Sleep Train Mattress Centers

I was very impressed with the service of the Sleep Train staff, especially Janet Zaidman. As I entered the store, I was politely welcomed by Janet. She was friendly and very knowledgeable. I was looking for a mattress that would suit a 2−½ year old, but also serve to accommodate adult guests, if need be. Janet was helpful and accommodating in narrowing down a good fit for our family’s needs without over selling me on a mattress. After I narrowed down the mattress she and a manager offered a deal I could not refuse. I certainly recommend this Sleep Train location and their staff. My wife and I will be back to find a mattress for ourselves in the future. Thank you!

Loyalty brought me back to buy a bed for my mother. Janet provided excellent customer service and she helped me stay within my budget. Their prices and return policy can’t be beat! I bought my last bed here a couple of years ago and received the same excellent service. Highly recommend!

I dropped in this Sleep Train not really looking to buy today, but just browse to figure out pricing since I had been shopping for a while for a new mattress at other locations such as Macys, Ortho, etc. This location is right next to Target and Costco so it’s really convenient if you’re already in this shopping center.
When we walked in, we were greeted by Nicole who was really nice and friendly and I told her which mattress I wanted, the Beauty Rest Black Evie mattress (no box spring) which is named differently at Macys and Ortho, but the same mattress. I asked her what was their price and she said she would look on her computer and then brought over some pillow covers to use so we could lay on the bed while she did her research.
When she returned, she came back with a really reasonable price, but not lower then what I had found at other places when on sale (at the time, they also had a «mattress wars» sale of $ 200 off this mattress). When I told her that I would wait for the next federal holiday which was a few weeks away, she said she would find the best deal from past federal holiday sales and match that price.
When she came back, she was really close to the lowest price I found last Veteran’s Day, but still not quite there. However, she was so nice and so accommodating (compared to other sales people I met at other mattress stores — and I’ve been to quite a few), that I really wanted to buy from her, especially considering her price was the close to the lowest I found. She even found a clearance mattress (one that was returned from their satisfaction guarantee) that was really cheap, but since it was «used» I didn’t want to buy that one.
I told her that I was interested, but only if she threw in some free item that I was thinking of purchasing. After all was said and done, I got the mattress at the lowest price I found, with some free goodies, all with an awesome sales experience by Nicole. She really made the experience overall really easy and great. She’s very easy-​going and will give you a really good price on your mattress. If you’re on the fence, take the time to visit and ask for her. You won’t be disappointed with their customer service.

Great Experience! Wally helped us pick the right mattress for us! He was knowledgeable, pleasant and straight to the point, which was helpful because we had our two little ones with us. We are sleeping better than ever!

Went in and purchased a mattress and frame from this location. The sales person, Kara, was very nice and helpful in the sale of the mattress and was able to work out a great 6 Month lease (300 more then base price) to get me what I wanted. The problem happened after was said and done, 200 down and papers signed. I found out that the great 6 month plan didn’t exist and they lied to me! She told me the plan auto defaults to a 12 month lease, which would cost me 1000 more then base, and I needed to call the leasing agency and switch it. Okay, that’s odd I thought but whatever. Call the agency up and explained that I needed to switch my 12 month plan to the 6 and was promptly told that wasn’t a option, either pay off in 90 days with no interest or 12 month plan. When I called Mattress Discounters back it took me 2 – 3 calls back and forth before they would acknowledge they lied. They gave me my down payment of 200 back, which was nice and all but I shouldn’t even be in this situation and am extremely upset. I am letting every I know about this… friends, family, coworkers, anyone i overheard talking about buying a mattress. I will interrupt them and say «Please never go to Mattress Discounters, go somewhere else where they staff doesn’t lie to make sales.»
TLDR: Mattress Discounters sales person lied to me about finical options, now I am stuck in a 12 month lease where I am going to pay 1000 more then the base price of my purchase. Please do not ever go to mattress discounters.

To the note below from Mattress Discounters, my issue is not with Progressive. There was no miscommunication about the lease she explained it all quite clearly, I even bring up how it was odd I HAD to call Progressive. The issue is she lied to me about a payment plan that wasn’t offered in order to make a sale and because of that I am locked into a lease that’s gonna cost me $ 1000 more then the base price.

I cannot say enough good things about Kara! Kara is the type of employee that all businesses should strive to hire and retain. She was helpful, friendly, not overbearing, and when it came to getting us the deal we needed, she was relentless. She was told «No» by the finance team, but persisted until the deal was done! Now, tonight, we are laying on our wonderful new Tempur-​Pedic Cloud Supreme, and could not be happier! Thank you Kara. Mattress Discounters and you have truly earned our business.

Searched online, and spent three days going to 6 mattress stores. The minute we met Wally, we relaxed, and learned a lot. We left, looked at some more places, and then came back to Wally. No pressure, he is a very polished salesperson. Bought mattress and adjustable frame, and came in $ 1,000 under what we had expected to pay. Mattress and frame are perfect!

Bought a mattress Kara was an awesome not to negotiable salesperson. Bed was scheduled to arrive next day delivery.
The delivery personnel was rude .
2 men who were in a rush. one was setting up the frame while the other tried to drag in my brand new standard king hybrid to my front door. on his way in he bumped off my outdoor entrance lantern that was a fixed to the wall. My husband had to rush over to help him and prevent further damage.
Then the boxspring came this time they both brought it in together. Turning the corner into the room they knocked down a picture frame affixed to the living room wall. it broke, and I had to stop them so i can pick up the glass pieces; because they didn’t even want to acknowledge it. Once every thing was in the room I noticed a tear on the box spring that would void the warranty. It had to be returned, they left the mattress and the frame they set up was standing up against the wall. he said he would like to leave it like that because it was already set up and it would be faster for when they came again. I had to demand them, to take it apart. I have toddlers home and it would have been extremely hazardous, especially since we were left to sleep on just the mattress on the floor.
When I singed the delivery receipt I stated on there the damages they caused. His reaction was disgusting he rushed out and slammed my door. Next day I speak to Kara tell her what happened and she states «well you got a really good deal on the mattress already». I told her I didn’t pay thousands of dollars on a mattress in exchange for my personal property being damaged. Next thing I know I get a check for $ 50.00 which is insulting being that she didn’t know the extent of the damage. I contacted their main offices and haven’t heard from anyone yet. It’s not a third party delivery service and they should train the delivery personnel to be just as courteous to the customer.

We stopped in to check out a new bed to replace our 8 yr old sagging mattress. We met Wally, an excellent consultant who educated us on mattresses and suggested one that best fit our needs. Then we ended up getting 0% financing which was the cherry on top.
I work in the software industry where innovations are well known, but I think that recent innovations in bed tech are just as amazing! But not as well known. Run to mattress discounters and get yourself a new bed ASAP!

The mattress eventually did get the proper support with the proper frame. The company also called me based on the initial review. I declined any further help.
I believe had the frame been ready when the mattress was delivered, everything would have been acceptable from the beginning.
Because they had weeks before my order was delivered, yet didn’t have the frame, and because the delivery man wasn’t exactly careful, I would rate them average. But, the mattress is comfortable.

We went in today to buy a new mattress. Wally made the process very quick and easy. We told him the price range we wanted to stay in and he helped us get the best deal for a really great mattress. Since we checked in on Unilocal,we even got a free bed frame! Also, we were eligible for free delivery. Overall, the saved over $ 170 and were in and out within 20 minutes.

My husband and I stopped into Mattress Discounters since we were in the area. We actually were planning on going to another mattress store nearby, but I saw Mattress Discounters on Unilocal and they even offered a check-​in deal of a free bed frame and 25% off any bedding or pillows.
Walking in, we were greeted by Kara. She was very friendly and asked us what type of mattress we were looking for. We mentioned that we had an idea of a type of mattress we liked and she pointed us to the Stearns & Foster mattresses. She gave us some other mattress suggestions for us to try out and even a gel pillow for my husband to try. Kara was very knowledgeable of the different mattresses and gave us all the info we needed in order to purchase the right mattress for us. We debated between two different mattresses (Stearns & Foster & Posturepedic) for a while; I made my husband go back and forth between the two to test them out. During this time, Kara gave us our space and checked in on us periodically, but was not pushy at all. When we finally made our decision, Kara rang us up and we got a great price on the mattress set (labor day sale), a free metal bed frame and 25% off a pillow and mattress protector set (for checking-​in on Unilocal), free delivery, a 60 day price guarantee, and a 120 night sleep guarantee. It was also only $ 10/​mattress for them to remove our old mattresses upon delivering our new one.
It was very easy to schedule delivery and I got a call the night before with a 2 hour timeframe as to when they be delivering. We also got a call about 30 – 45 minutes before on the day of to let us know when they’d be arriving. The whole delivery process was very quick! We had 2 mattresses that needed to be removed from our guest room, needed the metal frame to be put together in the guest room, put the boxspring on the frame, move the mattress from the master into the guest room, and then have the new mattress set put in the master. They also went ahead and put the boxspring protector and mattress protector on the new set for us. The whole delivery process probably took 20 minutes at most.
We’ve been sleeping on the new mattress set for a few days now and it’s been so great! No more back pain in the morning! Our dog loves it too.
I definitely recommend Mattress Discounters if you are looking for a mattress. They have a great selection, great deals, and the customer service was fantastic.

I just got a serta queen set here and love it so far. The lady who helped me was super nice and informative and understood I was in a rush. I believe her name was Kara? I just wanted to leave a positive review here for Wally Kashat. Last week I was shopping for a new mattress and had been to several stores along Mercury/​Kearny Mesa Rd trying to make an informed decision on a mattress/​box set that I was also comfortable with. MD was the first store I was in, and I had my eye on a certain set there, to compare with other stores. I ended up buying a mattress set down the street from another store that I thought was a good deal (comparable quality but lower price). However, it turned out that they gave me incorrect information about the coil density and the warranty, so I ended up having to do a return/​refund after going back and forth a few times with the salesmen there, and to make a longer story short: the whole thing was a frustrating hassle. I ended up coming back to MD and purchasing the original set I had considered from Wally.
What was totally unexpected was how Wally considered and handled this situation– for me he made up for the mistake of THE OTHER STORE!!! He ended up giving me a better price on the set and added in a frame on top of that. He totally went above and beyond what I was expecting… awesome customer service, thank you Wally!

After sleeping on what seemed an air mattress stuffed with dead animals, we knew that it was time to buy a new mattress. We decided to check out Sleep Train and Mattress Discounters.
We found a mattress at Sleep Train that we were just about sold on, but decided to not make an impulse purchase and get some coffee first and talk about it. Mattress Discounters was right down the way and so we stopped in there.
Kara L. was the salesperson for the day and she was helping another couple. She asked a couple for questions and when we were told her we were looking for a specific mattress (the one that was at Sleep Train), she was honest and said that her store didn’t carry that line but that Sleep Train did. No pressure tactics at all.
We kept looking around and decided to try a mattress. Oh heavenly bliss! It was better than the one at Sleep Train. Kara had to balance her time between us and the other couple but she did keep checking in on us and answering any questions that we had about the mattress that I was basically not ever going to get off. She asked us a couple of further questions and gave a great purchase price for that mattress and a better deal than Sleep Train.
Kara was great and she got our order processed quickly. She explained a couple of things and was upfront. Now we’re enjoying a great mattress!

I’m having some pretty serious back problems and needed the right bed. Harper helped set me up perfectly. The guy was nice, knowledgable, and mellow. I got just what I needed.

So far so good… Ron was a super friendly sales person and wasn’t very pushy at all. If you are looking for a new bed I would highly recommend checking them out… at least in my experience it was simple and friendly. My personal experience didn’t include a pushy salesman (unlike some other furniture stores that happen to sell beds as well), and upsales weren’t pushed down our throats.
Can’t wait for my bed to complete the breaking in process!

We dealt with Ron Catlin, excellent experience.
My girlfriend needed a mattress asap. So I was apprehensive about how good of a deal we’d get, as we wouldn’t have as much time to research.
We worked with Ron for about an hour to find her the right bed (felt very Goldilocks and the 3 bears), and he never kept us at the most expense ones. Encouraged us to try the lower priced ones as well.
They ended up not having the one we wanted for same day pickup, so we got upgraded for free to one that was.
He was very patient and genuine, and it made being a first time buyer much more relaxing. In the end we worked out an excellent deal on a Serta mattress.
Oh, and if you want good coffee, Target’s is pretty legit.

Great shopping experience. They were out of the set I wanted but Harper helped me find an upgrade and let me get it for the same price. Delivery was fast and easy.

Picking a mattress is a difficult procedure … think Goldilocks! Mattress Discounters was the second mattress store that we visited and we were lucky enough to get Sergio, the store manager. When we told him our «squeaky old bed dilemma», he suggested a new box spring instead of a new mattress. We agreed and bought a new one, along with two fancy-​schmancy gel pillows.
Unfortunately, after about two weeks, we discovered it was still the boxspring so we had to find something called a «bunky bed» and return the boxpsring. Sergio was gone for the weekend, but the hugely helpful Harper got us all set up over the phone with our returned boxspring, bunky bed, and Serta iComfort Savant … this was ALL over the phone on a Friday evening and it was here by Sunday at 10:00am.
We love the mattress, pillows, and our squeak-​free bunky board and we couldn’t possibly say enough about the wonderful Mattress Discounters. Highly recommend!!!
