SD Yacht Techs is San Diegos premier yacht repair and maintenance company, specializing in turn key operations for owners and Captains. We can manage top side details, compound wax, hull cleaning, and interior details. We also perform mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs and modifications. Electronics and entertainment systems, as well as water makers, satellite, stabilizers, thrusters, low light and night vision cameras, and underwater lights are also part of what we do. Project management and warranty recovery for new boat owners is a favorite of ours as we can normally save the owner more than our cost. We also work with one of the top yacht brokers in Southern California and Baja Sur and can prep your vessel for brokerage, assist you with the sale, or complete survey hit lists in order to help you make a successful and profitable sale. We also offer delivery and retrieval services for any type of vessel. Power or sail, yacht or dinghy, we are insured and licensed and ready.

History

Established in 2010.

We started SD Yacht Techs after spending 25 years in the industry, the last 12 years in San Diego. We found a void for a service like ours based on our experience as captains and operators. Timeliness, thoroughness, and a commitment to completion are critical in our industry, but lacking in most services. Unlike most of out competitors, we value your business. We don’t feel like we are doing you a favor by serving you, we appreciate the oppotunity to be of service. Also, we tailor custom programs so that you can have as much or as little input as you like. You can write one check a month for all of your services, you can get a monthly status report on your vessel (including tank levels, stores, etc). We do everything from change a light bulb to major refits. As a working Captain, Dive Instructor, and trained marine tech professional, I have dealt with almost all of it.
