San Diego Indian and Victory Motorcycles

Frank and Caleb are great. They are the only reason this review gets 2 stars. Both nice guys, but this dealership really under-​delivers. I bought parts and did not get them in anything that resembles a reasonable timeframe. One item took several months. I never got any updates from them. When I called, I was told that Polaris over promised and under delivered. The staff here had me convinced that Polaris was seriously problematic when it comes to parts. Turns out, not so much.
They go through employees like toilet paper and when that is your bike mechanic, that is worrisome. The manager I bought my bike from, who is now gone, was a massive a-​hole. They spam your email. They either sold or gave my email out to another «related» service. They seem to treat their customer date as badly as they do their customers.

Bought a new Indian Dark Horse here after visiting a couple dealers and test driving bikes. The deal was good and service is pretty phenomenal! Also the dealer set up was less than the alternatives. Most of the folks were really good. The girl in finance stood out. Really nice and easy to work with. The sale guy I worked with, Jacob, was amazing! Great follow up, constantly checking in to make sure everything was good… insanely good service! If you are looking for a cruiser I’d go here first… and ask for Jacob!

Was called back 2 weeks later for missed signatures. Then was called again to finish an insurance binder.
I guess I understand what they meant when they said you’ll be coming back to visit a lot.

The wife and I walked in yesterday afternoon after receiving a big check from a property sale. We were greeted by the lady up front, other then that nobody assisted us after walking the whole store. I guess the Hispanic guy with the beard that was sitting down eating his lunch was more important then helping us. Mine you this place was empty! I will be heading to El Cajon and check out that dealership

Once i found out that san diego had its first indian motorcyle shop I stopped in the first days open and sat on the Chieftain. I told the service manager i would return with $$ and buy it. Everyone involved were very professional and friendy.

Let me say that I’ve been dealing with San Deigo Indian for years, actually since they opened. Excellent dealership.
If you read and entertain the low star posts (the 2 regarding the flat tire) of course there is a very good reason the owner came out and stood up for herself and threw him out of the shop.
He had slandered the owner herself on many occasions to include calling her rude unspeakable female names, this was on public forums and verbally to other people. Funny thing is when he needed something he looked the other way and ran back to the very owner he slandered then expected her to suck it up and kiss his two faced a$$.
I’m proud of her to stick up for herself. I’ve always loved SD Indian. I’m even more impressed with them now.

Just picked up a 2015 scout. The bike is brilliant, and the staff here is brilliant as well. I test drove the bike twice and I never felt the I was wasting the staff’s time. The whole process was very painless, and I would buy from them again.

I have a Victory Vision. The spring to my kickstand Broke. I called all over San Diego. The dealership in Southbay told me the closest one was in Las Vegas. I called Indian dealership downtown and was really glad to hear that they had one in stock. What was better was that it was five dollars cheaper than Southbay. This company is top notch. I would not listen to someone who had a flat tire and a bad experience with the owner. She does not do the work. That sounded like something personal outside of the establishment. Real bikers know quality. Me and my motorcycle club endorse this company. We will be back.

I’m not sure what happened with the two negative reviews but I can only speak about my experience.
When my wife and I decided to get a motorcycle we went to Indian of El Cajon but just felt a little overwhelmed and pressured to buy. Luckily I looked and found that the official Indian Motorcycle store was on Kettner. We decided to give it another try and what a difference.
I walked in and was immediately greeted by Frank who gave me a tour and answered all my questions. We’re brand new to motorcycles and Frank was very genuine and answered all our questions enthusiastically. He gave us space when we needed it and overall our experience with Frank was excellent. Certainly much more pleasant than I thought it would be.
After deciding to purchase the bike Frank handed us off to the Manager Caleb who was extremely friendly and very humorous. He was relaxed and gave my wife a demo ride. Everything about Caleb was professional and I felt comfortable knowing he was the manager. They had to order parts and eventually deliver the bike and throughout the process Caleb communicated non stop.
Overall my experience with the team at San Diego Indian was pleasant. Being new to this motorcycle world we felt intimidated but the team all made us feel welcomed. If I buy another bike I’m going back. And because of my experience I’m choosing to sign up with their riding group. Everyone seemed like friends and family. So why not?! :)

Its not my nature to feel I have to respond to anyone but in this case I think its important. In the first place the sexist comment that I’m a bored housewife is totally unacceptable! It also gives insight into this mans feeling about women. I doubt he would’ve given a Unilocal review if a man had questioned why he chose a dealer whom he had bad mouthed after I fired his buddy. The fact that his buddy boy works at another dealership and he came to us just made me question why. And yes I might not have even wanted his business under those circumstances but I’m glad he found our service dept and our management personnel so professional. I’m proud of San Diego Indian & Victory and of the team and I appreciate the compliments! The fact that this former customer also chose to attack me personally is sad: his sexist remark is pathetic! I’ve owned my own business and have been a business professional for over 20 years. In that time I’ve rarely come across many of the things like low pay or other unfair business practices but there has been no shortage of jerks who talk to or about women in ways they wouldn’t dare talk about a man. «Bored housewife» may not be the worst or most sexist comment but it sure is a ‘window’ to this mans thought process. I want to thank all the customers who have taken the time to give us positive reviews and any serious critique that would help us improve. We work hard to be the best, to earn your trust and be the Indian & Victory motorcycle dealer you choose for your business!”

It’s really too bad you can’t give zero stars. The female owner however is rude, disrespectful and petty to her customers. I won’t be back. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
I had a rear flat tire which needed a repair. I contacted the dealership’s service department. They are professional and were very accommodating. From one of the team members I was able to get the number for Indian roadside assistance. When I arrived with my bike, the service mechanic immediately attended to my bike and unloaded it from the tow truck.
The general manager and service department got my tire repair underway immediately. I cannot deny that they were truly great and took my problem seriously. They have always been attentive and highly professional. I dropped
My bike off and went away while the team worked on my motorcycle. Truly top notch people. But this is offset by the unprofessionalism of the owner.
When I picked up my bike the owner (who has never been particularly friendly to me) confronted me stating I wasn’t welcome. When I asked why I wasn’t declined to have my bike serviced. The owner informed me that had she known about it. She would have refused me. Nice. So I was in need of help and San Diego Indian Motorcycle isn’t interested in being there for you. Why would I continue to do business with them? To be honest. They weren’t my first call. I know better next time. Avoid this place. It isn’t worth the headache.
So let’s get this straight. I come in needing assistance. Pay the dealership as a customer. And afterwards told I am not welcome. I’m not surprised. The dealership is rarely occupied by customers. I’ve heard of the reputation of the owner. Former customers don’t have kind things to say. Now I know why. Your business isn’t appreciated. Mine wasn’t. The place was empty. EMPTY. Well? Now I know why. Instead of letting the good employees of the dealership do their job. You will be faced with a bad attitude by the owner. I could have paid for the good work they did and went away. But that was not good enough for the owner who had to have her meaningless opinion shared.
It’s sad really. This is really a bored housewife operating a business without a clue. BADLY. Maybe it’s the lack of education? Who knows? I won’t be back. I don’t think the reader should bother stepping foot in the door. I didn’t deserve the harassment I received. Neither should you. As a business owner I wouldn’t have more treated anyone the way I was treated. It truly wasn’t deserved. But I was raised differently.
We spend a lot of money maintaining and operating our motorcycles. I suggest avoiding this dealership and the owner who won’t make your experience a positive one. We work hard for our money. Spend it somewhere where it is appreciated.

Today, I was with a friend who had a flat tire. He brought his bike in and was taken care of right away by the service department. The team was friendly and professional. Frank even was planting the seed of me buying a bike. I was excited at the thought of it. My friend paid for his repair and then the female owner came out… All I can say is I can see why we were the only customers in this dealership. My friend was beyond kind and when the owner told him if she knew his bike was there she would have refused service. He has been a loyal and paying customer.
Why would anyone treat a customer that way? Do you not want repeat clients? If that were any other person besides my friend, there would have been a huge scene. How uncomfortable for her amazing employees who were beyond professional. They had to witness her toxic behavior. I would love to get my own bike. I wouldn’t dream of buying it there. I wouldn’t purchase a coffee mug from such an unprofessional business owner. Her employees deserve so much more.

Great people. great dealership. .i went there to test ride the new indian scout after having a horrible horrible experience with indian of el cajon. .i talked with frank and they hooked me up with a test ride and were very knowledgeable. .when i came back from the test ride i bought it…5 star experience. .highly recommended

I recently bought a 2014 Indian Chief Vintage from SD Indian and it couldn’t have been a better experience. I fell in love with a specific two-​tone (Willow Green/​Cream) model which is currently backordered and hard to find. After calling most every California Indian dealer — Caleb was on the case and confirmed a delivery within a few weeks — significantly faster than anyone else.
He went above and beyond. Picking up the bike was flawless as well. The staff is courteous and friendly and you feel like you’re family within minutes. This is how buying a motorcycle should be — they truly share in your excitement and go above and beyond in service. There are closer Indian dealers to me but I’ll be making the trip to SD Indian — they have my loyalty. Thanks guys! A+!
