Michael graduated from University of California, San Diego in 2014 with a degree in Electrical And Computer Engineering with a minor in Music. He was born in Brasilia, Brazil and has lived in the United States for 18 years residing in Southern Florida and Southern California. Having learned low voltage systems in the AUTO and MARINE industry at a young age, Michael spent much of his high school and early college years working on low voltage projects. Mike brings his versatile engineering skill set and leadership to SDSS&T projects, manages client relationships, and serves as the technical direction of our projects.

I am going to add my own 5 STAR rating as well! Arthur was the technician that came to my house to set up my surround system. First of all, SD Sound Solutions was really great about getting back to me, to come over and arrange an estimate and do the work. Arthur’s customer service is first rate! Always on time, and very personable, yet professional.
I highly recommend SD Sound Solutions for any of your Audio, Video, Date, and Security System needs!

Michel and his team came in promptly and delivered a kick-​ass sound system and security camera system! I got it installed for a mid size restaurant in Convoy, Baguette Bros; and they were done in about 3 to 4 hours. Everything worked really well, no problem so far!
They even took the time out to position all the systems and cameras to help optimize my business. Couldn’t ask for a better service. Highly recommend these guys for all sound, camera and technology related matter.

I just had my Artesia AG-​40 Baby Grande Digital Piano installed today by Michael and Arthur!
I just found them on Unilocal this morning, gave them a call and set up an appointment for this afternoon. I called a few other places and these guys were the only ones who were responsive.
My piano was still in the box! They unwrapped it, assembled it, installed it and here’s a bonus, they cleaned up after themselves and took ALL the annoying packing that you don’t want to deal with! They did a fantastic job putting together my brand new piano! They were fast, professional, friendly and cool.
I’m the type of person who finds most services and places via Unilocal and greatly appreciate all the reviews people write so here’s mine and hope it helps you.

Finally I found someone who do what I like. michael and his assistant are professional.
I was lucky I tried to called many people but no one answer the phone or call me back, Michael picked the phone. Yes I got him for ceiling speaker installation. I’m easy person I let him but materials because I no have idea how to buy. He dis very fast and profession. After finish his job I needed him helped me hook frames and wall clocks etc he didn’t say No
(I got experienced from handyman he didn’t do after finish his job) .
I still need him help me again some small job before my business open, he respond very fast.
I like that. I was searching for a person like this for many years in San Diego

Searched online for tint shops and Sound Solution came up. The guys at the shop were really nice and approachable. They gave me various option to chose from while explaining the function of each shade. Now my Honda CRV look spanking new! Great price and great service.

These guys! I love them.
We hired a sound company to run a series of events a couple years ago, and while they assured me everything was taken care of, it wasn’t. Days before our big event, I called in for help and we hired Michel and SD Sound Solutions to set up our complicated and massive outdoor sound system and fix the problems caused by the previous company. Michel and SD Sound Solutions saved us.
Within, the last year, we’ve hired Michel for over 15 events and he’s been a great edition to our team. Michel and Arthur are both very friendly and hard workers; don’t be deceived by their laid back attitude, these guys hustle and get the job done!
Here’s a great example of SD Sound Solutions going above and beyond. Michel and Arthur set up the sound for a private corporate event we were hosting, and one of the stadium lights I rented from another vendor wasn’t working properly. We really needed this light to work, but my rental company was MIA and there was no way they could fix or trailer in another stadium light during my event. I asked Michel in a panic for some help. Calmly and quickly, he whipped out his tool bag (which I didn’t even know he carried), and did some electrical tests and was somehow able to fix the light. Both Michel and Arthur were eager and happy to help. It’s nice to know they’ve got my back.
We use them mainly for events, both large and small, public and private. I’d hire Michel to put a stereo in my car, a theater in my house, a sound system in my office, or repair my desk lamp. He’s a genius and a great guy to have around. Arthur too!

This place really helped me out! I came in to check out my auxiliary input on my car since it has not been able to play music for months. I wanted to see if I needed a new part or if some cords just needed to be tightened and all the other places I looked into told me I would have to pay the 85 $ labor fee to have them check out my existing auxiliary part. When I came to this place, the owner was able to take out the part and examine it right in front in a matter of 5 mins. The only problem was a loose connection that he secured for me for no charge! He was very friendly and honest with me and I truly appreciate it! Definitely will come back when my part actually needs to be replaced!

Mike was awesome. My subwoofer stopped working so I gave him a call and he was ready to see me the next day. It is super close to where I live and very convenient for me, because I live in PB. He was more than helpful when explaining what my problem was and ideas to fix my music. He had total patience for my questions. I ended up needing a new amp and had one in his shop and then secured my subwoofer to my car and now I have way more bass! Price for the amp was in my range and I will be coming back for any more car audio experiences.

This is definitely one of the best places in San Diego for car audio installation/​repair. I have a 2005 GMC Yukon with an outdated sound system that wasn’t working. I called Michael and he told me he could fix it right away.
Michael was professional, polite, and extremely knowledgable. He took the time to check all of my speakers, amplifiers, and wiring. He explained what was wrong and that he could update my system with some inexpensive parts and repairs. After the repairs, he fine tuned the sound and balance of my system. It sounds amazing now.
I highly recommend Michael for any audio/​electrical projects. He’s an electrical engineer with a ton of experience in auto, residential, and commercial technology. He also does a lot of custom work, including home automation and security controlled by cell phone and tablet.

I was fortunate to have Mike recommended to me by my realtor. I just moved into a new home and needed my 90+ lb plasma hung in the corner of my living room. A standard mount wasn’t going to work so I needed something custom fabricated. Mike and his team did an amazing job building a box in corner of the room to mount the TV to. The construction looks clean and super professional. The TV is on an arm so I can still move it around depending on where I’m viewing it from. All the wiring is behind the box and completely out of sight. Even the cable box and apple tv are mounted inside the box and attached to IR repeaters so that nothing is in view except the TV. They really did a great job and I would definitely recommend their services.

I needed someone to install a new Android head unit with GPS and Bluetooth microphone. I called around to check pricing, discovering that most stereo specialists charge an average of $ 75/​hour. After checking the reviews, I had narrowed it down to a few different shops. Of all the businesses i contacted, mike was the most personable and he was willing to do the install at my place.
I had already purchased all of the necessary components, but the mounting bracket did not quite fit the head unit. He patiently shaved away the plastic (I would have lost my mind) until the stereo fit snugly into it. The end result looked great, and I am extremely satisfied with the entire process.
Mike informed me that his company is now focusing on commercial and residential audio– video solutions, and that he will soon have a team dedicated to auto services. I I highly recommend Mike and his team for any audio– visual needs.

Excellent service, excellent knowledge, impressive work and results!
Background: I recently bought a used SUV with a custom sound system and subwoofer installed. My problem was that I couldn’t get the subwoofer to work, no matter what I tried nothing would work. First I read great reviews on Unilocal and then after speaking with Mike over the phone I was convinced. It turned out I chose the right company. It was a pleasure watching Mike work and gosh was he fast and skilled!
I am extremely glad I took help from Mike as I know no one could have made a better work fixing up the broken wires, bad connections and system settings. Thanks!

I called Mike and he was willing to come out to my house to install my new pioneer receiver. He was a nice guy, and I felt comfortable with him immediately. His price was very reasonable and I didn’t need to leave my home!
He did a great job with the installation and it sounded awesome. The next day I could not get it to work and couldn’t figure out why. He was able to come out the day after and took it all apart to check his work. Nothing was done incorrectly. Then, after telling him I had removed the face plate and thought it had been reinserted correctly, he was able to see that is wasn’t and that was the whole problem. So he came all that way, spent about 40 minutes with me, to find out I was the one who messed up. Oops.
Had a bit of a laugh about it and he didn’t charge me for his time. He’s a good guy and would use him for other installation projects in my home in the future.

Very happy with the work from San Diego Sound Solutions. Michel is very knowledgable about all types of electronics –from alarms to car stereos to custom A/​V set ups too. Plus I like that he has a strict attention to detail. My wife’s car had power locks but no keyless entry. Michel installed both an alarm and keyless entry quickly and for a great price. Another friend of mine used his services to get his windows tinted and Michel made sure they were perfect! Not even the tiniest bubbles or creases where to be seen anywhere. SDSS’s work is fast, professional, and great quality. I would definitely recommend them!

Mike Chahini recently did a keyless entry and a security alarm on my MKII Volkswagen GTI. He did an amazing job on the installation. He also went out of his way to secure the whole dashboard in solidly. He explained the use and settings of the alarm system to me and optional upgrades to the system. I’d highly recommend his services to anyone looking for any installation needs for any vehicle.
