History
Established in 2006.
The dream of Saint Jacques Chocolat began in 2006 when owner and master chocolatier, Max McConaghay combined chocolate culinary expertise acquired in both Italy and France with knowledge of food science and nutrition as a Registered Dietitian. The result, exquisite chocolates of the finest quality.
While living and learning the art of chocolate in Italy, Max graduated from the Ecole Chocolat Professional School of Chocolate Arts. Max’s strive to chocolate perfection took her to study at L’Ecole Du Grand Chocolat Valrhona in Tain-l’ Hermitage, France, one of the most sought after chocolate schools in the world, admission is by invitation only.
After completion of her training in France, Max spent over two years perfecting her signature chocolates in Charleston, South Carolina before returning to her native home of California.
