Sabine Purps, DDS

I was on business this week and was dealing with some excruciating pain in my lower wisdom tooth. Being from out of town, I felt like a lost puppy in a strange place. After a quick google search for emergency services, I came upon Dr. Purps. She immediately calmed me and helped me find a solution to my pain.
She was incredibly welcoming and even though I won’t be a local patient, I would highly recommend her to anyone living in the San Diego area.

It was time for me to find a new dentist, and I found this place on Unilocal.I can see why after only 1 visit that it is so highly rated! Staff is very friendly, doctor is super nice, and the whole place is modern and warm. I was given a tour of the facility, and wow, talk about going the extra mile! I can actually feel comfortable about going to the dentist. The folks here are all top notch!

After 3years of being a patient here, I can not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Purps and her staff/​office! Friendly, professional, zen. It doesn’t matter if I’m coming in for a cleaning or having work done, I leave here feeling relaxed and good about the experience. That says a lot for a dentist considering how unpleasant dental work can be! 5 stars, hands down. My husband and I are fans. If you’re in the market for a new dentist, or don’t love (LOVE!) your current… give Fine Dentistry/​Dr. Purps a try :)
(You can tell a lot about the care they give their patients just by looking at the personal design of their offices. Even down to personally designing the work stations for a relaxed feel– Dr. Purps goes the holistic route. No clinical bright lights or typical doctor feel here!)

Dr. Purps and her entire staff are fantastic. From the moment I walk in the door, I feel like family. The office is beautifully decorated and feels warm and inviting; a very spa/​zen like environment. Everyone here loves what they do and it shows in their treatment of patients. I have been seeing Dr. Purps for a couple of years and have not had a bad experience yet.
As a side note, I work at an endodontic office here in San Diego. When I was looking for my new dentist, I had the benefit of seeing the work of hundreds of dentists under a microscope. I did not take the decision of picking a dentist lightly. Dr. Purps work is as exceptional as her treatment of patients. She is a top notch dentist.

I wish I would’ve found Dr. Purps years ago. I feel she’s the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Outstanding professionalism, ongoing learning & education, and a great team that produces the best results for the patient.
Every person there is dedicated and friendly. I absolutely love the clean environment and the state of the art equipment. I had gone to many dentists up in LA for many yrs. and they all told me «oh everything is ok.» Well, thanks to digital x-​rays & Dr. Purps assessments, I am finally on my way to having healthy teeth.

My husband found Dr. Purps a few years ago when he was undergoing some extensive dental work (braces, implants, etc.). He went to several dentists before he found this one. He was very impressed and felt very comfortable working with her. This is saying a lot, because my husband has a lot of bad childhood experiences with dentists and therefore carries a big sachel of baggage about it and eyes up all dentists with skepticism and wariness.
Dr. Purps won his heart that we started taking our two daughters there, too. The kids are only 3 years old and 4 years old, but Dr. Purps and her staff are so warm hearted and patient, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
I want to give special credit to the lady that runs the front desk, Patty, who makes my girls feel like little princesses every time we see her. She took the time to give the preschoolers a full tour of the office so they would feel comfortable, welcomed, and safe.
And another big thumbs up to Ashley, the hygenist, for her magical powers of negotiation with getting my fraidy cat four year old into the chair for a cleaning! I didn’t think it was going to happen, but Ashley won her over with patience and charm.
Then, there’s the shallow and vain side of me that adores her office design. It’s really beautiful, very hip décor and layout. Everything seems designed to make you feel as ease and comfortable. Rounded walls, indirect lighting, soft sage green colors, river rocks, etc.

Dr. Purps and her staff feel like family (and welcome me as such) each time I visit. Granted, I have had A LOT of dental work from her over the years, but from cleanings, to cavities, to bridges and everything beyond, I have received top-​notch service and long-​lasting, aesthetically superior dental work. Her ortho, endo and periodontal referrals are all A+ as well — what a great network she has of good (and truly likeable) people giving great service! (I know she works hard at cultivating the best circle, too!) I can’t say enough good about the practice.
I tell my friends about their «dental spa» atmosphere… when was the last time you walked into a dentist office that looked and smelled like an Aveda store? The nice touches include minty lip balm during your procedures so your lips don’t dry out — imagine that?! The flowers, the music, the lighting, the great hand soap… all features that take the stress out of visiting the dentist. Yes, I actually look forward to my appointments.
The best part is that Dr. Purps gives you a complete evaluation and a «plan» so that, even if you can’t afford everything you ideally need, you can work towards it and trust her judgement in what can wait and what would benefit you now. I appreciate the one-​on-​one time she gives, and she allows me to be comfortable enough to let her know when I can’t /​won’t do something she recommends (though rare.) There are no $$ surprises either; she is definitely a peer in MY dental health management.
Thank you Dr. Purps for the kindness and generosity you showed me and my daughter in her time of need. It will always be remembered! :) You, Patty, Marsha and Lourdes ROCK!

I was extremely happy with Dr Purps dental work. I had an onlay done at her office and experienced absolutely no sensitivity what so ever. I have past experience of sensitivity lasting over a year from fillings. I feel confident in her dentistry. She really took her time with me and did a great job! Oh, and her office is beautiful!

I was looking for a new dentist for quite some time. The last one I went to I left within 10 minutes. It looked like the equipment has not been updated since ’78. Dr. Sabine Purps office is state-​of-​the-​art. She is very knowledgeable and keeps up on new procedures and equipment. I have been going there since 2007 and can only recommend her. The staff is also friendly. My husband even goes to her and he is not a big fan of dental work or cleanings. Two thumbs up!

A good family friend recommended Dr Purps as a great dentist and let me tell you they have to be a good friend for me to listen to anyone as far as the dentist goes. What a relief the rooms are clean and immaculate doesn’t even smell like a dentist which helps. Dr Purps is great and it is so nice to be looking up into a beautiful face when getting ones teeth repaired than some 90 year old with nose hairs.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who has the old memories of dentists in there heads and that is why they avoid them like the plague this is a completly refreshing experience.
