The San Raphael Spanish Academy is a home based Spanish Immersion Preschool where children are prepared academically and socially to easily join Kindergarten.

Our teachers are highly qualified and have many years of experience working as preschool teachers. Our Head Teacher is also trained as a Kindermusik teacher. They are both native Spanish speakers.

We enroll a maximum of 12 students per day.

We serve a snack and a hot lunch. The food is mostly organic. We encourage children to eat healthily.

Preschool Program is from 8:30am to 2:30pm.

We are CPR/​First Aid certified.

Full Day Care available too.

History

Established in 2008.

I have 2 children of my own, they are now 7 and 4 years old. My 4 year old still attends the San Raphael Spanish Academy.

The business was started in 2008 as a home daycare. I soon realized that I wanted my children to attend more than «just a daycare» so I incorporated a Preschool Program. It was still difficult to care for children properly AND teach a preschool program, so I realized that to offer an outstanding program, I needed to hire a qualified and experienced teacher. I am also a fan of children learning languages at a young age (my husband is Dutch and both my children are learning Dutch as well as Spanish at the San Raphael Spanish Academy) so I looked for a teacher that was also a native Spanish speaker and experienced in teaching Spanish to children. I am so happy that I found exactly the person I was looking for!

I have always enjoyed working with children. I have been an aupair for a year, an English teacher and then a nanny in Germany. Later I studied childcare for 4 years here in the US.
