SD Tattoo

I have been quoted as saying that I’d only let Mark Mahoney tattoo me… Well, that list has now been expanded to include Danny Pacheco at SD TATTOO. A friend in LA recommended SD TATTOO and it did not disappoint. Danny was a great collaborator from the start– and we did most of our collaboration over the phone, as I live out of state. I loved his black and gray worked posted on the shop’s website. Danny had great ideas and brought a true artist’s touch to the final product. He stayed late to finish a ¼ sleeve as I was leaving town a day later. Danny is super cool and really funny. Which was good as we spent about 6 hours together. I love the final product and would recommend SD TATTOO (and specifically Danny) to anyone.
The shop is cool and super clean. Staff was great and really friendly. I met the owner while waiting. Good dude and very welcoming. SD TATTOO felt great from the jump.

Today, Tommy did my tattoo. He did an amazing job. I was beyond my expectations the finish product is beautiful. I’m coming back to see Tommy for my next tattoo.

This is a great place to get a tattoo, everyone is kind and professional. Kim did my tattoo it’s amazing she is such a great artist I will get more work from her.

We were in California on vacation and I swung by to get a tattoo at SD Tattoo. As soon as I hit the door they were really friendly and helped me right away. I had Tommy Gunz, who is a fantastic tattoo artist and does a very excellent job. Tommy talks to you the whole time and you learn a lot about him and the shop. I would recommend to anyone in the San Diego area or anyone on vacation in the area that wants a tattoo go there first. I was very happy with my overall piece and they are decently priced. It’s nice that there are tattoo shops like SD tattoo around.

Hey … LOVED this place so much and the people and the work came back!
Brought my 18 year old who had commissioned art work for the tattoo and this time we had Danny.
Can I just say the guy is amazing to watch work !! It is not completely done but we had to give a shout out to Danny for what is done. Really good guy!
We got to the shop at about 6:30pm on Friday 4÷20÷16 … let me tell you it was a long night but well worth it! This one is a 2 session tat.
My kid is very, very pleased with it … stated on the way home at 1:30 in the morning Saturday 11 out 10 DOING IT AGAIN (and not just because it needs to be finished) !!!

All I can say is a week after having my own piece done by Ronnie loved the place enough to bring my kid in … REALLY need to check out SD Tattoo the people and art work coming out of this place is top notch.

One word!!! «Dee!» Let me just start off by saying that this man is the epitome of incredible, he’s extremely easy on the eyes haha… I went to him today about 20 minutes ago actually for a nipple piercing he was empathetic, sweet, calm and very professional, I was very nervous at first no doubt but this man will definitely calm your nerves down and get you through it like a piece of cake thank you Dee you are awesome!

Love the vibe in this tattoo shop! Everyone is so nice! I got a tattoo for Friday the 13^th but a custom one and I love it! Corie Is the man to go see! But all the tattoo artist do a good job. Dee pierced my nose and did such a great job. Happy client will be returning :).

OMG I am one happy customer. This place is amazing. I went in there knowing I would come out of there with a good tattoo by seeing all their work, but what blew my mind was the customer service. I was so pleased I almost hugged him. If ever you need a bomb ass tat done. hit up jslim and he will hook u up right.

Recently had some work done by Tommy Gunz, he over exceeded my expectations. I’m in love with the owl piece and I can’t wait to go back for the finishing touches.

I’m from Las Vegas and decided to spontaneously get my first tattoo at around 9pm. I decided that SD Tattoo was the best choice with all the great reviews and being that they’re open til midnight. My boyfriend and I went not really knowing what to expect. The location could’ve been better but once inside, everyone was welcoming and helpful. Once Tommy drew up my tat, I knew I had to have it. With it being my first tat, I was a little nervous but he made me feel very comfortable. Thank you so much SD Tattoo. My first tattoo is one for the books and now, it won’t be my last.

In the midst of getting away from LA for a couple of days and visiting my best friend in town I wound up at SD tattoo inquiring about covering up a tattoo that I had been meaning to cover up for a while now. I went to the shop knowing that I wanted a rose but I wasn’t sure what else I wanted to add. Mark aka Mark$alot took my ideas, mixed in his and conjured up an incredible piece that I absolutely love.
I was on a time crunch the day we started so he finished this piece in two days, back to back. Not only is Mark an amazing artist but he’s super chill and funny! He made me feel super comfortable when I was at the point of tapping out that I was laughing instead of crying in pain. He’s very professional and super clean. I love my tattoo. Thank you Mark!

I got my first tattoo here by tommy and I highly recommend it. Everyone is friendly and everything is clean and safe. I love my tattoo!

Late Post this was done back in January. Walked in one night at the spur of the moment. Been wanting to get new ink for a while. Tommy was my artist and he did an amazing job. I walked in with a drawing I did and he messed with it and made it 10000x better. He did and amazing job and I definitely will be going back before I leave SD next month.

Just got tattooed like a little over an hour ago and I am so pleased with my tattoo! Absolutely love love love it I’m so glad I came across this shop on here, the store was very clean and i really liked that it was very quiet and in a lowkey place. Got tattooed by Ronaldo, and he did an amazing job! Tattoo is very clean and he started slow so I could get a feel for it.

Found them on google, and I’m so glad I did. The place was very neat and clean. The guys working were so attentive as I waited for my artist to be done with his other client. Tommy Gunz was my guy and let me tell u, he did an amazing job. He did more than I was expecting. I’m definitely coming here for my next tattoo and recommending this place to all of my friends.

I would totally recommend this place to anyone it’s clean and they are all very nice, and accommodating to nervous newbies like myself. Corie did a beautiful garter tattoo for me and I love it. It’s not finished yet, but it already looks great. I can’t wait see the finished product when I go back to add the color!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE SD TATTOO. Real shit. This place is clean and the hospitality/​customer service, I’ve never found at other tattoo shops here in San Diego.
Rewind to April 2015. I was on Unilocal and saw some reviews about Danny Pacheco. About a month later, I saw some work by him on instagram. So I stalked lol. Emailed him, got a response. Then life happened and the tattoo I’ve wanted just never happened.
Come back to 2016, new year, new start. I said ok, it’s time for the tattoo. I emailed him last week, got a response. Went in on Monday for a consultation and put a deposit down. Finally, today I got my tattoo. I am so happy with it and I absolutely LOVE it. The wait was well worth it and I’m glad that he was able to be the one to do it. Everyone at the shop was so welcoming and talked to you like family. They are also funny and had me cracking the hell up the entire time. I will be back and I will tell EVERYONE about this shop and Danny. Come here, seriously… you won’t regret it.

This tattoo shop is super clean and the people are extremely nice, especially for this particular industry. I’ve been to a lot of shops and the people working are always assholes and seem like they just don’t care. Danny is my artist and I’ll never go anywhere else after finding him. His artwork is original and my tattoos always come out way better than expected. The realism this guy can do is insane. Super friendly guy as well, he never makes it awkward or uncomfortably which helps a lot! All in all this an awesome shop, definitely recommend trying them out!

Slim gave me an awesome tattoo that I LOVE! I had the image already, but together we made it our own. He took the time to make sure it was in just the right place, so the placement is absolutely PERFECT. He was efficient, attentive, and friendly. The area was a sensitive one but he was gentle. No complaints whatsoever.
The location is great. Little to no foot traffic so the artists can focus on their work. Thank you SD Tattoo!

What can I say that hasn’t already been said. I’ve been to many a shop and I am so pleased with SD Tattoo. Slim is my artist and always will be. His line work and attention to detail is amazing! Not to mention his personality. He is so nice and super funny. I have referred all of my friends to him and they too have said nothing but AMAZING things about him. If you are looking for a quality shop and stellar work, look no further than Slim at SD Tattoo. You will be so happy you did.

I recommend setting an appointment with Kim Rubi. She is by far the most amazing tattoo artist! She definitely killed it. tell her what you want and she will hook you up. I’m coming back for more from Kim! :)

This shop is awesome! They’re super friendly and all about the customer! My tattoo artist was slim and he did an amazing job on my tattoo. He fit me into his busy schedule after I had gotten the run around from a different tattoo shop… I highly recommend getting a tattoo here.

I’m honestly super happy with Kim’s hard work with me. She’s always worked around my budget, around my availability & she’s always done such a good job with all of my body tattoos. Kim never fails to keep me excited with finishing my body art! My next appointment with her is this Friday & I’m so damn ecstatic, I can’t wait to see the next session of my piece.

Having someone chill that can talk to you, make you feel comfortable during the couple of hours you’re getting tatted + work around something that’s affordable for you for some art work is pretty great!!! This place is good and out a lot of detail in their work. Have only gotten work done by Kim rubi but what she can do still amazes me. I have had her Do all my tattoos including my girls and they all came out just as good or better than I expected. Give these guys a shot at doing your next tattoo or first!

First timers are made to feel welcome here. Very relaxed environment. SLIM looked at my ideas and made some helpful suggestions. He took time to explain what to expect and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I LOVE my tattoo. Overall a very good experience.

Once again, had an awesome experience. Slim took my idea and turned her into one badass looking zombie! Used so many colors and made them all pop! I am soooo STOKED about this new tattoo, I can’t wait to get in for my next idea.

There is no better choice for a tattoo studio than SD Tattoo. Staring at the basics:

The good news is it ensures an environment that lets the artists focus fully and completely on the work, rather than having to answer a constant barrage of foot traffic looking for cookie cutter tattoos off a selection board on the wall.
* Cleanliness: This shop is immaculately clean — floors, work surfaces, walls, windows, the whole thing. From set up to aftercare and clean up, the artists take every precaution to ensure that their work surfaces, tools, and equipment are pristine. I watched Buttah, my tattoo artist, and one of the shop’s interns roll though multiple pairs of gloves just during the set up for my tattoo.
* Environment: Unlike MANY tattoo shops, there are no pre-​set designs on the wall. Instead, you are greeted by clean walls, leather couches, and a scrubbed clean shop free of the chaos in many shops.
* Talented: Far and away, the most amazing thing about this shop is the talent of the artists that work here. Their creativity, the ability to take your mental picture and make it an incredible reality, are unmatched. It takes incredible attention to detail to create a work of art on someone’s skin, as well as a highly honed artistic ability. The artists in this shop live and breathe this artform, and it shows in every piece they create. There are no templates or stenciled designs here. You don’t pick a piece of off a wall of childish cartoons. Each piece is a custom creation, worked in exquisite detail. These are artists, and they are phenomenally talented.

Got my first tat today from BEAN. Dudes legit, didn’t have me in the chair just as some other customer. Took time to research my tat, take in what I did and didn’t want and gave me exactly what I wanted. Dude made a real connection between artist and client. The rest of the staff were great for boosting my confidence kept walking in and reassuring that it looked good and I was doing great.
I’m planning on finishing it and getting two more different tat’s and its def going to be with BEANS at SD TATTOO

I have been to a few tattoo shops but never returned then I went to SD Tattoo and I will forever be getting my tattoos from there. Bean is my tattoo artist he always draws up what I’m envisioning but can’t explain and it comes out amazing!!! Thanks to my brother for recommending this tattoo parlor it’s my go to place =)

SD Tattoo is THE best! I’ve gone to a few tattoo shops in San Diego, and this one has by far, been the greatest. The environment is nice, clean and everyone is friendly. I went to Bean to get a rose and my daughters name. He did exactly what I wanted! I always get compliments on how amazing it looks… I love it! I’d definitely recommend this shop to friends and anyone else looking to get a new tattoo. These guys are true artist! I’ll be heading back this weekend to add on some more ink!
