DO NOT TAKE YOUR IPHONE FOR SCREEN REPAIR. Dont make the same mistake I did in assuming that Apple will be more expensive — Apple was actually cheaper by $ 40 to fix my 6 plus. And to add insult to injury, I had to take it back to SD Fix it 3x before they admitted that they weren’t confident that they could really fix my phone. Go to your nearest Apple Store to fix your cracked screen.

DON’T GET YOUR PHONE FIXED HERE!!! They «fixed» my iPhone 6 after it was cracked, when i got the phone back from them there was blue marks on the screen, i then went back a 2^nd time and they did not properly install it, then i went back a 3^rd time, all with in 24 hours. thinking it was «fixed» after the 3^rd time, i went out of town and have my phone completely shut down after a faulty screen. Leaving me to go buy a new phone.):
Please do not get your phones fixed here its a waste of your time a money. they will scam you! the products are not certified apple products and will leave your phones damaged, its not worth the $ 95.

I would image this place to either only be a one star place or a five star place, and for me… IT WAS A FIVE STAR!
I had the unfortunate experience today of having my cell phone drop today and when it dropped… it picked up some spiderwebs on the screen (aka it cracked!)
I did a quick search and asked a bunch of places for quotes on getting my iPhone 6 front screen fixed. I called all around and John at SD Fix It was the one who quoted me at a reasonable price in the same range as all the other people I spoke to. I came in and got it fixed, and seriously within 20 minutes, the screen was replaced and I basically had a brand new phone!
The guys here are young, but they know what they are doing and my phone is happy again, which makes me happy. Victor was the one who did the service and labor on my phone and I’m glad to say that I will be happy to come again if anything happens to my baby.

SDFixit is the only way to go when you need to get your iPhone or cell phone fixed! We have had many phones from Iphone 4, 5, 5s, 6 and samsung devices fixed over the years! Great Service & Customer Skills! Always willing to go the extra mile to satisfy the customer!

They recycled my new kindle without notification. That should be illegal. Im so sick right now.

Bad work and even worse attitude.
We went to the one on Koby’s Swap Meet to have an iPad screen replaced. They said they would be done in an hour but when we returned to pick it up, they obviously hadn’t even started. So we waited another half an hour. When we returned the second time, the home button didn’t work so that needed an additional few minutes.
Two days later the home button was malfunctioning again. Back to the Swap Meet and they told us it would take an hour. Seems to be the standard answer. When we returned to pick up the iPad, my husband, just to be sure, asked if everything would be working fine (because returning and waiting is a hassle) and the answer he got was: «Well, you only paid $ 90» Seriously?
If this is their work and attitude, we would have preferred an honest «$ 90 is not good enough for professional work, it’s going to be a hit and miss for your iPad.» right from the beginning.

If I could rate NO STARS, I would!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and LIARS!!! WEASLES!!! I took my Samsung phone in to repair a cracked screen (now wishing I had just bought a new phone!) All seemed normal… They repaired the cracked screen, but the screen seemed to have an air pocket underneath and there were «touch screen» issues that when I called I was told to restart it and see if the issues worked themselves out. After making it through the hectic holidays without a fully consistent functioning touch screen, I took my phone back to have that issue repaired. When the man who greeted me saw a note on my file that I had called regarding this issue (within the warranty period), he said that they would go ahead and fix it, even though my 30 days was past. I was told to come back before 6 that night, which I did. When I returned for my phone that night, I was told that they were unable to fix it then, as they needed to order a part. They gave me my poorly functioning phone back and said they would call me when the part was in. Unfortunately, two weeks later, still waiting for that call, I fumbled my phone and the screen cracked when it landed on my knee — from a distance of about 12 inches. I am thinking the air bubble under the screen compromised the integrity of the glass. I took my phone back in, and before I even told them that I had re-​cracked my screen, the girl up front told me that she had been trying to call me and leaving messages for weeks and that they gave my part to someone else. FIRST LIE! There is NO way she left any messages on any of our phones. So she then changed her story to say that she actually wasn’t able to leave a message because it said the «circuits were busy or something». Well, if that WAS the case, I am sure the circuits weren’t busy for 2 weeks! Anyway… I will try and make a long story short… She brought out a manager or owner or somebody who had not even had any involvement with my prior service and he right off the bat started telling me what his employees told me about how this other part was damaged when I dropped the phone the first time and that it would cost me more to fix it. Hmmm –HE WASN’T THERE and has no idea what they told me. Then the gal up front began telling MORE lies about what she supposedly told me (etc. etc.) — my husband was there to verify she NEVER said what she was trying to say she did in order to save her butt. She finally did admit that she had told me they would fix my phone touch screen issues under warranty — the manager/​owner was standing right there as she said this, but when I asked what he was going to do for me his reply was that it was «out of warranty» — REALLY? I was WAITING for THEM
to call me to tell me that the part was in to fix my phone! I at this point want my money back because they did NOT EVER FULLY fix my phone the first time when I brought it in.
I should have looked on Unilocal BEFORE I went in and trusted that they would fix my phone!

I love this place! We have brought all our phones to them. They are fast, affordable, and very professional! The guy that helped us out today fixed my iPhone 6 today for a great price.

I would give zero stars but ot an option. Don’t waste your time or money. Had iPad screen replaced at Swap Meet and within a few weeks it cracked and was worse than it had been over 3+ yrs. Took it back to main store because employee at swap meet told me to return if there were problems and the manager insisted I dropped it and it was my fault. Neither was the case. Cheap glass or poor technicians. Too bad so many complaints and they’re still in business.

They would fix it for free under 30 day warranty but it was a huge hassle to go drop my phone off for hora every week! It had never popped off before they «fixed» my shattered screen and I’ve never even heard of that being a common problem. When my 30 day warranty was up and it popped off again (obviously, because they’re incompetent) they said it was permanently damaged and they couldn’t pop it back in without replacing my whole screen (???) Ultimately, my phone ended up shattering because the screen was popped off and the phone case couldn’t protect it. Do not waste your time, money and phone’s future!
Also, if you do plan on going there and they try to scam you which I saw them do to two customers before me, just threaten to talk to whoever is above the general manager because he will comply IMMEDIATELY after you ask to speak to them. They are SUCH a scam!

UPDATE: After taking my phone to be fixed by ACTUAL professionals (I’ll be nice and not name but I used Unilocal) they showed me how the part that ‘SD Fix it’ put on was refurbished, extremely flimsy and collapsed in his hand. For anyone that doesn’t know, a refurbished part means they are used from other people’s phones! On top of that, they don’t use Apple certified screens and use fake ones that can be bought online for 99 cents, yet charge you $ 100. TOTAL SCAM! Pay the extra $ 10 to go to a professional and avoid coming back to this dump every week.

They fixed my phone in literally 8 minutes and was only $ 85 when I called others that were trying to charge me at least $ 125. I hope I don’t break my phone again but if I do I will be back!

I’m extremely disappointed to say I received less than stellar service today.
While the girl was nice, she was not as helpful as the girls were last time.
My repaired phone screen is peeling off. I asked her if they can glue it back on and she said no. After prompting her, she checked with the technician and he apparently also said no. She claims its because I dropped the phone and the side panels that hold the screen onto it broke so it cannot be glued back on. Ok, I don’t know about these things, so I’ll take that as a loss on my part. Bummer.
BUT the problem is she wants to charge me $ 75 for a new screen. This after being a return customer who paid $ 55 just a few months ago. When I asked her if there’s anything she can do for me, she just said no and let me walk away.
I mean, I know prices go up, but $ 20? Especially after the last time when they gave me the swap meet price I was really hoping they would do the same thing. I mean, not even meet me in the middle and charge me $ 65? I wanted to give them the repeat business, after all. I understand with big corporations the employees can’t really do anything, but in a small business like this, especially after the last time I came, I thought they’d at least try.
Oh well, you win some you lose some, I guess.

Despite my 7 attempts to call and get a hold of someone I was let down. And the single time I was able to get an answer the customer service was very rude following my getting hung up on within 15 seconds of the call. If I could give a negative review, I really would. Took my business to JI Phone Repair in Escondido. Was not let down by their polite customer service and cheap same day phone repair.

Great service and quick repair. Dom is a master of his profession and I would recommend his service to anyone! mY IPHONE 6 now feels better than it ever did straight out of the factory. Good work and keep it up guys!

They weren’t helpful at all. In fact, they were down right rude. The price quoted to me was not what my bill came to. My phone stopped working again after a week. When I notified them of this, I was told they would call me back. After a few days of being given the run around, they stopped taking my calls altogether. I hope no one else gets taken in by these con artists.

These guys are so great!!! Yes they didn’t finish my screen on time but it only took a few more minutes and they were very polite while I was there. Even near the end when a very angry customer came in, they handled it as best they could and apologized to me for the incident. Overall they were fantastic and I would definitely use them again and suggest them to my friends.

NEVER AGAIN. So I never write bad reviews on Unilocal,its got to really be bad for me to take the time but I feel this is warranted.
I’ve had my iPhone 5 repaired here four times now. I’ve cracked my screen thanks to my butter fingers multiple times, and initially thought this place was great. My screen has come dislodged twice now from the internal phone (after having it newly repaired here) to where you can see the light coming thru the side. It happened when I dropped my phone lightly on carpet from my sofa (nothing where this would be warranted to dislodge from the phone kind of trauma) so I took it back in today because I figured they would just reattach the screen at no charge (should be a very easy fix)…
Oh no no. The girl that was awesome there, has apparently left and so they had new girls working there. The girl that I spoke to (tats all over) had the customer service skills of a caterpillar and I explained that this was the 4^th time I had been in and the screen kept coming dislodged from the body and that I didn’t feel like I should be responsible for paying to have it repaired correctly.
I could tell this was not going to happen as soon as I plead my case. She went in the back, and about 4 seconds later came back and said… All I could offer is a $ 5 discount. I again explained the screen was coming out with normal wear and tear and had never happened before having the phone repaired there.
Oh no no. There was not going to be any reasoning with this chick.
«I can take $ 5 off. That’s it»
Basically I ended up eating another $ 65 and asked the girl to have her manager call me. No call. (Kelly, I’m still waiting, call anytime) ;)
Please save your money and go elsewhere go somewhere where quality and taking care of your customers is a priority.

PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS NOT TO GO HERE, EVER! They butchered my I-​pad!
1. Do not do business with anyone who knows that they have a typo on their business card and does nothing about it. That is a direct reflection of the kind of work done!
2. Their shop reeked of pot smoke when I came to pick up my ipad. That brought up a 2^nd red flag because of the problems I was having with them.
3. These people are SHADY, including the 2 young women at front desk who scrambled to get their stories straight when I started asking specific questions about who works there etc.
I got suckered in by SD Fix It at the Quallcom Wed. swap meet, thinking my Ipad mini screen could be replaced correctly in an hour. 75 minutes later, I am told they «can’t fix it here and will take it back to the shop». One thing led to worse; I took it home for $ 95 the next day with visible gouges in the case, a different colored screen with a scratched up protector! PLUS I was told my ipad ‘had to be reset’. That took 24 hrs to redo.
The following week I returned it late Thurs. afternoon because I discovered my camera was disabled. Friday, after 2 phone calls to them, I got a ‘gut feeling’ that I’d made a poor decision and rushed back to rescue my ipad from the evil technician, but was too late. He’d already pried the screen off AND THEN LEFT because of an ‘emergency’ and didn’t finish the job!!! I had never even seen who was working on it. Something didn’t feel right, their website doesn’t jive with the store scene. The girls were covering up. I had to get a new Ipad.

Paid $ 55 for them to fix my shattered iPhone 5S screen and done under 20 minutes at the Del Mar Fair. The man running the booth, Kelly Chong, was nice and friendly and informed me that I would pay $ 55 there and if I would have gone to their store I would have to pay $ 75. He fixed the phone right in front of me and I saw the entire procedure. Everything was perfect but there is some dust on the inside of the screen. Not really noticeable but since I’ve seen it, I can’t «unsee» it, you know? Anyway, they get 4 stars from me! Everything was perfect… except the dust.

I changed my review to 2 stars. It’s now later in the evening since I had my screen fixed and now I’m having issues with the screen. When I tap to select something on my phone, it won’t select it. Then, I’ll double press my home button and it won’t let me click anything else. I can’t even swipe up to close the app, so I’m forced to restart the phone. This has happened so far 3 times. It was perfectly fine the first hour I was using it after getting home from the fair. When I restart the phone, the problem is fixed but after about 10 minutes of usage, it happens again. If I lock my phone again and leave it alone and unlock it again, it’s fine. ON TOP OF THAT, the screen was placed a little bit too high up and it blocks the front camera. In photos, you can see that it’s blocking it. I can’t stand this problem, I’m so upset. I’ll be visiting the actual store tomorrow to see what they can do. I’ll update the post again.

I’m writing this review for a friend because she can’t since her phone is currently being basically held hostage at this store. After cracking her phone screen last night, my friend and I decided to go to this store to get it repaired. When we arrived, we were greeted half heartily before the clerk told us she would be right with us. She took her time stocking phone cases on the wall before she came over to the counter to «help». She was silent the entire time, only asking for a name and phone number for my friend. We had to ask her about price and when it would be ready because she literally offered no information. She assured my friend it would be ready today, within an hour and took my phone number so she could call us when it was ready. We had to ask her to take my number because at first, she just said she would call my friend’s number, which obviously wouldn’t be helpful since we were dropping off her phone for repair. We had dropped the phone off just before 3 and when we still hadn’t gotten a call around 4:15, we went back to check if it was ready. What no one had told us, is that the store closes at 4 on Saturdays. No one was at the store, meaning it’s impossible for my friend to get her phone. They’re also closed on Sundays, so my friend will be without her phone until Monday at the earliest. We received terrible service from the start and the fact that no one told us the store would be closing an hour after we dropped off the phone was just irresponsible on their part. All in all, I wouldn’t waste my time going here again because clearly they’re not very committed to customer service.

I own an iPhone 5s and initially i met them at the thursday sunset market in oceanside. I went to have the aux plug in fixed and it worked perfectly in a little less than an hour! I’ve cracked my screen twice and I refuse to go to anyone else but SD fix it! I’ve made the drive to the Kerny Mesa location but I’m glad they’ve opened one in oceanside now too!

This places SUCKS they cant even fix a simple screen with out messing everything else in the phone up and then claim to fix it and have me sitting for hours in their stupid shop first it was my phones screen lock sensor that didnt work so i take that to get it fixed but they just broke my camera and im still having the same issues this place is terrible i do not recommend it, it sucks

Really low quality screen! when I spoke to the tech he didn’t sound too confident in what he was doing. Wasn’t too friendly at all either! I think that this guy goes around fixing phones and doesn’t really care about his 90-​day warranty!

Great work! Quoted 30 minutes and they delivered. iphone 5s screen replacement for $ 75. Wasn’t comfortable leaving my phone unlocked and they were super accomodating and tested functionality with me when I picked up my phone. They have a 30 day warranty in case something doesn’t work later on. Will refer friends and colleagues who need this service. Thank you!

I got my cell phone screen fixed while SD fix it was at the qualcomm swap meet. They told me it would take 45 minutes to fix. I was also told from another repair place that when fixing the type of phone that the screen as a tendency to lift. The technician assured me that it is attached to the back and hes never seen it lift, and also told me they have an actual store in clairemont and a 30 day warranty. so i decided to get it fixed, three hours later it was finally done without them being apologetic they they took two hours longer than expected. Three days later i had to return to the store because my screen was lifting. They glued the screen back then 7 days after they glued it it lifted again, because they are open the hours that i work and i already took time off to have them repair it the first time i decided to wait til Saturday to have them repair it or try to get my money back considering that I’ve had to get it fixed once before. On the Friday before i had them look at it i dropped my phone, because of the angle that i dropped it and the screen lifting a piece of the screen chipped. I went in on Saturday and they said they cant fix it under the warranty because i dropped my phone, but can charge me another fee to re glue it. DO NOT GO HERE THEY DO REALLY CRAPPY WORK!

Found this business at the Hillcrest Street Fair. Very friendly, professional and couteous service. Brought in my iphone for restoration. Very satisfied. Highly recommended for your smart phone repair/​maintenance needs.

I found the SD Fix It booth at the Swap meet but, they don’t accept credit cards there so I went and visited their store in Kearny Mesa.
My iPhone 5 was shattered badly. My home button had fallen out and exposed the inner mechanisms of the phone. Also, most of the glass was missing from the bottom area around the home button. I was able to get it fixed in less than 20 minutes, for $ 65! (Worker at the swap meet gave me a student discount)
I’m very happy with my phone now! The home button works perfectly and the glass looks exactly how it did when I first purchased the phone.
The man who fixed my phone, I think his name was Kelly??, talked me into getting a $ 10 tempered glass screen protector. Hopefully that prevents future damage.
All in all, very impressed with this place and the final product!
I would definitely recommend SD Fix it to anyone who has a cracked iPhone, and isn’t willing to pay full price at the Apple store for a new one, or an upgrade.

I learned about this place from one of the asian cultural festivals, they had a booth. I brought my iPad 2 in to get it fixed after several failed attempts to fix on my own =(half of the screen was not touch sensitive. The lady in the front was very friendly and answered all the when and how questions I had. One of the guys in the back even did a quick diagnosis and showed me what the possible problem was. I had to come back because they needed another guy to check if it was possible to fix. They followed up and said the original issue was fixed (magically?), but my camera had issues. I was thrilled that my ipad was useable again minus the camera but that’s ok. I had my sis pick it up. They didn’t charge me anything. I would bring my broken gadgets here because of their great service and I felt I could trust them.

Saw their van at the Mira mesa farmers market a few times and they said they fix tablets so I gave them mine. No receipt just honesty. They got my cover and plug in charger. They could not fix the tablet so my dad picked it up at their store not knowing there was a factory charger and a case. Months later I went to the store. The more was rude and said my things were gone and offered me a USB charger for my broken tablet and they couldn’t do anything about my case. Not going there again. I’ve got a new repair shop that’s honest and gives you a receipt in university city.

Guys did a great job. Best of all was the price. Hope I don’t need you again but if something happens I know where to go!

Super nice service iPad 3 screen for 90 and gave me deal on tempered glass screen protector. Although it was a costly mistake on my part I’m glad they fixed it with no hassle and best price in sd I found. Will come back for all my electronic fixing needs.

Sometimes I get upset with my electronics when they decide to defy my need for instant fulfillment of demands. After a Chargers playoff defeat, I was in no mood for defiance. So you know what I did? I THREW IT ON THE GROUND! Shattered the back screen and bent the frame slightly by the volume control buttons. I have a regular iPhone 4, and multiple times (about 3?) I have had the back screen replaced because of one of these attacks of frustration… at about $ 30 a pop usually…
Well, upon consulting Unilocal for a new repair shop, I came across SD Fix It, and decided to give them a shot. I was not disappointed. Conveniently located leas than two blocks away from the UPS shipping hub where I work, and about a block off of Clairemont Mesa Blvd, I stopped in on my way to work figuring it would take about 15 minutes and be about $ 30, as that’s what I thought the going rate was– since I’ve been through this a few times. Well, I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!! The advertised price was $ 20, and I guess there was a deal going on because I was only charged only $ 15. They even bent the frame back a little so it looks better, all under 7 minutes TOPS. I was even a couple minutes early for my early evening shift.
I have definitely found my iPhone (and potentially my other electronic) repair headquarters!
I was also very pleased with the customer service. Smiles and jokes made me feel welcome, and the speediness of the repair, along with the time and money saved…
