dave created a photo strip with our wedding colors and a custom logo with our wedding date. He also put together a photo book for people to insert their pictures and write a little memo. The professional photos are important, but these photo booth pictures were so fun and captured some really classic moments with groups of family and friends that will be treasured forever!

Snappy McGee was the highlight to our Auction. Families couldn’t get enough of the photo strips. Dave used our event flier to create the layout for the strips. It was very well done. They arrived on time had a quick set up, and best of all supplied all the props. Everyone enjoyed having a photo booth, and families keep talking about it! We will defiantly use this business again!

Having a Photobooth at my wedding was one of the best decisions we made! Everyone LOVED it and it was perfect as we used the photo strips as wedding favors, which were way better than any stupid little candies with our names on it.
Dave even did up a really cute layout background/​icon for the strips with our last name and wedding date inside a heart, it was perfect.
He also sent us a file of all the pictures from the booth so we can enlarge some and print them, which is so nice since it wasn’t a traditional booth (where only 2 or 3 people could fit) but pretty much a camera facing a black background with props to use (we fit 10 people in it at once).
We set a photo album, markers and a glue stick next to the booth so people could put their pics in and write us a note, it was so great going through it the next day it is the perfect memento!
The price was pretty reasonable and I was definitely satisfied with the service, would use him again :)

This is a great addition to any corporate event or family reunion/​gathering. People just seemed to get into it at the event I was at & Dave is a very knowledgeable computer/​photo guy. Kids REALLY love it! The best part is you will have photos of your event that really are fun & someone does not have to walk around with a camera. Highly recommended!
