San Diego BMW Coding

Contacted through phone, text, email (i have no facebook) and nothing. Read here that he’d be back in Apr 2015 its now July and still nothing

I was recommended to Jackson by El Cajon BMW. I have tried to contact him by phone, text and Facebook off and on since Nov 2014. I have never once received a call or message back. Reflects poorly on Jackson and poorly on El Cajon BMW. This is no way to do business. If you’re no longer in business, then say so and stop wasting people’s time.

He said he would be back in the country in April and contact me. Have contacted him over four times and have not received any correspondence back. One star until he can get in touch.

This company/​person is a joke! I literally called him over 20 times, left probably 5 voice mails, texted him few times and emailed a couple times. That’s over the period at least 2 months. Voicemail says «thank you for calling Jacksons coding, please leave a message and I’ll get back to u asap…» If you’re out of business, change your voicemail, update your damn website or close it and Unilocal account. Don’t waste others’ time. If your up and going then you have the worst customer service ever seen. I bet those positive Unilocal reviews were from his buddies who he asked to write good thing about the business. Don’t bother contacting this guy!

Update: the x5 had a recall and all of my coding was erased and Jackson met me the very next day and restored everything for me free of charge. Absolutely amazing customer service!

Right after I bought my car, had to get Jackson to program. And input all the plus features and befits that nobody knows, any BMW owners should check this website! Nothing but the best

My wife and I purchased two CPO BMWs in November. Mine is an 2011 E90 M-​Sport Sedan and her’s is a 2011 E90 Premium and loaded… so we thought. Well, going to Jackson’s website we found out the cars had a number of features that were turned off because those options were not selected or available in the US when these cars were purchased new. i.e., mirror folding and windows up and down when locking or unlocking, all doors unlocking and key eject, etc.
This guys knows his stuff. Further, when my wife’s car went in for the 25K service (you know the one service it will never need again), the dealer set it back to stock. Well, Jackson came over this week and re-​coded without charge or question.
Great guy and great business. Highly recommended!

I purchased a 2011 BMW X5 recently and found out that I couldn’t close the automatic liftgate remote with neither the dash pushbutton or the Key Fob. It turns out that for safety reasons, BMW disabled the remote close function. Not being able to close the liftgate remotely, means that to close the liftgate… I had to go and press the button on the liftgate. Ridiculous… There must be someway to override this. So I Google’d how to be able to remotely close the liftgate.
I came across blogs that mentioned you can code BMW’s for different functions. I have never heard of coding BMW’s until this. It turns out that you can enable certain already built-​in functions that BMW North America has disabled for our market.
I found Jackson’ San Diego BMW Coding and e-​mailed him for more info. He quickly replied and gave me complete information on what he could do to help me out. I can tell by his e-​mails that he is a complete BMW enthusiast. His replies were very detailed and made me very comfortable about his experience and knowledge with coding BMW’s. Through his website, I saw that there were many other features that I can enable besides just enabling remote closing of the liftgate.
I scheduled with him to do the coding down in San Diego. I live up in Los Angeles but I was more than willing to drive 2 hours to get this done. To my pleasant surprise, he told me that he was going to be in my area in a few days and he could meet me somewhere close to do the work. I ended up meeting him 15 minutes from my work and he did the coding for me in about 20 minutes.
Jackson was very professional and courteous. I asked him many questions about the different features that could be turned on and he was very patient and detailed in explaining how they worked. If you’re thinking about getting your BMW coded and are within 2 – 3 hours drive from San Diego… you owe it to yourself to contact Jackson and see what he can offer you! I’ll be looking him up again on my next BMW.

I was referred to Jackson from a fellow E92 M3 owner. I have an E92 M3 and wanted to get rid of some random options such as the idrive navigation warning, seat belt chime, and amber corner running light delete and more. Jackson was very professional and now a good friend! Will refer to others!

I recently purchased a BMW and the good thing about BMW is that there are a lot of aftermarket support of little things the you couldn’t get done at a dealership. I took my BMW to Jackson to get rid of some annoying features and also customize some features to what I like.
Many BMW SD CCA members recommend Jackson for coding work on BMWs. You can find the different things coding is able to do and discover many things you never thought your car was capable of doing on his website.
I sent an email to Jackson regarding the coding work on my car and he responded very quickly and informatively. We confirmed the prices and set up a time and place to meet for him to do the coding work. Very quick and simple process.
I purchased the basic package which enabled many convenient features as well as the Alpina B3 TCU transmission flash for my 335i. For those of you who are not familiar with Alpina, they are a company that makes performance BMWs but you can’t really tell they are different from any other BMW until up close or you are an enthusiast. The Alpina B3 has the same exact transmission hardware but just a different software with different maps and shifting times. Needless to say, it was a DAY/​NIGHT difference from before the flash to afterwards. My transmission shifted like any other ordinary BMW automatic but afterwards, the shifts were so precise and quick that it felt like I was driving a car with a dual-​clutch transmission. It was that QUICK! I would definitely recommend this for any BMW owners because not only is it cheap, but this is the way BMW should have made their transmissions behave from the factory. It’s also cool how it now displays which gear the car is in currently and also starts off in 1^st gear everytime instead of 2^nd like before.
Anyway, back on topic. I also had the adaptive Bi-​Xenon headlights reprogramed to European Spec. In the US, there is a very antiquated law from the 1960’s or something that states cars must have distinct low beam and high beams. While that makes sense, what if you are on the freeway and going at a faster speed than driving locally in your community. You need to see further but unfortunately you can’t use your high-​beam because you will blind the person in front of you and oncoming traffic but your awesome Bi-​Xenons can’t adjust upwards and only left and right because of some outdated law no one knows about or enforces? Jackson was able to code the headlight now so that at speeds above 50MPH, the headlights shine further and can now pivot 360 degrees like it was designed to do. This greatly increases safety and lets one see further when driving at night without blinding other cars.
The last thing I had Jackson do (I’m not gonna go into detail on the basic convenience feature coding since there’s just way too much stuff and by now you are probably tired of reading this review haha) was the M3 GTS Brake Force Display. What this does is in the event of a panic braking, all your taillights will flash. Usually when you brake hard in a BMW, the lights just get brighter but when they flash, it warns other drivers behind you who might now be paying attention and realize you are panic braking and rear-​end you. By flashing all the lights in the back, you could potentially save your life and others. I tested it and you would really have to brake hard almost to the point of locking up and ABS interfering for the light to flash and it’s very noticeable when it does flash.
So in all, Jackson did a great job on my BMW. His work was A++ and he’s experienced so you won’t have to worry about messing anything up. I would definitely recommend Jackson for BMW coding work and he’s a pleasure to work with. His prices are also very reasonable and he is mobile so that’s convenient. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Jackson did a wonderful job coding my 2011 M3. I selected basically every option including 3 advanced options (Euro MDM, DVD in Motion, and TPMS Delete). He was quick, courteous, and very accommodating to my busy schedule. Highly recommended if you want your BMW coded in San Diego!
