Great coffee/​baked goods/​atmosphere. I come here weekends I hang around town with a friend or by myself to read/​write/​do homework. Walking off the street and into here feels like a slice of Vermont (if you like Vermont).
It’s very family friendly and I see a lot of families with small children coming in and out.

This bread is delicious! I love the pretzel rolls and sourdough. I really like the French bread as well. Anyways I pretty much like all their bread.

I got a sourdough loaf of bread and my bf got the ciabatta one. I made a sandwich for lunch and it was so good– the bread was crunchy, fresh, and soft on the inside. I usually don’t like to eat the same thing 2 days in a row, but I made another sammich for my lunch tomorrow! My bf said his loaf was really good too– he’s making himself a midnight snack right now Lol!’

Got to sample some of your baked goods at the Unilocal Rocks the Boat party last night! Now I have a new place to buy my breads!
And upon walking out after the party, one of your helpers handed my mom a whole loaf of delicious bread and me a bag of sliced grain baguette! I’ve been eating it all morning! So good!

The best bread I have eaten in San Diego for a long while!
I used to know this brand from the farmers market and some food festival i attended. But I had no idea that you could get these delicious bread at Vons!
Yesterday I felt the urge to make a sandwitch Spanish style: prosciutto (no jamon serrano close by), manchego cheese, tomato in the bread and olive oil… but was missing the baguette, and I was craving something crusty. Went to Vons out of proximity not expecting great surprises and oh my, I saw Sadie Rose packaging and went directly to grab some baguettes plus a couple of those cranberry, orange-​something else brioches. Good price, delicious and freshly made. Feeling like eating good quality bread from Europe instead of plastified compound of undefined something. I still need to visit their headquaters and see them in action!

I love every bite I’ve had of Sadie Rose breads! I order the Specialty Produce Farmer’s Market bag often and one of the reasons is that I know I can order something yummy from Sadie Rose! Pretzel buns are not just for burgers :) I like to toast them and serve them half at a time with horseradish sauce, roast beef, pickles and cheese melted on top :) I’ve enjoyed many many other treats from them as well. This weekend I’m using their hoagie rolls to make veggie grills.

Not all bread is created equal. Recently sampled the ciabatta bread from Sadie Rose Baking Company. Was impressed with the quality of the the loaf, and now see that I’m not alone in my praise of this artisan baking company. The outside of the bread had a good crunch, the inside was light and airy. Toasted, with butter and jam, it was a beautiful thing.

We bought a loaf of the sliced French bread at the La Jolla market today and paired it with some spreads from a vendor a few stalls down. What a delicious light lunch! The bread toasted up perfectly and had the perfect French bread taste, crumb and crust. Yes, I’ve had French bread in France (which is a taste one never forgets) so I’m hopeful/​confident that I know what I’m talking about.
This is easily the best bread I’ve had since coming to San Diego (almost a year ago). If this bread were sold for $ 3 instead of $ 4.50, it would certainly be worthy of 5 stars just because I would consider the price a steal. Despite being sad that I’ll probably go broke buying this bread too often, I know I got what I paid for, and it is wonderful!

Don’t really think 5 stars is in order, more like 3.75, but they produce a high quality product and a reasonable price. Honestly, Bread and Cie outshines them.

I have eaten their breads at Good on Ya (GOY), but they are all outstanding. I buy 2lb loaves for $ 8 from GOY when I make soup at home or sometimes for no reason. I like Country French and Multigrain the best — healthy and substantial — they remind me of the wonderful breads one finds in Germany and France. Their baguettes are not as good. Hands down the best bread in San Diego. I strongly suspect they use equipment and recipes from Europe. Try their breads and then you’d realize why people have called bread the «staff of life».
If only they’d sell direct to public! No more waking up early for Farmers Markets!

This place is driving me crazy. I live on the next block and it smells unbelieveably good when they’re baking. I visited their website and the breads look incredible. However, it seems that I have to drive to Ocean Beach Farmer’s Market during work hours to buy the effin bread.

Had their bread at Bleu Boheme. perfectly crisp crust on the outside and a loose glutenous crumb on the inside. everything a good sourdough should be like. now if they only had a retail!

I love having this place on G street, because when you drive by in the morning there is a lovely aroma of fresh bread in the air. Any time I walk to albertsons I like to walk down G just to smell the yummy bread. This place supplies fifty-​seven degrees with bread next door, and it is really good. The best bread is warm just out of the oven bread.
