Great food, but the workers are incompetent. My order has been messed up here more times than I can count.

The Brazilian Acai bowl calls out strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries on the menu so I was surprised to find apples, mango, and pineapple in my bowl. The employee referenced«seasonal fruit» rather than offering to remedy the situation. It feels more like an excuse to put whatever they want in the bowl rather than what is on the menu. And since when is spring the season for apples and not berries? I was charged for adding peanut butter only to be told they didn’t have peanut butter after bringing out the order. Service and signage were lacking which lead to my poor experience there.

Best Brazilian bowl in the city. Packed with fruit and not just melon. Friendly staff.

My only acai bowl was absolutely delicious. My only complaint is the sitting area inside the shop and how it’s dingy and uninviting. I will go back for more but I’ll try taking it outside or to go…

ONE star for having good acai bowls. Aside from that, the service here sucks. I mean, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY sucks!!! Please hire new people, not a bunch of high school, RUDE, snooty kids, who have no customer service etiquette. No hi, hello, smile or thank you… If you get lucky, one of them might greet you. If you’re the only customer, they will deliberately ignore you for a good 3 – 5 minutes until they ask you what you want. Called ahead before and ordered an acai bowl, got there 15 mins later and they told me they gave it to another customer. WTF?! Does the owner even bother reading their reviews? You guys are seriously losing customers cause of your horrible service! Seriously, DON’T BOTHERCOMINGHERE.

Blenders is a great place to come after a work out or any time your in the mood for a refreshing juice or smoothie. The prices are reasonable and even on busy days, the service is quick and efficient. They even have a few different selections of healthy«shots» if your looking for a little pick me up. The breakfast sandwiches are served on fresh bagels and are pretty spot on. If your in the area, I’d definitely recommend stopping by.

Pros Great options and varieties I have gotten to know some staff members — they are extremely friendly and kind Wonderful meal replacement without feeling guilty Cons The shop could use some TLC

They seriously need to get their schedule in check. They close whenever the hell they want, making them completely unreliable for post-gym purchases. If you say you close at 8pm, then at 7:30pm(randomly), don’t close at 7:15pm! Ridiculous. The guy behind the register was literally sucking on his drink while just staring at me as I tried to open the door. I had to gesture to ask if they were closed, since it was only 7:20pm. It looked like a bunch of kids were working this shift. Completely unprofessional and definitely not the first time this has happened. You’ve lost a customer!

Really yummy bowls here! Came in for a quick stop since I was near by and wanted an acai bowl. I ended up getting a pitaya bowl and it was delicious. I love how they add a lot of fruits and granola and other healthy ingredients in it! They even put in coconut flakes and normally when I go to other places they charge $ 1 more for coconut flakes. This place is a good place to come when you’re craving a bowl! My daughter enjoyed it as well. They have seating inside and outside. Cashier girl was friendly and nice!

I was really excited to try the acai and pitaya bowls here… unfortunately they didn’t live up to the expectation. Not only did it take nearly a half hour to get my order but the bowls consisted of scoops of ice cream a long with a little granola and fruit. What is this nonsense! Ugh probably best to stick with the smoothies here.

OG Acai Bowl!!! I have a love very much and once in awhile hate relationship with San Diego Blenders. Okay, let me explain. First of all, their acai bowls are amazing! One of the best bowls you will get in San Diego. I’m not kidding. What makes it special here is the quality of acai they use. It’s not icy and very creamy. The toppings on the OG Acai Bowl are delicious! I would say that the granola is not the best I’ve ever had, but the rest makes this bowl my go to! Service is always great. Everyone that works there seems really excited about working there and you can tell they bust their tails off, especially when it’s busy. My complaint is very simple. They don’t have reliable opening and closing hours. I’ve been here multiple times within their supposed working hours and they’ve been closed. In fact, they do not have business hours posted. I’m puzzled by it. It probably won’t stop me from coming here, since it’s super close to where I live. I would even probably come out of my way if I lived a little farther out. Just sucks when you want to dive into a bowl of acai, you can’t. I have yet to try anything different. They offer bunch of smoothies, juices, and bagels. I don’t come here for anything else other than their amazing acai!

The convenient location is what draws me to this place. They have the basics of what I need from a juice bar, but still could use some work. There are tables to eat inside & out, but no restroom for patrons. I like this place just fine, but, it’s a little pricey for their quality of juices & acai bowls. I always get little bits of unblended veggies in my juice.

I’m glad this place is here because it fills a need for acai bowls. But it doesnt measure up to the nicer chain places like Nektar. The space seems a bit dirty and the signage is out dated. The staff arent really happy sounding to be making smoothies all day. But they are friendly enough I guess. They upcharge for credit card payments a whole 50 cents. All in all, its ok but not best by FAR! Not even great acai mix because it melts really really fast. Im guessing its a lot of blended ice and very little mix. Try fro yourself but dont be expecting great things.

Customer service has definitely improved recently! Thank you for addressing customer concerns. They also changed the place a little bit. It’s cleaner and the menu board is updated with photos of some of the items. I will definitely visit this location more since it’s closeby my work.

Great great place for smoothies, fruit bowls, platters & juice. The part platter is most def epic good and is an awesome addition to any house party. You will get great compliments from everyone and it will be consumed super quick. It also goes together very very well. My only issue is when I ordered it… it felt like they didn’t want to work and when I walked in to pick it up they were like«oh, you really want that?». Um. I only called like 4 times to ensure it would be ready! The strawberry cream bowl is heaven as is the acai bowl. Everything here is great. I do wonder if the fruits are GMO free though. ;) They have a bar kinda inside and outside seating. They create things fairly quick however, customer service can be severly lacking at times.

Came in on a blazing hot summer day for the first time looking to try an Acai-bowl for the first time(as everyone has pointed me here for a good option). I came with a girlfriend so we wanted to try other things such as a «smoothie and a breakfast bagel». The acai bowl was definite delicious however next time I will say NO to honey as I felt like it was so overpowering and does not mix with this sort of concoction. Anywho the bowl was very large and perfect to share with my friend. The smoothie we got was the pineapple-peach one, that was pretty tasty however I am not sure if it was«healthy»? I think it would be helpful if they posted calories or had an area for«light/slimming» options for their smoothies. The Breakfast Bagel-we got the spinach-egg-cheese one… that was pretty good, however I felt like the cucumber ruined it and I wish it would of stated that cucumber was on it on the menu! I perhaps would of said do without… I thought the prices were reasonable, I would like to come back to try a green juice. I wish there were more options to sit inside as the bar seating was really uncomfortable due to the bar stools and the counter depth was rather slim; I feel like it needed 6 more inches to eat comfortably. I would of sat outside however it was 94 degrees and my meal would of melted!

We love Blenders so much that we HAD to make it our 1st review on Unilocal! We’ve been to many places in search of awesome acai bowls… and Blenders has the best, by far! We almost always order the ACAIONLYBOWL which comes with(starting from the bottom layer and up) granola, fruit, scoops of acai, more fruit, more granola, and topped with honey! The normal fruits are bananas and strawberries, but you can substitute or omit if you would like. Their acai bowls are heaven! We’d say that they’re almost damn right perfect. Perhaps if they topped the bottom two layers of granola and fruit with more honey… THAT would be THEPERFECT acai bowl on earth. Even the granola mix they use is the best and includes chocolate chips! We also love their RHINOBAGELS… they’re delicious! Who knew that turkey and cream cheese on a bagel could be so good?!? Our personal favorite is with the cheese bagel, but they have several to choose from. They also make a variety of fresh smoothies and juices which we have yet to venture much into. We’ve tried a few and they were delicious. But, we always find ourselves going back to our usual orders. Friendly staff. Not much seating area. But, a definite must-try in our books. You won’t be disappointed!

I love me some acai bowls, and San Diego Blenders’ is quite heavenly. I got the«only acai bowl,» which was $ 6.95(plus tax and a $.50 fee if you’re paying with card under $ 10), and that’s pretty cheap… Acai bowls are pretty expensive. There are multiple fruit bowl variations and such, so I’m sure I’ll come back here to try other ones. My favorite acai bowl still has to be the one from Juice Adventure – theirs is topped off with blueberries, coconut shavings, and honey. BUT San Diego Blenders is probably #2 in my book. It’s a pretty big acai bowl, bigger than most. The fruit to acai ratio is a little off, though. There’s a lot of acai, and it may seem as if it’s a lot of fruit, but the slices are just cut a little too big. I think it’d be better if they add more granola also! The thing I like about this acai bowl is the fact that there are little chocolate chips in it. That gives it a little umph! There were other people, but I got my acai bowl pretty quickly. It’s a small place and the parking lot can get a little crowded, but if you’re in the area, you must try it.

This place was ok for what I was craving, but didn’t blow my mind. We walked in and they said they were only serving smoothies but after further deliberation they finally agreed to make a bowl for us. We ordered the Brazilian and California bowls. Brazilian acai’s was a bit watery, fruit for both bowls was good but not fantastic. We felt more comfortable eating our bowls in the car since it didn’t seem like they wanted us there. Anyway, fruit was ok but that was it, not the greatest experience.

I love San Diego Blenders solely because of their açaí bowls. I have been obsessed with açaí for years, and not until recently did I find out that’s its a thing now… literally every smoothie/fruit shop sells bowls now, woohoo! Seeing as this place is so close to home I decided to stop by to try out their version of this amazing creation that is this bowl. I like that Blenders uses pure açaí and they don’t blend with juice or other shenanigans, otherwise, what’s the point? The texture is sorbet like, which I like. It comes with bananas, strawberries, granola and honey. Personally I hold off on the honey as I don’t like it, and i would think it would be overwhelmingly sweet. There are other items in the menu including a wide array of smoothies, fruit bowls, and fresh juices. Who said healthy couldn’t be delicious? I would have to say that customer service could be better. It can take a while for someone to take your order sometimes, and I appreciate a warm greeting now and then. Altogether, I will continue to come here for my fix, this might be dangerous.
