This campus is great. I’m here for a meeting and the rooms for classes are great. New building is great.
I’m looking to taking classes here. Closer to home for ECC classes. Close to lots of restaurant

Really nice new building! Great computers… and the classes are FREE! I like the huge glass windows that can be opened. Lots of parking… only wish they had a coffee vendor :)

Very good instruction, up to date technology. The only thing this place needs is hand sanitizer during the winter to avoid the spreading of germs. Otherwise good quality instruction and computers. I am sure the new spot is even better! We need a building in North San Diego!

FREE CLASSES!
They are actually useful classes too. They offer a diverse range of class types at all times of the day. Anything from cooking classes to graphic design classes to web development to just about anything else computer-​related (and noncomputer related) you can think of. Look up the schedule online and check them out. You don’t have to be enrolled form the beginning of the class to take one, feel free to just drop in. Its all good the instructors are flexible and will work with your pace.

Really glad I discovered this place, thanks Internet… and this specific campus is right down the road from my home. After a short orientation I was placed on a class list. All that was left was to show up the first day, get enrolled and keep attendance at max. Winner!

It wasn’t professional at all from Chancellor of 6 Campuses of SDCCD (Mrs.Constance M. Carrol) to ignore my email since October 18 of 2011:
(see below). I had been in and out of at least 3 – 4 Campuses since 2001 – 2002. Computer classes + IMCP are free, but it doesn’t mean that instructors and manag-​t have a right to treat students the way they do. Professors are over there only to collect the salary NOT TO TEACH, and they still are getting their funding to build a new complex with several stories parking by requesting all the time to sign a enrollment paper. They should in stead get a in/​out punch cards to control stuff’s time spent not doing what they suppose to do first! In addition to it, they are trying to close the FINANCIAL AID in March of 2011 for all students who is on EDD, Disability or low-​income — who are taking a certificate program to make their life better! I guess it’s too much for instructors to file the weekly students’ reports of the presence/​absence, and students are not even aware of that !! JUST CHECK OUT the blog of one of

Good morning Mrs.C.Carroll!
I would like to find out if my mother’s (Nina Koltsova) and my (Tatyana Vogel) financial aid will be dispersed by March of 2012 in spite of our instructors’ (Will Olmstead and Jane Newcome) releasing students15 minutes early every day? I would also like to know why all my phone calls to the Financial Aid Office were ignored? From the beginning of the semester I have tried to contact them and have left several messages. Now several weeks later after my mother and I submitted by mail the required documents, they defaulted once again by not mentioning to us that we also needed to submit our instructors’ signature? Just because their computers don’t allow them to enter signed by October 1^st all of our paper work. Why did they ask us to resign all documents by today’s day — October 18? My mom and I can’t afford to wait for the first check to come by the end of December. If all 4 disbursements depend on amount of accomplished hours at certain Program, why do we have to wait? Our first 220 hrs will be accomplished before Thanksgiving break (November 17, 2011)? Also why Financial Aid doesn’t combine our all certificate hours to make us to be eligible to 900 not just 825hrs of IMCP to get the max out of the financial benefits? Beside IMCP my mom and I are currently attending Web Design Certificate Program with Emily Kay, Web Design with Tony Renier and Photoshop+InDesign with Don Grady.
Why some students are allowed to keep repeating same Certificate program like IMCP for several years after successful accomplishing, and we had to wait for years to get in?
Why all our students feel like Mr.W.Olmstead isn’t teaching us and he allows to snap, yell and degrade students?
Last and not least why a night duty maintenance guy is more concerned about kicking students out before the end of the class leaving all the time bathroom dirty for morning/​afternoon shift and wasting his time sitting outside?
Who is responsible for an outside lights at North Campus, and why they stay turn on sometimes in afternoon, but when night comes the parking lot is dark? That’s why people end up hitting each other’s cars.
Why did I end up missing almost 2 hours of my IMCP classes waiting until 9 am for a counselor (Linda Reese) to come to work after I filed a written complaint to a school Principal? Why are clerks using their work time to discuss over the phone their family affairs during the work hours?
As well as why Richie Mitchell (office Mgr at North City Campus) gave me incorrect contact info of yours and President of Continue Education?
Also I would like to ask you who is financing Continuing Education and who is going to be above your position?

+ I am pretty savvy when it comes to the products I took the classes for and I am really pleased with the instructors — they know their stuff.

* There are a lot of old people but the instructors keep good place and stick to their lesson plans. I like that they don’t make everyone wait.

I think it’s wonderful this type of resource still exists in these trying times. I was doing an internet search for computer classes in the SD area. Much to my surprise I discovered free computer classes taught here! Unfortunately I only got there a few mins before class started so I was left w/​out a seat as well as a bunch of others lined up near the doorway. Had to leave after standing for 30 mins. Too bad, I really had my heart set on taking this class but I need my space and tend to get claustrophobic easily.

The best secret in San Diego. Not a lot of people are aware this great treasure in our finest city. I have taken various classes here and they are amazingly all free or very low cost. Some of the instructors have a wealth of knowledge and love for the subject they are teaching. I am taking some classes with Paul Richards and he is the BEST teacher. I love his sense of humor and his teaching style. Lynda Reeves is one of the counselors I have worked with and she is quite helpful.

Your class entitled, «Tai Chi for older adults» is so much more than I expected, having known nothing about the practice prior to registering last Fall. I’m presently in my second session and now understand why so many students in class have followed our instructor, «Leslie» for years. I recommend the class frequently — it’s once a week — no cost whatsoever — and Leslie is sooooo dedicated. She inspires the rest of us.

So, I recently have taken up photography and wanted to learn about using my new DSLR camera! (Shoot, I paid over $ 800 for it, I might want to be a pro at it!) I really wanted to take a class and was looking around San Diego! Then a friend of mine suggested I take a photography class here! I went to this school and really had a good time!
Yeah, it’s crazy! A GOOD TIME AT SCHOOL? I know! Never thought I would admit that! Plus, there are NO GRADES!
I never knew schools that offered free classes were available and you definitely gain a ton of knowledge! There are computer classes, cooking classes, accounting, and many more!
My suggestion if you are interested in taking classes is that you search through all the classes and whatever time the first day is, you show up about 45 mins earlier. These classes fill up quickly and sometimes have a capacity. Also, just a warning, the equipment is on the old side and sometimes doesn’t work but at least you are gaining knowledge! Who needs new stuff?
I can’t stop raving about this resource and hope alot of people take advantage of it!

Very good place to learn computer programs in a great environment. There are plenty of computers and classes so that all can benefit if they choose to do so. And the classes are free to county residents. I have taken many classes there and all have been great.

The Continuing Ed north city campus is a surprisingly good place both in terms of their computer labs equipment and the quality of the lectures. I took a few computer training seminars there, and I always felt so pleased with the classes and, most importantly, the fact that they were free.
