I’ve never been compelled to write a bad review about a company before, but there’s a first for everything. I paid for my $ 25 wash and sat down. Time kept passing and my car was nowhere to be seen. I just about went in to the counter to see where the delay was and I spotted it in the corner of the parking lot. No one announced my car was ready, so I wasted 50 minutes of my day, when it was probably ready for 20 – 25 minutes earlier I’m guessing. When I got to my car, both front doors had water spots and smudges. When I asked the man about it, he grabbed a rag, wiped it for a couple seconds and just walked away. Unpleasant experience all the way around. Waste of time, waste of money, and total lack of professionalism.

Love getting a car wash here, super close to where I live and from checking your car in to paying at the cashier, it’s always efficient and fast. Someone is always quick to help you and you aren’t left waiting. It’s hand car wash, which is really important for me because running through a machine scratches my delicate paint. Be on a look out for promotions too, they always have it!

Where should I start? From defrauding me by selling me a detail gift card that was misleading to a poor car wash which I paid 15.99 for. The wash was average and the vacuuming was terrible. However, I also purchased a $ 85 complete interior detail which was suppose to include shampooing the carpets, clean full interior, leather seats and all plus shampooing the floor mats.
When it came time to use it, they informed me that the $ 85 only included shampooing the floor mats and the carpet and does NOT include complete interior detail. I was NOT told that when I purchased the detail package from the sales person (TOM). Bunch of crooks! I just can’t believe how corrupt a car wash business can be. Be aware consumers.

They did a good job cleaning inside my car. My car did look really nice and shiny. But once I got home and looked at several areas. I was disappointed there was still some stuff on the window they didn’t get off. And then on the bottom part of my door there was still lots of dirt. I should’ve checked those are the two things that I really wanted to get off my car. But I was in a hurry my bad.

I thought I’d give these guys a try. I’ve been stopping by the doughnut shop Donut Touch at the same location (Arco station) for years for their excellent doughnuts, but this is a review of the Car Wash, so here we go.
The employee that took the car wash order was very knowledgeable and friendly, and made it clear that they use only the highest quality «Meguiars» products. I chose their Carnuba Wax, which is one of the more expensive choices there (around $ 90), however their typical car wash options are much less expensive and there is a Unilocal coupon that reduces their top of the line standard wash options from around $ 24 to around $ 14.
I was impressed with the quality of the wax job, but also with the attention to detail with respect to cleaning the inside of my car. Later in the day when I went to get something out of my trunk I saw that they had vacuumed the trunk out, and I didn’t even request that they do so.
This was my first visit. I’ll go back in a few weeks for their standard wash and see how that goes. I’m giving 5 stars in part because of the excellent food and coffee at the attached doughnut place, which also servers freshly made Boars Head sandwiches.

If I could give them no stars I would. Terrible service, scratched my car and terrible handling of your car when washing and drying. Service is careless and the workers don’t handle your car with care at all. Here’s your warning don’t go here ever! I had to learn the hard way!

I have been going to this car wash off and on for many years and I kick myself for going there every time. No matter how much I pay for the wash, I am never satisfied.
I am not typically a picky person, but when I pay for a car wash, I expect my car to be clean. The windows always have spots on them and there is always something still stuck to the vehicle, whether it be flower or tree sap or a bug. They are terrible at cleaning the inside as well. I am pretty sure the vacuums in the beginning are just for show, because it seems like they are never used.
This last visit, 5÷10÷16, I had to actually walk around with the guy and point out the many spots that they missed. He wiped them with a towel while we went around, which is not OK! Things like that have to be wet to come off or you will scratch the paint. Very unprofessional. I have never done that before, I usually just jump in my vehicle and leave, stewing all the way home about what a terrible job they have done. I was a tad more picky this time because my truck is brand new, but that should have made their job even easier! All they had to do was clean off some bugs and dust, but apparently that was too difficult.
I will never return to this car wash no matter how convenient it is.

My first time here and I was impressed. Got the Unilocal $ 14 for $ 25 deal to get the «Opal» car wash. Guy tried to upsell a wax but was polite when I declined. Pretty fast service and did a very thorough job vacuuming and wiping the inside and outside and my car was quite dirty. This will be my go to car wash from now on. Everyone was friendly and it was a great price with the Unilocal deal. I also enjoyed the donut place right there.

To say it simply, THE GUYS WHO WERE DRYING MY CAR DAMAGED MY CAR RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES AND REFUSED TO HELP ME.
My car sat there with a flat tire. The guy who was applying the tire dressing to my tires somehow snapped the valve stem to my tire resulting in the Tire Pressure Sensor to be damaged and the air quickly escaped. This was NOT just a valve stem that was damaged, it was the sensor and they refused to replace it with an original part. They even refused to show my a copy of their insurance so I could attempt to handle this through my insurance. Their reply, «this never happened to us before and not our fault.» Even though it was done right in front of my eyes and as well as others.
I wouldn’t even recommend these people to my worst enemy. STAY AWAY from this place. Trust me.

This was my first time here. The car wash was good, the inside and outside were both very clean and the guy handing the car off was polite! It would’ve been 5 stars but the salesman that writes up the tickets greeted me with a «What do you want?» I almost felt stupid when I said «Car wash.» Overall my experience was good.

Worst place to wash your car–
I was already weary of going because of how it was located inside of an Arco gas station, but I thought, Hey, lets just give it a shot.
NO. WORST.PLACE.EVER
water spots everywhere, half-​ass washers, dinky-​ass workers who dont seem to take pride in their work.
CAR LEFT DIRTIER THAN COMING IN.

Easily the best car wash in San Diego! You know it’s good when you live in Mission Valley and decide to come here instead of down the street to get their car washed!
What makes this place good is that they are consistent about the detail on a car wash. It’s pretty fast, and they do a great job drying the car. They even have low pressure air that they use inside and out to get into all the nooks and crannies of your vehicle. Bonus!
The service is great and they are very friendly. It does help that they are literally next door to Donut Touch. Donuts and carwashes? Come on now!
$ 24.99 gets you a nice car wash with your interior dash wiped down with the LP air. I love that they really get the windows clean. I hate cleaning windows!

This is my second time here and I was actually pretty disappointed with the service. I came here hoping to et a stain out of one of my seats primarily while getting the opal wash. The manager informed me that getting the stain out would be an additional $ 20. It says detail interior cleaning? Since when does that mean everything but the stains you want out? Even more disappointing was that literally after I’d left it had started to rain and I’d already disposed of the receipt. I’d imagined if they made a fuss about getting a stain out that they’d of made even more of one for no receipt. If you want to get only small debris and simple dirt off your car go here but to actually get something clean expect to pay more on top of whatever you’re paying. It is too bad too, the last time I was here I had excellent service.

We used the Unilocal deal. The only thing I’d say is wipe your windows after they’re done or don’t roll your windows down.
Oh and their candy shop sells jelly bellys separate. Now I know where to get the popcorn flavor

It’s hard to find a great hand car wash, but this one is the best in the northern area of San Diego. I’ve tried them all.
There are a number of options to choose from, based on your need that day.
Except for the fact they often leave your windshield wipers in the «on» position I’ve never had reason to criticize their work.
It takes a while, but I just come prepared with something to keep me busy.
I’ve found the Manager & Staff to be very friendly. The fact that English isn’t their native language may be why a few people call them «rude». They can come off sounding brusk.
Highly recommended.

First time at this car wash and felt good about my experience. I was originally just planning to do a had wash but then while talking to one of the managers, Sam, I decided to do a buffering for my headlights. Results were fantastic! He also listened to my requests on detail for my interior. When they finished on my car, I noticed that a few spots were not vacuumed properly and tires were not what I was expecting so Sam went ahead and completed the tasks. I was very pleased.
Payed about 95 dollars on the cleaning and buffing, which was not the price I was originally going to pay for, but am happy with the overall out come.

Great location and most of all great customer service! They gave me 5 dollars off their premium car wash and for a first timer I was a happy camper!
They have a nice seating area right inside their store with a tv and even a massage chair!
I have never gotten my car professionally cleaned before but I was very content with the end result.

These guys are awful. The manger is rude, the work is sloppy. For the price, you can get much better elsewhere.
I came back from a road trip from Vegas and tried to use one of my 5 «upgraded» wash package I bought. The manager insisted I pay an additional $ 5 for the bugs on my car. I might have understood if I had purchased the basic package, but I had purchased their most upgraded package. Even after paying the extra $ 5, the work was sloppy. They did not vacuum the back fully and didn’t finish drying the car completely (they were pretty busy). I finally used my 5 washes and will not be back. I am driving to the Northside of Poway and sticking with San Diego Car Care. I should have never switched.
