The first thing that attracted me here was the smell when I walked by. Eventually I decided to give it a try. This place has some pretty delicious sandwiches with«healthy» characteristics and they use herbs in their spread. I usually order the steak and egg sandwich, which is large and expensive. The average college student can’t afford to have eat here every day. As it turns out, they can give you discounts, so I asked if they had a military one, and sure enough, the did! The next day, a different person was cashier and flat out said they don’t give discounts at all. Whether or not they do, it would be nice for some consistency. And if you’re thinking, none of what I mentioned really warrants such a low rating, then here it comes. On more than one occasion there was a specific guy working there who mishandled my food. When I was ordering on the left, he was cashier(on the right), handling money. Then, without putting gloves on, he came to his half of the prep bar and started handling my sandwich. His fingers were on my lettuce, meat and bread. That’s DISGUSTING! The basic rules of handling food is wash your hands before touching, especially after handling money or going to the bathroom, and use gloves. Is not an option, but a requirement. All other employees use gloves when handling food and seem to change out between cash and food. I’ve stopped going there, but still walk by because it is en route. Every time this guy has been there he has done the same. He finally started wearing ONE glove, but still goes from cash to food without changing or washing. He still works there and he still gets his fingers in between the bread. How did no one correct this, how does he still have a job and how do customers not notice? Another lawsuit waiting to happen. Gross!

The olive oil sandwich section is great, good service, really yummy sandwiches. I decided to try to pizza part of it and the service was terrible. The lady working there left off the majority of the toppings that are supposed to come on my pizza, making it very bland. I was supposed to have avocado, bleu cheese, tomatoes, bacon, chicken, and more and my pizza came out with only chicken(which was not good) and one piece of tomato. Giving it 4 stars just because the sandwiches are so good, but if I were just rating the pizza I would give it 1.

It’s way too expensive. $ 8 for a vegetarian sandwich and $ 9 if you add meat. They are cheaper if you make the sandwich into a salad: $ 4 small $ 6 with meat. Also, it’s the cleanest and healthier places on campus for salads. The people are great, wonderful and hardworking. I understand that they’re trying to make ends meet with the rent and all, but the prices are way to high for college students. You can get a whole meal at The Cheesecake Factory for $ 9 bucks. Hope their rent goes down so prices due as well.

Can I be honest ? Sandwiches are good provided that they consistently fill them up with the ingredients written in the menu, which happens 50% of the time. Since there are a lot of students coming for lunch, too much attention is not brought to the preparation of the food. And sandwiches are pricy. However, they are nice, smiling, keeping the appearances clean. Today, I was upset that, one more time, I didn’t have the expected sandwich. So, this time, I decided to stand up for my missing ingredients ! The owner recognized the mistake, which was fair, but quicky stuffed the 2 missing items between and on the top of the already cooked sandwich. I hence felt that I was bothering her, since so many people were waiting in line. The good move would have been to make the sandwich again, as I didn’t pay for that approximation. The last time I’m coming there, for sure.

I really like the sandwiches here. They’re full of veggies and tastiness. The staff is friendly and quick. The only thing that takes a while is the toasting of the sandwiches because they make them to order… except during the school year lunch rush when they have a bunch of the more popular sandwiches ready to go to speed up the line, which is great. I would give them 5 stars if it were just a little cheaper. It’s not expensive, but since it’s on campus, I want a full meal under $ 10 and it’s a bit over with chips and a drink there.
