Sharp Rees-Stealy Frost Street

Great staff and they did a good job on keeping their appointments running on time. I hope I never need to come back but if I do I am glad they are here for me.

I’ve been twice now to see Carter J Maurer
Department Of Othopedic Surgery at Sharp Rees-​Stealy and his manners has been nothing more than honest and helpful. He shows care and spends the time answering all my questions as does everyone of the staff I’ve engaged in.
I see all the negative reviews about Sharp which may be individually deserved but in all my 20 years in the Sharp Health care network plan — it’s always been the best for me.

So just to clarify, I’m giving the PHARMACY one star, not the actual hospital. Being told that the wait time for a prescription refill would be 30 minutes, but actually close to an hour, is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I figured since i work right down the street, why not? I usually go to the Sharp Rees Pharmacy in downtown, which is completely out of my way, but the service has been friendly and quick. This pharmacy sucks! I don’t know what’s worse?! This place or the DMV?! Ooohhh, that’s a tough one.

So I went to Sharp Rees-​Stealy like 3 times the past 5 days and all I got from them was stress. In the beginning of my week, I thought I just had the common cold with headaches, but when the headaches got more severe I realized I should go to the hospital. So I started off going to the Sharp located in Activity Rd and I told the doctor how everything on the left side of my head/​face/​neck is hurting, and the doctor assumed I had an infection. He said I had a sinus infection and when I take antibiotics, the headaches will go away. Keep in mind… I told the doctor about the back left side of my head. *This is the punch line in the end*
The Next Day…
HOLY MOLY my headaches are pulsating like no other. I’m nauseous, I had to walk slow. and I AM PUKING. This is when I went to the ER at Frost St (thank you roommates for taking me). When I finally get to the bed in my patient gown, the ER doctor asked me what I have.
Random Fact:
This is really funny stuff. Have you noticed that any hospital you go to, you have to repeat what you have to every person you run into? You see them writing it down… do they not share their notes to the other doctors?

I tell the fool the same stuff but in much more detail. The back of my left head, left ear, left neck, left jaw. This fool is just standing there all casual while im laying in the bed thinking I’m in good hands. He then looks in my ears my nose my mouth and says «Yup just keep taking the meds that you have now. It may be viral but this is something you just have to deal with.» He hooks me up with Vicodin. I just put on a gown, I’m waiting to be fully inspected and he just did a typical check up, no scrutiny. I did not feel like this mutha frick spent enough time to look at me. this is the ER too! ER = expensive.
So I’m back at home now, I told my roommate about the back left side of my head and guess what she did? COMMON SENSE told her to look at the back of my left head and she found shingles, which is a 2^nd stage of chickenpox. So I’m pissed now, I told them everything I can think of, they did not address them. All they had to do was LOOK at the back of my head. LAZY fools…
Next day. I went back to the Sharp facility on Activity Rd and I went to the doctor. I said «LOOK at the BACK of my HEAD foo! I have shingles don’t I?» And now they looked and agreed with me.
I’m sorry for how verbose this review is, but I’m typing with a passion here. Bottom line is. DO NOT go to Sharp Rees Stealy
