I love the grilled chicken salad, the veggies always fresh, Greek dressing is smooth and not over powering, grilled chicken is the star in this dish, perfect seasoning and the tiziki sauce is addicting. I also recommend the souvlaki chicken platter. Yum!

One of my fave Greek place! Came in here because I was craving Greek food and I got the kebab plate. The meat was tender, the veggies were roasted and perfect, the rice was fresh and yummy! I loved the hummus and Greek sauce. They have sausages here too and it’s super seasoned and yummy and I must say their fries are pretty good as well. I have tried their Greek salad and it is delicious. The sauce isn’t intense when it comes to the citrus which makes it taste perfect for a Greek salad! The owner is really nice too!

Lived in the area but have never tried this place. Finally got a chance to grab a dinner here recently. It was quiet so we got the full attention. I ordered the gyro meat burrito and it was a decent sized. Not bad… until I got in the face with raw onions. It might be something they give a warning to. I, luckily love raw onions. But I think I’m in the minority. Even then, it was a bit strong for me. Otherwise, the other dishes our group ordered looked good and were satisfying.

We had food catered and everything was wonderful. The salad, rice, meat and pitas all tasted delicious. Everything was ready at pick up time and the staff was friendly. Great deal too! Thank you all.

I very rarely give a one star review but am compelled to do so in this case. I have been here twice. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable to start with. The falafel is the worst I have ever had. I tried it the first time I came here and was quite disappointed. It is unbelievably dry and tastes like it went right from the freezer to the plate after a brief stop in the microwave. Minimal tzadziki sauce. The Greek salad with it was ok. I gave the falafel a second chance today, a mistake which almost cost me some molars as there was a NAIL in one of them. After very discreetly calling this to the manager’s attention, we received a sincere apology and they took it off the bill(as if they could have charged us for a nail containing falafel?!). They did charge us for the other 3 meals at our table and all beverages. They did offer us dessert but we declined out of fear for our teeth. I won’t be back, especially with far superior Luna Grill 50 yards away in the same parking lot.

The meat is always the first thing you smell when you pull up in the parking lot! Excellent seasoning, the food is delicious and the staff always knows what I want when I come in. The owner is always making sure that everyone enjoys their visits here

There are times in life where you crave Greek food… or mainly just the gyros. We were a party of 9. When we walked in the inside seating was 70% filled(Friday night around 6 ish) but they didn’t have any large tables to accommodate us all so we sat outside– the only place that would fit us. It was a little chilly for a San Diego night. but their gas heaters didn’t work. Bummer. We all mostly ordered the gyros plate. Portions were good, but as others have reviewed that the meat is a little dry(found this to be true) as well as a little salty. I tried some of my friend’s soup(chicken, lemon, etc), it tasted like chicken soup with a hint of lemon. We also ordered the Santorini island fries, they were good. Like Carne asada fries but with gyros. The jalapeños weren’t spicy at all because they were grilled. The service was also slow as other Unilocalers mentioned. Although, one waitress came by and asked if we wanted more Tzatziki sauce — we said yes. We weren’t charged extra for it like another Unilocaler said –maybe it depends on who’s your waitress/waiter is. I think this place is slightly more authentic than Daphne’s Greek, but tastes just the same to me. This place didn’t wow me, I don’t know if I’ll be back.

Just our favorite local restaurant. Great service from Mercedes. The veggie plate was over the top good.

June: Work is pretty close to this place, ordered the Zorbas which gives you the option of choosing which meat skewer. I chose the chicken. Overall the food is not bad, but I prefer Luna Grill as their chicken is juicier. However once in awhile I will order from here. They are more a 3.5. But I round it up because the cashier as busy as she is has always been nice. The downside is the wait. It gets super packed, so I prefer to order over the phone and pick it. It’s probably their prices, it’s decently priced compared to Luna. Lunch Time anyone?

Food is delicioussss. The salads are good but SANTORINIISLANDFRIES– thank me later! Mediterranean version of carne asada fries. Fries fried to perfection, feta cheese, gyro and chicken, lemon oil(it ties it together!!) sauted onions and tomatoes. SODELICIOUS! Has stella on tap for $ 4. Customer service isn’t terrible but can definitely use some sharpening…

This place beats the chains(e.g.: Daphne’s) hands down. Local, family run is the way to go every time. Good, fresh, honest Greek food. Very reasonably priced, especially if you have the money mailer monthly coupons. We generally get two large sampler platters(assorted skewers and the«Super Zorba’s»), then share among the three of us. With a couple sodas, you’re out of there for less than $ 30…less than $ 25 if you have a coupon. Friendly service, definitely improved from the previous management. So why not 5 stars? The gyro meat is a little greasy, the chicken skewers are inconsistent(sometimes dry, sometimes perfect) and the house red wine is terrible. They’ve buggered a to-go order, but a phone call later and they made it right my next time in. Inconvenient, but something to expect from a family joint, and they did their best to apologize and satisfy a customer. Easy, tasty way to feed a family without nuking your AmEx. Nice neighborhood spot.

I was in Poway for business and decided to come for a late lunch. Whether we were supposed to sit & they’d take our order OR if we were to order at the register was a little confusing. A sign would have been nice. But I got a Greek Salad with Gyro meat and the meal was delicious! Their tzatziki sauce tasted great. The humus was a bit off, way too much garlic but it is made fresh! Happy I decided to try this place out because Luna Grill down the street charges close to $ 15 just for a salad with meat. Here it was a little over $ 7. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!

This was a tough review to post because I really love this place… We will normally come here at least once a week for dinner, and for some reason, the difference is night and day. We came in today for lunch. Although there was no line and the place seemed not quite busy, the kid at the front insisted that lunch time was«self service only». This means order at the counter and seat yourself… which was fine, except for the«seat yourself» sign still prominently posted which caused us to be ignored for the first few minutes of our visit. No worries, we order our food and grab a seat. As we sit down, we inquire about the water we ordered at the register. He pompously reminds us that self service means you get your own water. Now I’m starting to get irritated, as he could have pointed that out while we were standing with him at the counter where the water is located. I also can’t help but notice that there is still no one else at the front, so there’s no reason this young man can’t «service» those in the restaurant. He decides to spend his«down time» chatting with the other employee who is eating at the bar. If you’re so busy during lunch, why do you have an employee on his break during this peak time? Boggling. Still love the food here and will definitely be back— for dinner. We normally get pretty good service. But since I do like this place so much, I’d be remiss to not shed some insight on your«lunch rush» management techniques. If it’s self service, remove the seat yourself sign. Place the cups near the drink dispenser. And give your employees clear direction on what constitutes«busy».

Came here tonight after seeing a coupon in a mailer for buy 1 get 1. My husband and I got the same thing, the Zorba plate. Gyros, chicken skewer, salad and fries. Everything was good except my chicken was beyond bland. We also tried the feta fries, the waitress said they were new. They were okay, I doubt I would get them again. We will try again if we get their coupon. 2 meals 1 appetizer and 2 drinks $ 19.50.

Food is good. Very good. Best Greek food outside of downtown I’d say. Cool too, because the food used to be not very good. Staff was bad. Fat woman used to hover over the food like a bloodhound slobbering over a kill. Then – A miracle. NEWOWNERSHIP. Really got the place up to par. Better staff. Food is 10x’s better. Everything about this place is better. Eat here.

I’m gonna give Santorini a 4. In previous years, we would come here for take-out, only when we were really desperate, and we had a coupon — the food was so-so. Well, we now are somewhat limited due to our current home reno, so we eat out more, but still look for ways to save. Santorini still sends out coupons, so we decided to come here and eat-in the past couple of times. Although the service can be a little slow, its always friendly. The food is pretty good, and a great deal with/without coupon. Generally, there’s plenty to take home for a yummy lunch later on. Yes, it’s located in a clean yet boring Vons strip center, but who cares?

We ordered the other night and it was so so so bad! We used to love this place. The gyro was terrible, the hamburger was good but the rest of the food was over cooked or under cooked. Such a sad and terrible disappointment Love the new look but the guy on the register was a weird ass and the food wasn’t good at all.

The meal that I ordered was the half chicken. You get a choice of sides… fries, salad, rice pilaf. I chose the rice and salad w/a vinaigrette dressing. I also ordered the«Volcano» fries. Both sides were really good. The Volcano fries were good, but I was too full to really enjoy it. In other words, good portions. My wife ordered the Greek burger. It has a Black Angus pattie with Gyro meat. It also came with regular fries. Again, a big meal. The food was very good and it’s a nice change to the typical. It’s definitely going to be a «go to» place when we stay in San Diego.

Went here for lunch. Had the vegetable platter. The rice was not fully cooked. The pita bread & the hummus was good. The lemon soup was good as well. Had a lemony taste. Everything else on my plate was cold. Didn’t finish all my food. Service was okay. Didn’t bother on refilling our drinks or checking up on us.
