Definitely the worst $ 11 burger I’ve ever had. I wish I had remembered to check Unilocal!prior to going. The burger was dry and tasteless. There was bacon on it but even that didn’t help it. I asked for no lettuce, onion, or tomato, but add their shack aioli. It still had lettuce and barely any sauce. I actually thought the sauce was mayo. They don’t do much to the mayo to make it aoili. The fries didn’t help the cause. I thought they were supposed to be herb fries but also were bland.

Good burger(had the Del Mar) with fresh toppings, hot fries, fast service. Would have again without hesitation.

Super disappointing. Burger was dry and very overcooked. It was surprisingly small for a «1÷3 pound». The fries were good but they did not salvage the meal. I can’t believe I walked across the airport to find this place while passing up on Jack in the Box.

The sliders weren’t bad. Their sauce is delicious, only a very small amount on the sliders. Needed about triple. The fries were supposed to be herb fries, just regular. They also had on the menu this hand pressed lemonade, sounds delicious. They don’t offer it anymore(hint, take it off the menu).

Twenty minute wait for an over cooked mediocre burger. Just awful. And slow. And for 15 bucks you’d expect significantly more

Dried out little burger patty, not worth the 11 bucks. Fries were supposed to to be herb coated but we’re just plain old fries. Wish I had gone with Saffron chicken next door.

Dry overcooked burgers. One of the worst I’ve had. Fries are just barely acceptable. There was no tomatoes on the burger. They have a good reputation — don’t know why.

Had the egg platter this morning and was pleasantly surprised. Pretty good food and nice staff.

Located in the food court at terminal two. The fries were good and crispy but the burger was overlooked and the toppings were similarly bad.

Just right for a meal to take on the plane. My wife had a Turkey Burger and I had a Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Both were good.

Not bad compared to the other choices at the airport. I tried the Balboa Park Burger(avocado and tomato), and it was pretty edible once your own condiments on it — I went with mayonnaise. The burger was priced to include fries, and I didn’t see an option to order the burger alone. If that option exists, then this place deserves another star, but I was left under the impression that it does not.

This location was in the airport. Had sliders here. Meat quality was good, lettuce was fresh, and the bun was nice. Fries were cooked perfectly but a little bland. Overall good experience

Ordered the Coronado burger with fries. Staff was not friendly, unreceptive and food was poorly prepared. Fries were not great and there were no fresh herbs on them. Would not recommend them. Try somewhere else

As far as airport fast food eateries are concerned, this place is actually not bad. I am on a lunch flight and yet my wife and I wanted to have a light bite before boarding. They prepared my chicken well done per my request. Fries were excellent. I’d come back.

It’s airport food people. I travel for a living. This is the best sandwich I’ve had in an airport yet. Could I make it at home? Yes and I will. The east county sandwich is amazing. If it had bacon it would be a staple. Ciabatta smoked turkey avocado aoli Gouda cheese. Badass. Ladies were nice. Looked like they were having a rough day. I asked how she was doing. Instantly great mood. They deal with jerks everyday all day. Be nice to them. The fries were badass. Put ketchup and mayo on them like the food trucks in Atlanta. You’ll thank me later. They also put onions on them. This place doesn’t. Good stuff have a great flight

Burger was pretty underwhelming. If felt I was eating a burger made from a frozen paddy you can get at any supermarket but paying the price of two shake shack burgers. The only redeeming part of the meal were the fries. I felt they were decent so I gave it an extra star. Also found it funny that they charged $ 1 more to swap your fries for onion rings with your burger when they charge 20 cents more for onion rings when you order them as a side.

The Hipster of Burger Joints This place tours itself as goodness and wholesomeness. But that’s about the extent of their depth. I found them on the San Diego airport’s food guide and I bought into the all-natural aspect. Plus a 1/3-pound burger with«jalapeño bacon» sounded delicious. But the whole meal was bait-and-switch. The menu at the shop leaves off the«jalapeño» part, and the register woman gave me a blank stare when I asked. Strike One. Then she asked if I wanted fries — you know, the«herb-seasoned fries» that COMEWITHYOURORDER. Why yes, please give me those(«well, some people don’t want them», she said*). Then I asked about a black-and-white milkshake. Hello — ordering from Mars here, obviously. Could only get vanilla OR chocolate. Then I get my meal — and the fries have NOTHING on them. Nada. No herbs, no herb-like substances, nothing to suggest they were ever in the proximity of herbs. When I asked, the cook gave me the hairy eyeball and literally threw 8 rosemary leaves on the fries. «Some people don’t want the herbs,» she told me* And the burger? 1⁄3 pound must have been its frozen weight including the box. I’ve had better at company picnics. At least the shake was good — but not worth $ 5. Avoid this place. *if people don’t want these things, they’ll TELL you; you don’t assume this.

Upon returning home we found ourselves trapped in Terminal 2 with the following options Qdoba, Red Mango, Seaside Shack and two other options. Quite frankly after surveying the options I wished we had more time before getting to the airport. I finally relented and decided to try the shack. They state that all the ingredients are natural and the fresh. The cashier front manager? was hard to understand and really didn’t do much to explain or promote the shack. The burgers sliders chicken sandwiches and salads. Some of the burgers are also the same as sliders. They have San Diego themed names like Del Mar or Old Town. One Del Mar burger and an order of sliders with side of onion rings and bottle water and soda 36 dollars. I know I’m at the airport but I’m hopeful that the order will be worth it. Sadly it was not the case. My slider buns were not warm quite frankly cold. My wife’s burger on a brioche bun was warm and the ingredients looked fresh but the value is so play not there. The onions rings were good but nothing comes with anything. There are no signature sauces offered for all the items. Some other burgers come with aioli but trying to get something for the sliders or the onion rings is not user friendly. The packets of ketchup and mayo scream ‘don’t bother me’. The best advice is get to Rubios or In and Out or even the Habit before getting to the airport.

So mediocre. I ordered the Balboa burger and paid $ 11. It was literally the size of my fist. The burger itself was dry so I added a significant amount of ketchup, mustard and mayo to finish the burger. The Balboa came with two thin slices of avocado. To be fair this is a airport food venue so you really can’t expect much but wishing I decided to just eat at jack in the box instead. On a positive note, they give plenty of fries!
