Santa Fe Park RV Resort

Great location to see the city and be able to relax in the evening. I stayed for 3 nights for my daughter’s graduation at UCSD. It was very conveniently located off the 5 freeway. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Nice and convenient place to stay while in San Diego working. Yes you are close to your neighbors and it’s a bit noisy located in between the 5 freeway and a railroad track. But the staff are very nice, the park is clean and the fellow campers are nice and quiet. Nice size clubhouse with workout area, game room and communuty kitchen with refrigerator large laundry room and outside pool.

I just got hired here in San Diego for a job and needed to find immediate housing until I could find a more permanent Location. So I borrowed my parents trailer and headed down to SD and parked it in C-​8 in the park. They were extremely nice to me and gave me a tour of the facilities and told me all about the surrounding areas (I was mainly concerned with traffic on my morning commutes so I wanted an inside look to the freeways). So I paid my $ 800 or so bucks and started setting up.
Around 2 weeks in my fathers old trailer began having electrical issues and the maintenance guy popped by and gave me some pointers on how to fix my issues (legally he isn’t allowed to fix my trailer but he can tell me what to do haha) and it fixed all of my electrical issues.
In short the complex is very nice, the sites are simple but can be pushed up right against your neighbors. But if your main concern is to see the city than this is the prime location to do so.
One downside is the noise so if you are a light sleeper bring something to cover your ears at night, I grew up near a freeway and rail line so I am already used to the 5 freeway and the metro but not everyone is.

Great location! Heated pool year round, we were swimming during our San Diego cold spell, new washers and dryers are awesome. I like the family feel and knowing that someone is looking after us at all times.

Been staying here for the last 10 years. Just tried to call and make a reservation and was told they no longer accept Passport America discounts for weekends and holidays. The Passport America website does not list this restriction so I’m not sure when they changed there policy. I was also told that all 3 of the employees that worked there just as of this last summer have retired. I have to wonder why they would all 3 retire at the same time. With the discount it was worth staying here but without it there are plenty of better RV parks we will be staying at.

Managers and those in charge do not work during weekdays.
— No refunds
You will not get a refund for time you are not able to stay in the campground. They are not considerate of their customers. They will give you the good olé «were going out of business» runaround. They surely will if they keep this up.
— Noise
You get what you sign up for here. Visit the campground before you book, because the noise level is awful.
— Poor handicap access
— *NO WIFI*
It does not work often and is VERY slow if it does. These are actually the staff’s word! False advertising plain and simple.
— No extra parking inside campground
Your guests may leave their car on the side of the highway, though.
— Tight turns
Don’t bother bringing your large camper here.

So we just stayed at the Santa Fe for 3 day and loved it! We went just for a day during the heat wave to enjoy the pool and stayed for 3 days instead! Yes, you are by the freeway and the coaster, but for a spot close to the San Diego attractions, the price can’t be beat! It is clean, well kept, and we found Kathy and Blair in the office to be friendly and helpful, and the maintenance men Tim and Ed to be awesome as well! Especially since we kept leaving things by the pool! We will be going back soon, thanks guys! SK8DRIVE had a blast!

Won’t be staying here again. Usually stay at mission Bay rv or campland, but they were sold out so gave Santa fe a try. First problem the spot is too small for my 38ft trailer, even though the office claimed I would be ok when I made the reservation it’s impossible to get into the spot when the opposite spots are occupied because the road is too narrow. Luckily the spot behind was empty I was able to pull though. Then the next night my wife went to walk our 4 month old puppy on a leash she stepped off the last step our dog was attacked by 2 large aggressive dogs (maybe rottweilers) running free knocked my wife to the ground. They were on a leash but no one holding them apparently they ran out of nearby trailer. Partially dislocated wife’s shoulder. I will not stay anywhere that allows aggressive dogs like this. No security at this place so I don’t think anyone is checking. Maybe this is OK if you are just a couple, but with young kids and dog I recommend staying somewhere else. The park is well kept, and has a nice dog walk area by the creek, which were the positives during our stay.

Lovely stay cation spot in SD. I live right around the corner so it’s very convenient. All your needs are covered, fitness center, recreation room, laundry, showers, pump out, cable, electricity. Grounds are well kept. Bathrooms and showers gleam. I may come for 6 months in Jan. Lovely place to stay and the staff is friendly. Oh yeah pool and jacuzzi to ice the cake!

I’m giving an extra star because the management has been super helpful to us. They clearly value their guests, and we are very happy that we chose to stay here.

Nice hosts and decent park for a stopover but not for any extended time. Sites are level and they have FHU and PT with 50 amp. Facilities are good– not great. The noise from the freeway is terrible. If you are a light sleeper– good luck. Wonderful coffee selection in the morning for free was a nice touch but we won’t be back. Wish we had found the neighborhood brewery tho! Didn’t notice it until we were leaving.

If you need to use the WiFi here forget it, it’s not usable even for basic email. There is network cables in the common room you can plug into if you need a connection. I spent an extra $ 50 on cellular data so I could get work done.
I’ve been here for a month while looking for a place to live. It’s ok but I would not stay here again. The interstate freeway is 100′ away and constant noise. The trains are right on the other side and run even late at night.
The pool and spa are nice. The exercise room is decent with several machines and weights. The office staff are not exactly friendly but I didn’t have any problems there.

Stayed here for two weeks. The price and location was right. They also have a very nice pool, jacuzzi and pool table. I would have loved my stay here if it wasn’t for the horrible poop smell at my site. I mentioned it to the lady and she acted like no one has ever mentioned it. I spent days making sure it wasn’t my rv. After complaining again and finally getting the maintenance guy to come he capped the septic tank vent that was close to my rv. It was horrible. Because of that I give it a 2– also the ladies at the front– all three have no customer service skills whatsoever and also never say hello or smile. Just rude and looks like they hate their job. If it wasn’t for that and the smell they would get a 4. Good– location, cost– in passport America, and great rec center. Cons– bad noise from highway I used ear plugs and it worked. A-​31 is a good spot for SAT and less traffic.

If you have lots planned to do in the San Diego area and just want a place to park your RV, then this should work for you. Everyone is packed in like sardines! So atmosphere wise not so much. The noise of the fwy & the train are constant. The pics online show grass & trees but that is only at a few of the sites. Good price compared to downtown & beach locations. We left 3 days earlier than planned as we need more country camping!

My wife and I have stayed here twice, loved the location, friendly staff, and location of choice which we got to select, we werent assigned a space. The trains didnt bother us, very nice showers, and we would definately stay here again.

PLEASE NOTE. .. i have not stayed at this park. my review is based solely on communications and policies which made me choose to seek accommodations elsewhere.
this park, like so many others, in an attempt to nickle-​and-​dime campers, charges a $ 3 per night, per dog fee or $ 40 per month, per dog (for some reason cats are free???). when i inquired as to what what included with that fee i was told they have a dog walk and that apartments charge a pet fee so they do to.
it’s probably worth mentioning that they are owned by a real estate conglomerate. .. i would advise to pass on this one!

If you plan on spending time in San Diego then please check out this RV Park. The staff is wonderful, great laundry facility, nice pool and excellent location to everything. Yes, you are close to I-​5 and the train tracks so you will need to adjust to the noise level when you are sitting outside but that is the only negative thing about the park. We look forward to our stay here everytime we’re in San Diego.

I give this 4 stars since it’s the only RV resort I’ve ever stayed at and overall we had a good experience.
Good stuff:
–great location close to PB and Clairemont
–they have a pool/​jacuzzi/​laundry faciliites
–full hook-​ups (electricity included in daily price)
–small bbq on each site
–they have some pull through sites
–very friendly staff
Bad stuff:
–in between the 5 freeway and Coaster (the noise didn’t really bother us, but I could see how it might bother some people)
–sites are very close to one another and a little difficult to manuever between
