Meet the Business Owner

Anilee G.

Business Owner

Fueled by a passion for hot rods, custom chops, booze, babes, and punk rock bands, The ShakeDown SD has been a local favorite among the raucous, rowdy, and restless of Southern California since its conception in 2010. This summer the bar and venue celebrates a change of ownership, welcoming Anilee Griffin to the throne.

For the North County native, taking over The ShakeDown is nothing short of a dream come true. And with fourteen years in the bar industry and six years in the music industry (as the head of BossLady Booking), Anilee is well-prepared to blow the roof off the local rock n’ roll scene.

Populated by San Diego’s thriving counterculture of punk rock aficionados, motorheads and boozehounds, The ShakeDown is sure to satiate your appetite for all things devilish and debaucherous– from weekly hot rod barbecues, appreciation nights for fellow bar-staff and local strippers, and good old fashioned rock n’ roll shows.
