I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do my Botox. I’ve been coming here for years and Dr. Roher and Dr. Covington always do a great job. They’re both anesthesiologists so I figure if people trust them with their lives I can trust them with a couple forehead wrinkles. I’ve had some negative experiences elsewhere so it’s nice to have a place I really trust. Nice office and staff too.

I get headaches but not HEADACHES like my husband gets … they’re full blown, debilitating migraines. Botox is one of the treatments for migraines and it has worked well for him before. The problem has been getting in with an actual doctor to treat these (a local plastic surgeon was great at this but he’s booked up all the time) or trying to get a nurse practitioner to treat them properly (they’re reluctant because they’re not MDs).
Anyway, enter SDBotox which is run by actual MDs … they’re available, competent, and well-​trained, so my husband tried them out for the first time last week. Dr. Covington was confident, funny, and skilled, and injected the Botox exactly where it was needed. He’s an anesthesiologist so Botox is probably a walk in the park for him compared to other things he faces. He did a great job and this will be our go-​to place!

This guy is awesome. First time I’ve been in San Diego. All I can say is I’ll most definitely be back soon. Thank you.

I was super nervous to get anything done but I had a big birthday coming up and I really wanted to erase, or at least decrease, some of the wrinkles on my forehead and my crows feet. I did my research and decided to give SDBotox a try.
Dr. Roher answered all my questions and concerns and made sure I was comfortable before getting BOTOX.
It’s been a couple weeks and I love the results. My wrinkles are gone and my eyes look a little more open. I look better rested and more awake. A couple friends have even commented on how great I look.

Such a great find! I found out about Dr. Roher through a friend while spending time in California and I am beyond thankful. Dr. Roher was so nice and listen to what I wanted but also made some great suggestions to get an overall younger look without the typical Hollywood overdone look. I had lots of wrinkles around my eyes from bad sun/​eye protection and also lipstick lines on my top lip. My wrinkles are gone, my eyes look brighter and fresh and my lips even look fuller. Now I need to get my husband in there and I will absolutely recommend SDBOTOX to all my friends and family!

I can see why this place has such good Unilocal reviews. Dr. Roher does great work. He listened to what I wanted and made some recommendations of his own. I just wanted to get rid of some wrinkles on my forehead but Dr. Roher suggested we lift my eyebrows. I was a little skeptical but I’m glad I gave in. The lift is very subtle and makes my eyes just a little more open.
I look well rested. I’ve even gotten a couple compliments from people that don’t know what I did.
The whole process took maybe 10 minutes and the injections didn’t hurt as bad as I thought they would.
It still looks great a month latter. I was on the fence about getting it done, but I’m glad I took the plunge.

Amazing! Dr. Roher was efficient and precise! Highly recommend!!! This was my first visit to his office. I recently moved to SD from Boston. Previously, I had treatments done by my plastic surgeon in Boston. Dr. Roher was just as good and I will be back and tell all my friends!!! Reasonable pricing and up front! First, thank you for your reply/​comment to the review I posted in late 2013. I apologize that I had not seen your comments until literally now, as I do not actually log in to my Unilocal profile often from my computer. Most often I utilize the mobile app on my phone, and although logged in, it is not set to notify me with Unilocal updates, and I seldom navigate to my profile. Please forgive that my reply is so delayed.
Second, thank you for being accountable and acknowledging your hand in the unfortunate results.
I believed you at the time of my revisit when you told me that this had never happened in your administering Botox before my incident, as I still believe you now. I did not mean to imply that you were «shaken» or «seemingly… nervous» because you have experienced these results frequently. I meant to point to what I perceived as your… discomfort or perhaps awkwardness, for want of a better word, at the outcome and the resulting situation. Personally, I think any or all of those things (being shaken, nervous, uncomfortable, etc) are fairly human responses when faced with a completely unique and unfavorable outcome. I apologize if you feel my estimation of your demeanor was off base. It was my perception. At any rate, your kindness and empathy was not at all lost on me.
Correspondingly, as I hoped my comments at the beginning of my initial review might have implied, it was exactly that kindness and empathy (call it bedside manner, if you like) that had me reluctant to review and share my results. Ultimately I did write the review, and as I again mentioned in my initial review, not because I am looking to publicly shame you. To the contrary, actually– the review wasn’t about you as a person, or a physician, per se. It was about the outcome of a singular bad Botox incident I experienced. Like you, this was also my first and only bad outcome with Botox, only it happened to be me who walked around with it on my face for the next 2.5 months.
It was wrong of me to imply «inexperience» on your part as a Botox practitioner by pointing to the comments made by other Doctors found whilst researching this kind of outcome. I apologize for that. According to the stats you mentioned, you seem to have plenty of experience injecting Botox.
We both seem to agree that the Botox clearly drifted into an unwanted place causing unintended results.
Nonetheless, the outcome was the same. Ultimately, THAT, and nothing more was the reason for my review. To again direct you back to what I stated in my initial review, I feel it would be unfair to those who seek out service practitioners based on the positive experiences and recommendations of others to have kept this to myself. I certainly wouldn’t say I was «quick to tell the world» just because the outcome was bad (in fact, if you look at my other reviews, I dole out praise more often than criticism). I also won’t say I had «no intention of writing a positive review» even when the results were looking positive on Day 4. Frankly, at day 4, and especially the days before, the full effect of the treatment had yet to set in, and thusly I wouldn’t have even have been in a position yet to give thought one way or another to reviewing your services. I will say this tho: you’re right, it is the nature of your business that most patients, satisfied or no, are likely reticent in dolling reviews for cosmetic improvements. Until this review, I would have counted myself in that category as well, as I have never given a positive review to any physician or practitioner who has performed cosmetic procedures on me and with who’s work I was especially satisfied. Perhaps I should.
As an update to my actual review: since the injection you performed, I have not had Botox again. Not because I am put off by Botox– though I am admittedly nervous about going back under the needle again– but because I was pregnant with my husband’s and my first son by the time any top-​up could have taken place. It is only now that I am back in the market (in London) for Botox, and again, I will be turning to Unilocal and other review sources in hopes of finding an experienced practitioner.
Dr. Roher, given your confidence in your ability to «deliver beautiful results,» I’d consider giving it a second go with you if I were in San Diego. Seriously. I would. Mistakes, accidents and oddities happen. I knew going into what the risks were; I consented to taking them.
One last point, I apologize I didn’t mention the full refund in my review. Unilocal cut off the end of my review, which is why it terminates so abruptly. I very much appreciated that you were accountable, as helpful as you could be under the circumstances and refunded my payment. This speaks volumes of your character, in my opinion.

I have gotten Botox at another place in San Diego and once in Orange County, but I saw the best results with this place! Really friendly, easy going doctor. As expected the office was nice and clean, not overly fancy. It took me a while to get an appointment but I’d say definitely worth the wait.

I visit Dr. Roher routinely to get Palmer skin care products. The office is staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. Parking is a bit of a hassle in this area but they have a underground parking lot; don’t forget to validate…

Dr. Roher has been taking care of my botox for almost 2 years now and he always does a great job so I asked him what could be done about the dark circles under my eyes. They make me look as if I hadn’t had a good night’s sleep in weeks. I’ve tried various creams and even had a pretty aggressive skin peel but nothing really helped.
Dr. Roher took a look at the circles and said they were caused by shadows from the bags under my eyes. He said he could fix them with filler. Sure enough, no more circles. I walked out of the office a week ago and haven’t had them since! It was a little expensive ($ 500.00) but Dr. Roher said it’ll last about 9 months. I love it. WELL worth it.

I was the first patient to walk thru his door a few years ago. Best I’ve had. Tried others and always return here. Getting ready to make my next appt.

This is was my first time getting Botox so naturally I had some concerns in regards to the procedure. That is why I chose this location after getting recommendations, reading reviews, and doing my research. I am very glad I did. The front desk staff was very professional and pleasant. The wait was not long at all.
Dr. Roher was very knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. He did not try to sell anything and reviewed the procedure thoroughly. I will definitely return and will refer friends.
Try them out. You will not be disappointed. Do not waste your time on Groupons or other online deals. If you’re having someone stick a needle in your face the last thing you want to do save pennies by going to doctors that discount their services through Groupon.

I walked in and was greeted by the friendliest receptionist. Then Dr. Roher took great care of me and explained the whole process to me, easing my worries, being a first time customer. I will definitely return and recommend all of my friends to this place. 5 stars all the way!!!

This place is great! I’ve been getting Botox here for a little over 2 years now and I always love the results. I get the vertical lines between my eyebrows and the horizontal lines on my forehead. They really show my age. Nothing a couple of injections can’t fix though. Dr. Roher does a great job of getting rid of the wrinkles without making me look overdone. The last thing I need is to look like an overdone Hollywood actors. Getting in can be a little tricky because this place always seems so busy but it’s definitely worth the wait!

SD Botox was amazing, and the individuals working there were friendly and personable. I loved how comfortable they made me feel as I was a bit nervous going in. I am thrilled with the results and will be using them for every need.

My girlfriends & I have been wanting to get botox for a while now. I had a deep set frown line that bothered me so much. I noticed it in every single picture & have recently become extremely self conscience about it.
I finally decided to take action & started looking for a doctor. Going through Unilocal I found S.D. Botox and was very impressed by the reviews. My friend & I made an appointment for a consultation the same day.
It being my first time, I was a bit apprehensive & wasn’t sure what to expect. Good thing I had my friend with me & we were doing this together. Dr. Roher was great, he was very up front & honest. He told me that in order to achieve what I was looking for he would have to use filler because my line was so deep. Filler was a lot pricer than I initially intended on paying so I decided to hold off. My friend sat in the chair next & she ended up going with the botox. I appreciate that Dr. Roher didn’t try to sell me or push me into getting the filler, he simply gave me the facts & didn’t want me to be disappointed with the results.
After minutes of thinking about it & an OK from my hubby I decided to get the filler done. I also went ahead & got botox too, in order to help the underlying cause of the wrinkle, the muscle. I’m soooooooo happy that I did it! The filler gave immediate results & I couldn’t be happier. It’s been a week now & I’m so ecstatic with my results! My friends botox look fantastic & she is more than satisfied with the results. We can’t wait to go back & get more! We already have lots of friends that want to go see Dr. Roher. I work in the cosmetics industry & you can imagine how important it is to always look your best. I now feel a lot more confident & I owe it all to Dr. Roher. I will definitely be back & will recommend him to everyone I know.

I have always hated the deep line between my eyebrows… I think its ugly and gives people the impression that I’m always mad but I’m not even an angry person.
A friend turned me onto SDBotox and, seeing as I had nothing to loose, I called and made an appointment for a free consultation. Dr. Roher was great, he explained what he could do in complete detail. I wasn’t even expecting to get Botox the same day, but I really trusted him and decided to take the plunge. Now, I’m not saying it was pain free, but it actually didn’t hurt that bad (way less than I was expecting). The entire process took about 1 minute and consisted of 6 needle sticks.
The results: It’s been 1 week and I haven’t been able to frown for the past 2 days. I love not making that face lol. I look well rested and more importantly, I look and feel happier.
