History

Established in 1987.

Carol Shamon Freitas, the owner, was a model herself and wanted to protect up-​and-​coming talent from less than reputable agents and managers. The agency was conceived of and remains a booking agency. Shamon Freitas Agency is not a school and does not take photographs. The agency prides itself on fairness, honesty and integrity. Although based in San Diego, Shamon Freitas models and actors can be seen throughout the world on television, film, and in print.

Carol is the creator and owner of Shamon Freitas Agency since 1987. She graduated with a degree in Education from the University of Northern Colorado. After moving to San Diego she became involved in the modeling business. Witnessing all the scam and misinformation in the business she opened a consulting business to help talent avoid being taking advantage of and lead them to the reputable classes, photographers and agents. She soon decided to open her own talent agency and the rest is history. She has aided many models, actors and voice over talent in their successful careers. «I love my job.
