We are proud to announce that our second location opens at 10 am daily in the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park at 2611 San Diego Avenue and closing time varies from 6 to 9 pm. Since December 2000, Silver Crossing has offered a unique selection of quality sterling silver jewelry at competitive prices. You’ll find a wide variety of charms, rings, chains, earrings, bracelets, toe rings and anklets. Featured designer lines include Italian Millefiori, antique buttons, Roman glass, Michou, Beach Glass Bingo, Holly Yashi, Boma and marcasite by Argent Creations. Crosses adorn the walls and inspirational plaques, frames and token gifts.

History

Established in 2000.

I grew up in retail. My mother had exquisite taste, opened a Native American store in Old Town, then moved it to Seaport Village in 1980. My father loved woodworking and learned to silversmith. Trails West also had leather goods and all things cowboy. I worked with them for 16 years and treasure every moment, but I dreamed of having my own store one day.

A vacancy next door let my dream come true! I combined silver jewelry with an old world theme, creating a unique, rustic atmosphere. Amidst the architectural home décor, crosses got all the attention, so I covered the walls with them. Customers relayed stories of cross walls in their homes, needed crosses for their garden, a sick friend, a baptism or a marker for a loved one. They poured their hearts out, some even cried when they found the perfect cross. Thanks to our customers, Silver Crossing is the source for crosses and silver jewelry. It just feels good to be here. Business Owner

I’m a native San Diegan and have lived in south, north and east county, as well as downtown. I play piano, enjoy live music, especially jazz, soul, pop and country. I sing barbershop four-​part harmony with the San Diego Chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines Intl, and it’s the joy in my life. I worked in the banking industry before joining my family’s retail business in 1984.

Silver Crossing is my heart and soul, my sanctuary. It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s very rewarding. I’ve met so many wonderful people that share a love of beautiful things and faith in God. It makes my day to hear a customer say, «Silver Crossing is my favorite store!»

I am very thankful to have an awesome staff — women that truly enjoy helping customers find beautiful pieces to wear, give as gifts and decorate their homes. Many thanks to all who contribute to its success!
